Same deal.  Super scam only when I started getting pissed and hangin up the guy kept calling, and calling and calling... I told him enough I am going to call the cops... he called me a son of a bi*ch CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT????  I reported him to rogers, but there wasnt much that they could do cause the number is fake.

Oh and to top it off the dud left a message!!! Tell me that he was going to MAKE me talk to his manager!!! Oh his name was Samuel Richard

Same situation they have called both myself and my husband.  Very very pushy, the first call was a male about two months ago.  Today was a female Sara Da Costa (portuguese last name) heavy indian accent.  Asked for a copy of this ballot to be sent to me. SCAM

I received several calls from this heavily accented male individual.  These calls were very perverse and threatening in nature.  After he quoted my name, I guessed he must have additional info as well. I contacted the police.  After further investigation on my end, I have confirmed that this guys Broadband service provider is Allstream.  You can have your local police dept. call Allstream at 1 888 288 2273 and/or 1 866 883 8618 to get in touch with their security dept. I hope to have this issue resolved by this time next week.

[***] called and answered with a big old "HELLOO" I figured it was some kind of prank, so I answered like it was a security desk =] Guy got real scared thinking he called the police department and hung up.

I got a call too but I didn't answer... however, after reading some of your responses, especially "Really pushy jerk from "Canada Gifting Center", which is a timeshare presentation scam "i.e. congratulations come get your free gift!"." I realized that I got a call from them last year. Some brown dude with a thick, thick, Sri Lankan accent or something called asking for me... which I said she's not here. He went on to ask me for MY (who i told him i was not the person he was looking for) number. I said I only have a cell. He wanted that. When I wouldn't give it to him, he started asking me for my name, where I lived, what I liked, and said he's new to New York (knowing I'm in Canada) and wanted to get to know me and become friends and [***]. I played on and said 'if this was a legitimate phone call, how do you think your employer would like you asking me all these personal questions'. He laughed and said he didn't care, but you could tell he was just [***] around, and as was I. It was fun at first to waste his time, but then I said [***] it. He was fine with saying good bye by then.

I never believe people who call me. If I'm interested (which is rarely ever), I research first. If they are legit, good for them. If not, [***] off.

I have the same issue you guys have.  this idiot calls and I tell them not to call back or i will report them so some so-called "supervisor" calls me back and tells me i abused his authorities and to email him that i dont want the prize.  This is a guaranteeded case of some idiot with a phonebook attempting to commit identity fraud.  someone tell bell about this idiot.

just got a call. same deal as everyone else, canada promotion yadda yadda. hung up and they called back asking me why i hung up. i hung up again, found this site, called the 416 number at the top and had a very threatening conversation with the idiot who actually answered.  i made it very clear that i knew exactly where they were and that i tend to work things out "in person".  the idiot got very apologetic and said he'd take me off the list.

the next time i'm in markham, i might check this place out.

same situation, different number. a guy called "Sean David" called telling us we won 1/5 prizes and to pick it up at the address in woodbridge after a presentation. after researching a bit i found this site, and i declined the offer. the guy on the phone was actually very polite (contrary to the experiences of others). he was reasonable and put no pressure on us to go after telling us we won. when i declined, he said okay and that was it (no harassment). however, I am very curious if anyone has actually gone, and if they received either the cash or TV, because so far it seems like the people who went only got crappy trips. anyone?

I just received a call from a man with a very thick accent who claimed he was Sam something or other, offering me those same prizes. He claimed that their "promotion" was sponsored by Toshiba and by Western Union money transfer. He also claimed taht I had filled out the ballot in December 2007. I have a policy of NEVER filling out ballots so that got my back up immediately. He said that we could show up at the "Ceremony" and that there were no seminars etc and it was "very beautiful". I told him that I wasn't interested and hung up.

An Indian man called and was being abusive to my parents as well.  They hung up on him intially and he called back.  My parents said that they would call the cops and he began to threaten them saying that he's going to see about that.

So interestingly, I just got a call from these clowns...so I politely ask this guy to remove me from the calling list and he refuses...he says "well what if I don't...what are you going to do??...he said he will not get me off the calling list...any suggestions as to course of action?? These guys are pieces of sh#t and need to get a life!!!

I just received a call from about number saying that I had filled out a ballot in December 07 and said I had won one of 5 prizes and that I needed to come to 216 Cresley Road, 2nd floor, Suite 202, Woodbridge, ON which is at Hwy. 7 and Weston to collect my prize.

I told him I wasnt interested and he still insisted on telling me all of his garbage.  He then disconnected the phone when I said I was not interested.

I received a call from this jerk! (905 366-7259)when I asked where he was calling from he hung up.  Then he called me back asking why I hung up.  I told him not to call here again that this is harrassement and he replied what are you going to do about it!  He claimed his name was Steve...obviously a fake name.  He does in fact have a thick accent and was making extremely rude comments. He called 5 times in a row. He needs to be reported to the police!!!
