I just payed my bill n about an hour later they called me 10 times.  I think they r getting desperate.  I know a lot of people cancelling their cable service.   It's so much cheaper to have Netflix, Roku or hulu etc.  Plus if u are on a really tight budget u can always go to the library.  U can check out 20 movies at once for free

Guys, this is some SCAM company FAKING as Time Warner Cable calling! They called and left different messages in December, January and March! This number is just a different version of (800) 892-2253!

This is one of their repeated automated messages from December and January:
"Hello, This is Time Warner Cable calling about an important change in the status of the accounts belong to Firstname Lastname (WHICH IS NOT EVEN MY NAME!), please call us within the next 24 hours at (800) 892-2253. Again, please call Time Warner Cable regarding an important change in the status of your account within the next 24 hours at (800) 892-2253, Thank you for choosing Time Warner Cable."

I got called from (888) 892-2253 in March. They are basically the same SCAMS with the other 800 number. March messages are varied versions about random appointment schedules and services that DO NOT MAKE ANY SENSE so I can tell you this is totally SCAM! DO NOT ANSWER OR CALL BACK!

So these calls are fake?

I used the Time Warner Cable Service Tech Support to activate a modem I received on eBay (to avoid the $5 rental fees) and Tech Person did remind me that TWC would call me within the 20 minutes after I finished getting the modem up and running. The call came in and it was a computer robo caller (in a woman's voice) asking to rate the service I had just received using a number scale. I responded by pressing the touch-tone key of my choice and was thanked for participating in their survey. That was the end of it.

Same experience but with Verizon. When I had Verizon, I paid more for less. They are horrible. Now they are calling me at my new "unlisted" number all the time. Verizon will not leave me alone.

I had verizon 3 days and my bill was almost $250.00, While disputing it for 2 weeks it almost doubled, $480.00 again, 3 days!  Take the time to read the contract, it's there for the companies to make money.  Of course if you read the contract, you probably won't sign up with anyone.  It's pretty bad!!

I answered the call, silence for 15 seconds. Call then ended.

I am receiving phone calls from this number 1-888-892-2253. I hang up n decline the call.

This call came thru a cell phone .Did not answer- but did a search and found this could be
Time Warner / Spectrum....  A horrible service at the very least on all levels!!!!
