My ex-husband's wife was left a message on her cellphone for me today from the 850 phone number! My ex-husband called them back and of course he was given the same bullcrap. My ex-husband, having a short temper, gave them the business and told them to come and take him to jail. They told him it was a civil matter to which I responded, "they don't take you to jail for civil matters." Then I called the number (and blocked mine, of course) and when I got the name of the place I Googled it and have been reading posts about them on here and scam book.com ever since!

I received a call saying I wrote a bad check in 2003 (actually the loan was in 2002) to Advanced America and through their investigation they viewed the video and sworn testimony from Carl Reinhert.  The guy was so rude and would not let me get a word in.  The original message was from Thomas Whittaker.  I asked for a number to call, back and he said I don't like giving out my personal number but it is 303-353-1791 and a woman answered the phone (equally as rude) saying she couldnt hear me and hung up.  When I called back I spoke with Michael Murdock again where he told me he would send the Adams County Sheriff over tonight to take me to jail.  I have full intentions of filing as many complaints as I can against this company "Regional Arbitration Services".  The jerk said I have been avoiding them, although this is the first time I have ever received a call from them.

just got a message left on recorder from Thomas Whitaker. He ask for me and said I was a person of interest in a arbitration, to call him back at                              1-888-900-3120, and left a case number.  I called and a recorded message came on and told me if i did not know the person extension number to hold on and the next available operator would help me.  some think is very fishy i thought.  so i got on computer and googled the company's name he gave, Regional Arbitration Services, I could not find a company with this name , so i googled  the phone number. THANK YOU GOD for google.  got this site saying this number was a fraud . Though so.  always listen to your first instinct.

Ya their [***] scammers they sent me a letter and I called and I was told I owe $497.00 dollars from a payday loan from advance America from April 2002 my loan was $197.00. When you call the (801)-478-6864 it forwards your call to (213) 261-0299 ext. 117 this is guy is a total [***] [***] he told me if I don’t pay the $497.00 dollars in 10 days I would go to jail well number one they don’t send to jail only a judge can do that [***]. I spoke to the lead investigator for the Los Angeles county district office and he told me not to worry he said it is a scam trying to get peoples monies don’t fall for it [***] all the way and if he had the time and manpower they would do something about it but oh well at least he was very nice and helpful thank you sir his name is Mike Holguin check it out if you want

I received a call from Michael Murdock as well saying that I owed over $1,200 to Advance America for a loan that I took out in 2004 (actually it was 2003). He used all the threats too saying that they had me on video too and a sworn statement from somebody. I called Advance America corporate and they said I only owe $344 and that they acct was sold to a company starting with the letter "P". Advance America took Regional Arbitation info too to submit to their fraud department. I was stupid for giving out my debit card number. They took $25 that day though. Thank God! I went ahead an canceled my card before they were to take out another payment. My cousin is the sheriff where I live and FYI, you can't go to jail for a payday loan! DON"T FALL FOR THE TRAP!!!

I have been getting the same thing but they're trying to tell me that there was an extra $250.00 added to my total for lawyer's fee and I have not been to court yet what a fraudulent thing to tell me on phone!!!!I also talked to the lady at Advance America and she told me they had sold my account to someone else imagine that!!!

Got a call from these people looking for a friend of mine. When I called them back to tell them to remove my number, they got nasty with me and tried to get my personal information. I didnt fall for it. It just siounded to fishy to me. I hung up and looked online only to find that my intuition was what I was feeling. These people have alot of nerve. I hope they get caught. What a looser. They called me from 888-900-3120, but it came across on my phone as 214-484-0067. Please beware. Dont fall for it.

I got a call again from Michael Murdock stating that he was going to get in contact with my HR Dept. at my job to get me served. LOL!! Good luck with that one buddy!

I filed Ch 13 bankruptcy to stop collection calls but these idiots keep calling. I've told them over and over about the bankruptcy but they don't care. Today I got a call saying they are challenging my bankruptcy in my local state court (what a joke bankruptcy is federal not state court). I told the idiot "investigator" to call my bankruptcy attorney. He took the name and number but proceeded to tell me I was going to be arrested for bank fraud charges and falsifying information. I have repeatedly complained to my bankruptcy attorney but he has done nothing. I want to sue these people does anyone have their actual address?

I live in Springfield, Illinois and that regional arbitration was linked to that 888.900.3120 phone #...and they called me for almost a year, and actually took me to court in Sangamon County. They sued me for $3,000.

IDK how the scammers can link themselves to the # but be careful!!!

They did not sue that person or take them to court..They are a scam and even have put there address as canada and no one out of the cou ntry can sue you. They cloak numbers from the state you live in to make it look like they are in your state but they are not..All address information they give is false. Anyone posting on here that they were sue and were in court because of these scammers is lying and most likely part of the scam.

I came online to research this number because I spoke with a representative and I myself was skeptical of their accusations. I read this blog and decided to dismiss what they were saying. I was wrong and now im finding it hard to work this out. If anything find out what there calling about and try to get some info...theres no harm in doing so. This blog is misleading,.....they can be harsh...but that doesnt mean their fraudulent! Do your own research!

I had been receiving phone calls from this company called "REGIONAL ARBITRATION SERVICES" for the past few weeks now. Thinking it was just a debt collector I ignored the phone calls until one day I came home and heard the last four of my social security on my voicemail.. I immediately returned the phone call and spoke to their office manager named FRANK WHITE. He was very understanding and was willing to work with me. Not knowing what this debt was that I owed I asked for documentation that he had no problem with giving it to me. Within the next hour I received an email with the creditor, the amount, and also a case number. All of which I followed up on with ADVANCE AMERICA. They verified that I had owed the debt so I agreed to set up payment arrangements with the company. After my account was paid in full I received another notice in the mail stating all the documentation that I needed for my own records. If it wasn't for those phone calls I probably would have avoided the debt for an even longer period of time and who knows, the debt could have eventually increased. Again, FRANK WHITE was very reasonable and understanding of my economic situation while some people were not as much.

I was contacted by them too. I guess I had an account with Advance America that I took out in college and forgot about....I demanded proof of debt I didnt recieve right away but I got it and had no other choice but to pay.

I keep getting calls from this place (thomas whitaker)  they said the name of the person they claimed owed a debt was Jesus something.  I waited online and was connected and told them there was no such person at this number.  I asked her how they have my number and she said the numbers are recycled.  I asked what does that mean and she said that maybe the person they were contacting had the number before. I told her that was not true , I've had this number for 22 years.  She got angry and said look you can call somebody else and compalin, I said yeah and you can call someone else too.  and to stop calling for someone who doesnt live here.   they call your house and then act rude when you are in the right.  if I could reach through the phone...................    it is ridiculous

I did contact the Attorney General's Office.  I received a very poor reply and a copy of the web page of Regional Arbitration Services.  I thought the reply was an insult.
