- Jim replies to HomeMom1963They are frauds. They flaunt the FDCPA laws by claiming they are going to take you to court when that's the LAST thing they want to do. I hired an attorney & sued them because of their illegal collection practices and won a $2000.00 Judgement and got the debt wiped out. I owed the debt, but THEY owe the debtor and their clients the responsible, LEGAL collection of the debt.
Most FDCPA firms with take the case on a no money up front agreement & get their fee from a percentage of the settlement. - Jim replies to mmm| 2 repliesBeing unable to pay a debt is NOT a crime. Violating FDCPA laws trying to COLLECT the debt IS. & They are violating the law by misrepresenting the debt and what their actions will be TO collect it.
Hire a FDCPA lawyer in your area & fight back. Most of the FDCPA lawyers get their fee out of the settlement so you have no cost & might even get a little money out of it like the $2000 I got - Elizabeth replies to BlackfeetThank you for that, I am very worried
- Yeah replies to mmm| 1 replyI hope you never have a problem where you get any financial problems and cant pay for whatever reason. NOone is crap for having problems. You are very judgemental and mean so someday you will see if you lose your job or have someone in the hospital or lose a husband or wife that puts you financially where you cant get out of it so I hope noone treats you like these people treat others or like you treat anyone.
- Jim replies to mmmm23Go to the Yellow pages and choose a FDCPA attorney. Most don't charge you a fee, they get their cut out of the settlement. This is what these bottom feeding collection agencies DON'T because it hurts their bottom line after you hire the attorney then call the collection agency & tell them to direct all inquiries to your attorney & the calls should stop. You'll probably also get a little settlement money if the attorney is successful
- TomTheir call comes through without any caller ID.....that's my first clue to not answer. They called on my UNLISTED home number. Obviously, they are a scam. Screw 'em, I'm not calling back. If they continue to call, I'll set a block on their number (the one they leave, 888-878-5206)
- Caller: ACS & Associates
- Call type: Debt collector
- mmm replies to Jimbeing "unable" is one thing, but refusing to pay or claiming its a scam that collectors call about a debt is wrong!!!!! if they have a debt with your name on it then you owe it! simple!
- mmm replies to Yeahnot for nothing, but most of the pay day loan debts are taken out and the accounts the debtor gives the client are shut down or the money is not avail. most people who take these things out never intend to pay it back because they are looking for money because they are broke to being with !!! How about this--- you people who look for kiss ass treatment who stole money... try getting a job in the collection field... i BET you change your mind about debtors !!!!
- mmm replies to Jimsee your looking for a way to GET money for nothing -- just like you did with the pay day loan. you make yourself look HORRIBLE ha... and its the collectors that are bad ?? ok lol
- stan| 1 replyThey said I had a loan with check n go I don't even know what checking go is don't fall for it
- fyi replies to stanWhat you should do is call the client directly. aka check and go. tell them there is a loan out there in your name and ssn ... If a collection agency is calling you about a debt then there is a debt in your name... maybe someone stole your information and took the loan out in your name. its not the collection agencies fault!!! go to the client! common sense. !!!
- Not StupidYeah... I'm supposedly a 'Person of Interest' in an internet fraud case and that if I don't contact them back immediately, they will serve papers with the FBI and have me arrested.
(o_0)
Last time I checked, if the FBI wanted me, they'd have me already. And I'm pretty sure you don't serve papers to the FBI; they serve papers (in the form of warrants) to you.
Just sayin'...- Caller: Apex (Something Said So Fast, You Can't Understand It)

- R.S. WashingtonI have received several calls from the number 206-418-6816 and leaving messages on my voice mail all saying the same thing and that I need to call back asap so they can get my voice recorded that I will comply with their terms regarding settling the issue at hand. They said to call 1-888-878-5206 by the end of business or on October 18th 2012 papers will be served. They said they had my social number and will proceed with the criminal charges against me....
I'm not going to call them back but will report the threats that they are making to me. After checking the number that comes up on my cell phone, it's a roto-call when they talk on the voice mail...it is a local number and they probably need paid. Darn people need to leave me alone. This really ticks me off, I have enough stress without this crap.- Caller: ???

- Take my advice| 1 replyWhat they are doing is illegal make sure when you talk to them to RECORD EVERYTHING THEY ARE SAYING and sue them! These are all old papers that aren't even hitting your credit anymore, paying them off is just a waste of money at this point. You will not be served any papers, they use this as a scare tactic. They have a program where they can even change their number (which is also illegal) to make it look like they are calling from your county. Sometimes they will even call saying that they are from your local police station and you will have a warrant for your arrest if you do not contact so and so and pay them. AGAIN, this is not true as well. Don't fall for this! They WILL harass anybody you have lived with and your family members. They have a program that they can search all that information, including your SSN, etc. Don't ever give them a dime.. Even if you wanted to start establishing better credit, it just does not affect it anymore, the company who loaned you the money doesn't receive a dime. You will be paying them monthly/weekly and they keep all the money they receive and party and go on vacations while laughing about it. Think how much money they will get a week if 10 people for each worker is paying them... these people are making money off of people by being liars and crooks. They are all scum, cheaters, beaters, druggies, alcoholics. They are scum of the scum and not to ever be trusted... Like I said earlier- RECORD, RECORD, RECORD!
- H Harvey replies to Linda DawsonAre you part of the scam? These smammers are sending emails identifying themselves as Apex Debt Solutions. THey provide an address in Rhode Island and also a list of "attorneys" with the company. Well,
1. According to the Rhode Island Secretary of State's Office there is no business with that name or at that address.
2. According to the Rhode Island Bar Association no names provided were licensed attorneys.
Apex Debt Solutions has website but the number listed on it's face page is no loger operating and no other information is found about the company.
These scammers are camel riding [***] who can speak, or write, english fluently. - H Harvey replies to Take my adviceYou're right it is a scare tactic their using. I received an email from them two times, 10/22,23/2012, and was told I would be sued. I called and argued withese no english speaking [***]. They identify themselves as Apex Debt Solutions and the phone number provided is registerd in Providence, RI. However, the address listed on their email is West Warwick,RI. They also had several names of "attorneys" who were with the company. I contacted the Rohode Island Secretary of State's Office and the Rhode Island Bar Association and found there are no businesses licensed under that name or address, and no attorneys withe names provided are licensed to practice in the state of Rhode Island. When I call these camel riding [***] I tell them I am representing the citizens of the United States and I am going to find them.
