I have received several calls from this number... why???

I have been getting calls from them for a month now. I answer every time and tell them I'm not interested. Sometimes they hang up but this last time the guy ask me why I was angry. And I told him because they kept calling me. He said well if I don't stop calling will you still be angry. And I'm like wtf just stop calling. What do u know, the next day I get a call again.

I get a call from this computer scrambled number showing up at least once a day.  My wife's identity has been stolen and used to process loans, credit card applications etc.,   I have call blocked all private numbers with my cable company phone service, but this number keeps getting through.  I have one call trace on it at this time, but the second time it came through *57 did not go through as it was a "private number".  I will file the call traces with the local PD, County Cyber Crimes Investigation Unit and State Police Cyber unit.  I have also filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the National Do not call list.  

Criminals Organizations are two steps ahead of many law enforcement agencies, and in most cases the calls are coming in from abroad and little or no action is being taken at this time.  Calls from a business must have the business name and a "REAL" phone number posted on your caller ID.  I have found to shut these people down very quickly is to ask for a phone number to call them back at and an address that I can reach them at...it is usually prompted by a quick hang up.  FYI: A legit business will gladly provide you this information promptly and is required by "Law".

I got the same call just a few min and they said the same thing . I cant believe people are falling form them. don't know how they got my cell number and my address.

I've been getting calls today.  I entered PCH...anyone else? I am just wondering because the calls started right after that.

This is a scam--do not listen, do not participate.  When I refused to give banking information I was relayed to a "supervisor" and then sent back to the orginal person to resubmit information.  I was told not to interrupt the supervisor or ask questions because it would interrupt the recording process.  My gut said it was a hoax--it is.  I google the websites and found everything under construction and all ther verbage was "greeking" with no content.  Hang up and report them right away.

I have been getting calls from this number as well.  It started 3 weeks ago.  Initially, I took the call as they were asking by my correct first name but incorrect last name.  I kept telling them it was the wrong number and they would hang up.  After a couple of days with constant calling, I finally asked what number they were trying to reach and the number they gave was correct. However, still with the correct first name but wrong last name.  I stopped answering their calls after the first 3 days.  They are still calling but it seems to be less frequent.  I am hoping that they will give up since I am not picking up.  My MIL suggested that I buy a blow horn and use it the next they call.  She has used it on unwanted calls before and they never call back again.  I think, I will just to get them off my back.

Keep calling my phone, today at 8am Sac. time. I have no idea who they are I wont answer since I don't do any business with anyone in Cali. They dont leave messages but it's this same number calling me every month or more. Someone must have sold my number out to these creeps. This is why those online "confirmation code to phone" is not something you want to do (such as gmail sign ups or when ordering things). To be fair it could be my college selling me out, the only other people are the phone company or gov. Guess I need a new phone number...again.

Been getting these calls for a few weeks now.  Super annoying - they actaully ask for a Linda Collins and then when I state that no one by the name is here and start to ask that they remove me from their call list - they hang up.  I am noticing that a lot of us have AT&T - link??

I am glad that I looked up this number. I was almost an idiot to give them my number. I also asked the rep to send it to me in the mail and he was like no it  had to be a debit card gift card or banking account number. Thank you again for the info that this is a scam.

Company called talking about I received a check for $7,000 from Washington D.C. for paying my taxes on time. I immediately knew it was a scam because no one would call with such phony information. Oh, and the only way to receive the check was to give my bank account number, which I told them I didn't have and I could hear he imediately was not interested. I told them to mail me the check because I didn't have a bank account number or a debit card. These guys are scams and I don't know how they got my number when I am on the National Do Not Call Registry. The number these people are calling from is 916-234-434-520, they sound Indian which immediately let me know they were a scam. Please be advised do not share any personal information with this guys, and let's try and find a real government agency that can help us shut down this fraud operation. If they do send you a check in the mail "DO NOT CASH IT," just try and contact the FBI or someone. If you cash the check they could easily get your account number and get the money back plus they can take whatever you have in your bank account. Please use caution when talking to these guys.

this indian guy calls me multiple times a day. I finally answered today so he would stop and listened to his scam. When i told him I wasnt stupid enough to give him my bank account he began to harass me saying he would call me every hour of every day just because I didnt want him to. I told him i was recording the conversation on my digital camera to take to the police and he asked if i am going to use the recording and listen to it when i go to the bathroom. i am utterly disgusted and i hope this guy burns in hell.

I have been receiving calls from this number every morning around the same time for about a week. Today, I got a call from them as early as 7am. The first time I answered the phone he mispronounced my name. I immediately knew it was not an official government agency as I have worked for the Census Bureau for years and I understand all the do's and don'ts when identifying myself to someone over the phone. This includes providing a call back number to verify our authenticity and a government website with our information. I asked the man over the phone to remove me from his list. He said, "Wait, do you know who this is?" I said "Yes, now remove me from your list." Then I hung up. Since then I have been getting calls from the same exact male as if he were targeting me. Today he called me and I groggily answered the phone not knowing who it was. He asked for me, mispronouncing my name again and identified himself as working for USA Trust. I told him what time it was in my time. The government never calls this early since it's illegal and impolite. Secondly, please remove me from your list. He said exactly this: " NO. NO I won't. I will call you at a different time" I got angry and said "Let's talk now. What do you want man?" He then said no again and that he would call at a different time." Then he hung up on me as I demanded to be removed from his list. Now that I have looked up more information on these people and have found some great ideas to mess with them, I'll make sure they won't want to call me back.
