i seen messages costing 1.50 on my orange phone bill for 89069.
called 08451309911 (call from a landline) the guy there said he would block the messages and took my details to email some other company "awa" the woman from awa called within 5 minutes and i explained that i had been receiving the txts for no reason,and she says that i will be refunded!

Sames just happened to me. this makes me sick.

I've just recieved two of these unsolicited texts.If I get billed for either of them, Orange are history.

i also got phone call from this number. i want to talk with you please call me my phone number is 9641522873

I have received text messages from funtubes too, that were unsolicited.  After reading through this forum, I sent an email to Lara Draper who removed the subscription, blocked my number so it can't be subscribed again and refunded the money back to my phone.

She couldn't have been more prompt and helpful.  I don't know whether someone used my number via the website or if it was simply an error, but it has been fully resolved.

i had this happen too - spoken with Lara at Fun telecom who was brilliant

I have been receiving 89069 messages since 2009 but I didn't know I could stop them and I didn't realise they were costing me money until recently.  Orange couldn't help me to sort it out.  I Googled 89069 and read the blogs from others like me.  I rang Wireless Information Network and they contacted Funtelecom and asked them to ring me immediately on my mobile (which they did).  The lady I spoke to looked back over my history and found 17 text messages which had been sent to me and had cost me money.  She said it wasnt a problem to stop any further texts from Funtelecom.  She also arranged a Postal Order to cover the charges for the texts.  So please ring WIM on Tel: 01494 750 500.  Problem solved.

PhonePayPlus are the premium rate phone authority.

They are aware of this number and their site gives full details, including how to complain.

Please can sum1 help me someone did use my phone an went on internet since then ive been gettin messages every month costing me nearly 200 pound a month rang orange they said send stop all to every number i deleted the internet settings off my phone an it stopped until i got a new contract eventually i put the sim card in my old phone as a last resort i have recieved no messages an cant buy anything as i have no internet and my phone has been off yet my bill is 300 pounds worth of tx msgs off these numbers 30 were sent in the space of 15 minutes an videos costing 10 pound which i cant buy an my phone has been off an when turned off i didnt recieve any msgs an these are off numbers i have already sent stop all too im at my wits end i dont kno wat to do or how im goin to pay my bill orange are no help can someone help me

I just got a text from o-w-o.mobi out of the blue and having done a Google search I ended up here.  I have sent STOP ALL and have received a message telling me the service will be stopped within one working day - it had better be.

I've also complained to  Phonepay Plus.

Thanks for the advice, Stu. WIN plc are a big company that handle bulk messaging services for 3rd parties. In the case of 89069 it is an outfit called Fun Telecom. I called WIN and they assured me my daughter's number would be removed from their distribution list and she would no longer receive these so called 'Multimedia Services'. They say they will confirm by text to her handset within 24hrs. As they handle big clients I'm hopeful they won't want their reputation tarnished.

I'm not going to contact Fun Telecom and fight for a refund as I'm sure it will get nowhere and possibly just give them more information. If you want the challenge the number I was given is: 0843 110 2500

I looked a little further down this forum to find out how to stop this service - always nervous about sending a message to one of these things.
I rang Wireless Information Network (Tel: 01494 750 500) and a very polite gentleman sent a stop message and an e-mail to the company behind fun tubes. It took about a minute and a half.

Is it true you used to be a Page 3 Model, i know that lots of people have been recieving these text messages, but a lady with a nice figure that helps me out is well appreciated!

Got my Orange mobile bill yesterday - two items on it from 89069 for £1.50 each.  I remember receiving them but just deleted them as they were unsolicited - wasn't very happy to see I've been charged for them!  Emailed WIN last night and they got back to me this morning saying the texts were from Funtelecom Limited and they had placed a stop on my number and passed my email on to them for a refund. Got two free texts this morning from 89069 to say "thank you for your STOP message" and "You have been removed from our databse. FunTelecom Ltd".

Well done WIN, but I'm seriously annoyed it even happened in the first place. I don't use wap and have never consented to receive crap from FunTelecom. A search shows they're based at 33 Hardy Close, Slough SL1 9AH. Company first registered 4 Nov 2009.

I await my refund....
