first this people call me saying they worked for washington grants department at 200 independence ave sw washington dc, 20201 building hhh, from a phone number consisitng of all 9's (999-999-9999). don't be fooled the adress is real the caller is not. they told me I had to sed $200.00 by western union first before they could send me this so call $7000 grant I won, the second red flag flew up then. the government do not call you about grants u must always apply first. I told them I would call them back the next day, i did my research and best believe its a scam. they call me the next day but i didnt' ansewer this took place september 1st, today sept. 7th i recieved a phone call from this number 916234434520 calling about the same thing, as soon as i told her they had called me before she hung up in my face.

I have been called 4 times by this number and they say they are calling from the US Government and are going to issue my a $7000 grant that I do not have to pay back and will not be taxed.  After asking them where the money is coming from due to our national debt the person calling hung up.  The woman talking sounded like she had a southern accent.

I got a call from this # and 20 other numbers that don't make any sense and keep getting them over and over again! I would appriciate it if you or someone could find out where they are coming from who is calling me and also stop the phone calls!

I just got a call 4:32PM CST on my cell phone from +91 6234-434520 with a nice girl (somewhat Asian accent?) who said I had been selected to receive a grant for $7000 from the US government that I wouldn't have to pay back. At this point I was rather suspicious. I asked her what the grant was for, and she rattled off a couple things like because I was a good citizen, had not criminal record, etc... and this is where I figured it was definitely a scam, so I asked her nicely what company she was with, and she hung up.

These jack legs have been calling me too. I've talked to several law enforcement groups, including the FBI and homeland security, but the long short of it is they can't do anything about it. These people aren't within their reach so the only thing they can do is shut the number down if they can get enough evidence of wrong doing before the scammers change it anyway. But all they do, and have done is get a new number and start all over... Sux, but that's the way it is.

Do not give any  Personal information to these clowns.  They sometimes say they are going to charge you with 3 banking crimes or what ever, They all get United States phone numbers but they are calling from India or Pakistan.  They are Scamers.  If you give your information to them beware

how are these people able to keep calling me when I am on the national "do not call" registry?!!! And it's a number you can't call back so what's the deal? DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS OR CHECKING ACCOUNT INFORMATION. Even after telling them I know they are a scam they continue to call.

I got a call from this number telling me I was qualified for a free government grant. They wanted my bank account number so they will be able to transfer the funds.  The caller ID on my cell phone said the call was from India.

Just had my number changed and right away I get a call from this number.  It's an Indian guy and he asks for Roger.  I tell him he has the wrong number.  He said I know it's you Roger.  I said no it's not Roger.  Stop calling.  He said okay Roger.  Two days later he calls again asking for Roger.  I said please stop calling.  You have the wrong number.  He said okay Roger.  Talk to you later.  What an idiot.

they won't stop calling me. it's getting really annoying, that there is nothing that can be done about it, because they are in india. I just want them to stop calling. it's been two days and 5 calls later and it's rediculous. No government agency will ever ask for any personal information, and any time I was ever contacted in the past by actual government agencies they sent a letter telling me it was happening, and shortly after.... a check.

received a call from this number and the caller said he was from the united states government. I asked his name and he hung up.

Sept 15th and based on the comments already posted they are still at it. I was called this evening stating I had qualified for a $7000 grant for which I did not have to repay at any time. They just needed my bank account to transfer it into.BINGO...WARNING...anytime anyone asks for my bank account number or credit card over the phone, warning signs go off, red flags start waving. I asked him to send me a debit card but he wasn't willing to do that...LOL.
The fellow I spoke with had a french accent - was very pushy about wanting a credit card number or my bank account number, wasn't willing to send me a check or debit card. I asked for his supervisor's name so I could make sure the offer was legit. He gave me the name Kenny Hoffman at 202-407-7177. I haven't called it as I thought first to check online to see what the caller ID's number showed. I wonder if it was a real name and number or fake....if it is a real person, it's someone to have researched.

From 09.14.2011 I keep getting calls from this number. When I answer the person hangs up. Next time they call I am going to tell them some Jamaica expletives!

Keeps calling and won't stop, does not lv msg although I do not answer

These idiots have been calling me for over a week now. Just hang up on them. Hopefully something will be done soon. Don't know if calling the phone company I get my Cell service from would do any good. Either that or I use my whistle or air horn and blow out their ear drums!!! It's a thought.

Stil at it...I was told I qualified for a $7000 grant fro mthe Federal government because I didn't have a criminal record and haven't filed bankruptcy in the past 5 years.  I told him I was at work and that I doubted the phone call was real.  The Government would not be calling you for a grant. They would send you something in the mail.  If they call agian I'm gonna answer the phone with a blow horn!

Got a call from this number today and just as Larry stated, the caller informed that I qualified for 7k grant from the government. East Indian accent and tried to verify my marital status and address on file, when I asked what my marital status had to do with this call he hung up. Don't fall for this crock of sh&&  just hang up.

I don't have a smart phone. I have been getting these calls on my cell and it's really ticking me off. Verizon says there is no way to block these 12 digit numbers. I don't know how to stop these calls. Any suggestions?
