Report a phone call from 888-882-3811 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Nicole replies to Diane MonetteI just googled the number and this came up. I am so happy that many other people are receiving these calls so it is not just me. (i'm not happy that they are calling but just that I am not alone). I wondered how they got my number but a light bulb just went off in my head when you said scene card. hmm.
- Stephen HI got this call, just in time for supper!!! there should be a website to prevent further calls...
- soon to be ex-customerOMG they call every night, sometimes in the day as well. I never pick up - they never leave a message. If it is Scotiabank I'm really pi$$'d, I will pull my accounts! I hate being solicited after being a customer. I told off TD bank now they leave me alone. If I want a another credit card, insurance or whatever I will go there and get it. NEVER OVER THE PHONE!!!! Besides that I am on the DNCL too. STOP calling me.
- Caller: unknown *Scotiabank*
- carolThey call every two days. When I picked up the phone, no one answered me. When I put them forward to the voice mail, they didn't leave a message. I don't want to receive their calls any more!!!
- chris| 2 repliesThey use different numbers...8888823811, 800877886888, 9054809108, 416 915 7930, 716 406 4415, 4168000323, 416 640 0651
I am on the useless DNCL (which can't stop companies using their Indian branches from calling) and I have blocked all the above numbers using my IP phone.
I bet you they use another number to call me next!...stay tuned and I'll update you
Did anyone write to the Scoita CEO office? if yes, please post the results- Caller: Scotia
- Call type: Telemarketer
- mature and civilized| 2 repliesYou idiots, ignoring a call isnt going to stop another one from coming in. If you will take the time to read things before you sign them you can avoid these calls...another good idea is being a good boy or girl and answering the phone and politely saying "please take me off your calling list" scotiabank and scene probably have millions of customers and there aren't even up to 30 people who have come on here to whine since 2009...everyone gets these calls...if you really think the same person looks at your name and says "hey why dont i give her a call!?!" 100 times a month at the exact, then you are truly dense, PLUS the rep that you are cursing at might just accidentally hit call again, rather than do not call....fyi charities and companies you have business with are not bound by the national do not call list, but have their own internal lists that you can POLITELY request to be put on....ive never had a repeat call from solicitors, so im not just saying this. it works. grow up fools, and while you're at it, get a life....
- AnonymI wish this call is my girlfriend who keeps on calling me and want me everyday
- CodyMy girlfriend who is not a Scotia client but of course a Scene member for whatever reason( hard to collect any amount of points with no link to the bank) gets this call nightly. I went into her Scene account and clicked unsubscribe on all the trash which she left herself subscribed too.
Funny thing is that I am a Scotia client and I have never once gotten any marketing calls from them. I too have a Scene card and sure enough had all the crap checked to subscribe including telemarketing. I have both the Scene Visa and Interac card. Either way I am now too unsubscribed from all.
I will assume with the responses on here once the Scene trash is dealt with the telemarketing stops.- Caller: Scotiabank
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Sherry KnoxI receive a call from this number 3 or 4 times a week and when I pick up they hang up. I want this to stop!
- Caller: Unknown
- DaileeThey call my house all the time. My husband picked up once but they wouldn't talk to him. This is nuts.
- Jenn replies to mature and civilized| 1 replyI do not have a Scotia bank account, however, I do have a scene card, THIS is how they got my number. I asked politely that I be taken off the list and they keep calling. I just send those calls to my answering machine from now on, they don't leave a message.
- RossLets see....where to begin....Oh yes...ScotiaBank Phone Solicitation.....They have called me twice a day for a week now. I even called them back and told them to remove me from their lists..
The joke is, ScotiaBank is So Tight with their credit, they have to do phone sales. I know this first hand. I attempted to get a Mortgage through them,,,,what a joke.
In any case, they told me it would take a month to stop calling me.
I will be going to the police next.
I have their number registered on the National "Do Not Call List"- Caller: ScotiaBank
- Call type: Telemarketer
- JaimetI get a call at least once a day from this number. I called the number back and it is Scotiabank. A few months ago I got a Scene card for the movies. Ever since, they've been trying to get me to sign up for a credit card by sending me applications in the mail. I can only assume, they're trying to get me to do this on the phone as well, but I don't ever answer.
- Caller: SCOTIABANK
- Call type: Telemarketer
- TomWell. Just got this call an hour ago. Since it's in my block call list, the call was blocked. And now an hour later I got the call again. Ringed once and the list took over. I guess this number will be in the list for a long time.
- Caller: Unkown
- GO SCOTIA!! replies to Terry F.| 3 repliesI receive these calls all the time and I LOVE THEM!! They really are calling from scotiabank, and they always have excellent offers for pre-approved credit cards and other products. I guess I'm just one of those knowledgeable people who actually LISTEN to what the people have to say and DETERMINE FOR MYSELF whether or not the offer is good or not. What's the big deal if your financial institution calls you to offer you one of their products at a discounted price? Then you idiots complain about all the fees the bank charges but you neglect to listen to them when they are trying to throw you a bone.
- Ken X replies to JennHi Jenn, had the same issue before. Go on scene.ca and unsubscribe your phone number and that's it!!! No longer those calls.
- AngeCalling me every night between 6 and 9pm. I don't answer and am already on a Do Not Call list so finding this pretty annoying.
- annoyed!I want this number to stop calling me!!!!!!! It never fails everyday...
- DB replies to MelleI am being called frequently ... it's related to my Scene card as I called the number back and got an English-speaking woman. I asked to be removed from the call list and it hasn't happened yet. I changed my contact settings on my Scene card and that hasn't helped. I just ignore the calls. That's until I feel like yelling at them! :0)
- bb| 1 replyJust want to let people know if you are on the DNCL, you can still get phone calls from companies you have done business with within the past 3 years!!!!!
