I got a call from an Indian woman from this number claiming that my name and phone number had been randomly selected by the government for a $7,000 grant because I filed for bankruptcy. I responded, "I haven't filed for bankruptcy. She responded, "are you sure?" to which I said, "positive." She abruptly hung up the phone. An obvious scam.

they keep calling me and saying the same thing, plus i get call from a 3 digit number also.

I'm recieving calls from this number everyday. They are telling me that I'm to recieve a $7000 US government grant and that I had to take it or go to jail for 6 months. Of course, he needs my bank account number to send the money. Fat chance on that.

I received a call from this number. They already had most of my information, a bit scary, but not all that surprising in this day of technology...the amount of the "government grant" was also $7000, only to be used for "good" purposes, such as education, home improvement, paying medical bills, purchase of a car" and could not use for illegal purposes, gambling, drugs, alcohol, etc ...they gave me a call-back number of 202-609-7027, which was quoted as a government confirmation number and the name of the "Officer" was (?SP) Rachid Ochad...a transfer would be made from the Federal Bank of New York, and the Officer's name was Wayne Bruce & gave me a confirmation number to repeat when I called. When calling the number, there was no answer. Then the number called me back, saying they missed a call from me. After "confirming' the grant, they said there would be a one time processing fee of $120, that all the grant recipients who had applied for these grants had already paid. When I told him I did not have $120, he said "that's ok, you can reject the offer." I said "ok, I reject the offer" & hung up.
Hmmmm, Wayne Bruce...sounds like a backwards Batman...too bad we don't have money handed out to us on a regular basis! Oh, we need to work for money...that's right! (Sorry for the sarcasm)

Someone just called my cell phone from that same number.  I did not answer it, as there were too many numbers and I did not recognize where the call was coming from.  No message was left for me on voicemail.  This is not the first time I have received such a call.

I just got a call from this number telling me the same thing that he is calling from Washington D.C government, that I am qualified for a 7,000 grant, and I can use this money for anything....he even say gambling, and he ask me what would i use the money for. I ask him what would I need to do, He say I would need to give him all my account or card number.

Calls multiple times per day. Hangs up when I answer. Can't add it to my blocked call list because the phone number is longer than 10 digits.

I have this @$$ indian man calling me every single day. I have Sprint, so it's nothing to do with at&t only. How do you stop this? It's soooo irritating!!!

This guy called (of course with an Indian accent) first thing he asked me how old I was and if I was married. Then tells me I need to marry him and move to California which sounded hysterical. He has 17,000,000.00 dollars and I can come live in his home with him. He asks me if I have any daughters, he says I want your daughters too. I say I'm never getting married again. He says, choose a date I will come pick you up. I said you know where I am he says yes! I said do you know my address, He gave me my address.........Now what? I'm scared. I have read all of these comments and this is the first one that this has happened???

i can assure you there is nothing to worry about FOR NOW i have been tailing these people. they all claim to be from the california... there are several other numbers to look out  for like 1-949-204-0993, +052695989,  
+916234434520, .... 949 i actual area code for cali... but they are using a magic jack contract to set what ever number they want to so up. This is more than just a spam because rather or not if you fall for there [***].. i think there main cause is finding out for information to plain something bigger on our own soil.. people need to wake up... they say the world is coming to an end but in reality ONLY IN THE WORLD AS YOU KNOW IT TODAY... ever day honest working Americans are losing more and more of there honest rights. For instants, instead hiring some from the U.S.A to work for a company..... that company (not say any names) would rather hire someone from another country because of lower wages.. not say that it shouldn't happen at all but just not as often thats why our unemployment rate is so high... come on already... im not a racist person or anything there has been alot of people from other CULTURES that i get along with, and there are others i worry about... its sad to say but the AMERICAN PEOPLE AS A WHOLE is being DESTROYED... there might only be a few people that read this posting and thats what i mean as a WHOLE        unfortunately there are not enough FBI  argent's to ADDRESS this issue and will not happen until Obama is out office.... lets be honest here only reason why he won is because anyone who voted for him... voted for him because he was black NOT because they knew anything about.. which i know plenty and that few blacks that didnt  vote for him knew what he was about.think about it Obama is not even African American.i rather vote a rapper which is African american .......and one more thing all those wonderful speeches he have was to help him win the election.... duh look at the now what has really changed....

I got called from this indian guy who said he was calling from new jersey. I love how they think im stupid. The number is not a US based number. Do not answer it. They are scamming people out of money.

A guy with an India-accent is calling me trying to get money from a +916234434520 and then calls unknown. He tried the grant thing on me and then the online payday scam telling me that I would be locked up and he will be sure of that.

I got a call from this Indian man, I thought I was the only person. Please someone, track this man down and stop him from stealing from Americans.
I was this close to give out my account, then I asked him to mail it to me. Thank God for being the speaking one in me.

I got the phone calls from Indian number: +91-62-34434520 - those idiots were speaking English about some gyu Matt. It is kinda annoying cause the very same [***] calling me within a week already. I like Indian hardworking people but not terrorists. I wish they get nailed with their stupid activity.

I got a call from this woman and i asked if it was a scam and she claimed no, then i said i was going to report her to the po,ice if she didnt tell me what was going on and she said this is not bulls*** you son of a b****

I got a call from this number and when I asked who was calling he said that I called him. When I continued to ask he said I was coming down from cocaine!! Then he proceded to tell me that his name was my last name. Not 2 minutes later the same person called from 203-455-5377. This is a scam and needs to be stopped!!!!

I got the phone call this morning telling the same [***] story like many people here are telling. I gave them wrong information, they didn't point out I was wrong. According to her own words, she was confirming me the information! She hung up finally when I told her to mail the grant.

I also got a call from them. they said the same stuff and i told him not to call and he said he is going to HURT ME AND [***] ME!! THIS IS SCARY! SOMEONE NEEDS TO PUT AN END TO IT!
