Just had Time Warner installed 1 month ago. They called me and the second I said hello, they hung-up. I called them back and they said they had no reason to call me. The rep said it was probably an error call on their part. I get soo many scam and solicitation calls, that I have filled all 30 numbers on my block call list. I'll just have to hope they don't start calling me over and over.

Received two calls from them this past month, but did not answer. I decided to look up the information online because I had a feeling it was a solicitor. Now that I know it's some Time Warner Cable scam trying to get me to buy things and waste my time, I'll just keep declining their calls. Thanks for the heads up to everyone that posted.

It's a sales call from TWC, probably because we just got Fios in our neighborhood and have a new option.  Sucks to be them because I'm switching.

They call me non stop.

For me, When the number called no one would say anything for like a minute. But it was basically a "Rate your experience" type thing. Talk about a lagged Robot that doesn't start talking till a minute into the call.

Get these calls ALL THE TIME from this number.  It's Time Warner Cable trying to upsell you on additional products they offer.

I love how informed people are (NOT). The DNC list is for UNSOLICITED calls, not calls from businesses that you already do business with!! ALSO: just answer the phone and say NO. How hard is that?? Everyone needs more practice saying NO. Ignorance is bliss I guess?!

Received a call from 888-892-2253, automated message stating my Time Warner Cable account is in "peril" and I needed to call them back at 888-252-2253 (it is a different number number, notice that?). I called the 2nd number and received an automated message stating it was the "Comcast Community Sales Line" and that the number would be disconnected after Jan 11th, (um, it's MAY 9th today).. anyway, it is an obvious scam call, not even associated with Time Warner really.  I do HAVE time warner service, and I LOVE it AND their customer service has always been good. Don't blame a good company because our society is full of parasites.  Just don't fall for it either.

The number 888-892-2253 is Time Warner Cable, requesting feedback or a survey regarding any calls you have placed to them.  Every time you call TWC, the CSR requests you to complete a survey at the end of the call; if you contact them online, same thing.

I work for TWC and can say that that number is listed as us. but the calls going out using that number are not us calling you it is a scam company

In our household we've gotten to the point where we never pick up calls UNLESS we recognize or know who is the caller. If the party calling doesn't leave a message indicating the purpose of their call with a return number we can call back, then we just ignore the call--figuring that if it IS really that important they will eventually leave an adequate message we can understand and respond intelligently to!
