I got a call from a very strange number... 888888888888 I got this call around 12:53 lunchtime on Feb. 20, 2008.

I don't even know if this number is a legal number.

Can somebody help me in finding how can we stop this unidentified phone calls?

so i didn't answer it and press hang up.
they call me again 3 times.anyone know this from no. from hell.

I'm from the Czech Republic and got a call from no +888888888888 too. It was on March 27. but I didn't answer.

Isn't that some kind of a gate that manages calls from internet messengers like Skype, Yahoo or something?

I too got a call from this number the other day (Thursday 17th April). I didn't answer it either. I think it maybe a scam too.

Very intrigued too. My advice is to not answer the call nor text it as it may charge you premium prices.

I received a call on 27.04.08. at 14.20 from this number: +888888888888 and didn't answer. The number itself looks weird. I can't really see the point in this number, if I was a scammer, surely wouldn't use this number assuming that no one was going to pick up the phone....????

i just got a call as well, 1th of may, 7:43. didn't answer. but can somebody please be brave an answer to see whats going on???????

It's Skype! I'm in London and I had a couple of missed calls down as no-number which is usually skype then, this +888.. one so I looked it up here, and then just now it called again while I was reading this, so I answered, and tada! It was my friend calling from America via Skype. It must be some crazy internet number.

Ahh mystery solved.

From the UK.  I got called by this number at 18:23 x 4 today (twice it came up as "unknown" and twice as the 888.. number).  Then half hour later I got the call again.  I rang O2 and they suggested it maybe someone calling from abroad using those a foreign dial cards(?)  Strange that sometimes the number was withheld though...don't trust it. (Might answer and blow a whistle down the phone next time!!)

I'm in London and have just received a 'missed call' from this number .  My mobile rang twice then stopped.

Think it's Skype or something. I just had a missed call from +888888888888 and the voicemail left was my brother calling from Australia

Yup, me too, answered 1st time (silly me) and there was no answer, so hung up the next two times. I got voice mail with it too and it was my mother,

There is no mention of it being skype anywhere else on the internet. Also, skype claim their numbers come in as 'unknown' unless you own a skype-out number (which shows a real number like 0800 123 123)

So i'm VERY dubious about it being skype! I shan't be answering if I get another call.

i got a call from the +888888888888 and indeed, my call was from my brother on skype in Oz, so it could well be someone calling you on skype. though i was very doubtful myself, it appears this was the answer in my case!

Am from Kenya East Africa, I received the call on 6th of June 2008 5.10am, 5.22a & 5.45am. I answered it the second time, no response though. Can someone help me....this is strange
