This jerk Ronnie Cooper has called me several times, the first couple were from an unknown number and when I did answer it was an indian man that would say very obscene things to me. This scam is crazy....

I received many calls from this number not only to my cell phone but also to my work telling me that I have criminal charges against me and that they can help take care of it for me. Funny thing is that I am a paralegal and they claim that is what they are. They had no answer to why they called when I asked them since calling is out of the scope of their duty to do so. They also spoke to my boss who is an attorney and tried to convince him that he also had charges against him as well. I will be following up on this and if I have to I will be getting the owner of the law firm I work for involved since the base of the firm is in California.

I keep receiving threatening messages from the caller.  This is harrassment!! Someone needs to do something about this?

I received the same call this morning. And he was telling me I took out a payday loan that I never did and cops were going to come to my place of work and arrest me. So I said I need to talk to my chief (military) my chief got on the phone he was rude to him and then hung up. So I googled the number and figured out it was a scam. I was so relieved.

Indian scamer

I got a call from this number little while ago he claimed to be an attorney by the name of Frank Martin, and he told me that there was some pending case against my name and social security number. He told me to call and ask for Mr Ronnie Cooper that he would have the details. Before I do this,I looked up the number on Google and found all of these coments from: people encountering the same problem. I think this has something to do with a company that identifies itself as Cash Advance America through which I was trying to get a payday loan. I did not return the call to Mr Cooper because I did not want to further waste my time.

They call to say that I owed a loan from CashAdvance and that I was going to be arrested tomorrow at my job. Never dealt with CashAdvance so I know they were on something. They guy ask me explain myself for this matter, after I told him that I never had a pay day loan with this company, he hung up. He had an Indian Accent.

I got calls from this guy past two days similar to everyone else here in this discussion thread. With IP-based phone easily obtainable, this guy is probably calling from out of country but with a U.S. phone number. That is why he is not afraid of making threats and trying to scam us.

The person that called me from this number said that he was the lawyer for Advance America and that I had taken out a loan from his company and they tried taking the payment out of my account it was declined.  This person has an accent that sounds like he is from India or other countries with that accent.  He talked so fast that it was hard to understand him.  I think the last name was Watson.  He said that I took out a $500 loan and that he is going to stop my payments from Social Security unless I fix it immediately.  If I didn't take care of it while he was on the phone with me that he was contacting the FBI and I will be arrested on Monday.  I told him that I needed to think about it and I would call him back.  I checked my bank account and I can't find a payday loan from this company nor did I find where the payment didn't go through.  I called back and no answer, two hours later I called and someone answered but say the company name or his name.  I told him who I was and he seemed angry and wanted to know why I was calling him.  I explained that he had called me and threatened me earlier and I needed more information and he replied that  he was too busy and hung up on me.

received a call from a Frank from 916-287-3815 reference him putting me in jail something about a law suite pending against me in California as i was talking to him I ask him to send me the information in writting so I could take it to my attorney he started calling me foul names on te phone as I returned the favor he hung up on me I kept  calling him back to finish the job but he keep hanging up me.  When is somebody going to do something about this?

I got a call from 916-287-3815 this morning.  Not sure what the guy's name was that answered as he spoke with a heavy middle eastern accent.  He stated that I needed to send him 1,000 by the end of the day or he would post my personal information on the internet.  He than provided me with my own address, social security number, drivers license number, and employer.   If he was forced to publish this information, he would than want 2500 to get me off his "hit list".  Yes, he said that a few times a year, his group travels the country finding the people that did not comply.  He than went on about being a member of the Taliban.  He said he was from Afganhistan and that he trained under Osama Bin Laden himself.  He also spoke in great detail about the Trade Center and the recent bombings in Boston.  He seemed very proud to be a member of these cowards.  He also stated the company he works for funds terrorists worldwide.  I would have to become an unwilling partner of the Taliban - if I wanted to live.  The next bombings he said would be 12/31/2013 - and many people will die.  I gave this information to the Better Business Bureau in California.  Within 20 minutes they called me - Mrs Taylor that because of the terrorism implications, I should contact the FBI.  I than realized I had all the phone calls recorded on my computer as I am currently going through a very difficult divorce.   What luck!!  I contacted the FBI and Homeland Security.  I provided them with details of the phone calls; however, I did not have to say much as the recordings spoke for themselves.  I hope they nail this idiot to the wall......or at least deport him.  I think he is probably just a punk trying to ride the Taliban coat tails as I would think a real terrorist would not boast about it.  Wow!  The FBI is on the phone.....that didn't take long.  It appears they are taking the threats much more serious than I am.  Good bye Habeeb or whatever your name is.

He call about five times talking bout he need to hear from my lawyer about something I really could hear him that we'll he had an Indian voice so it was hard to here him pleases get his [***] for trying to scam me i work hard for the little bit of money I do have and for somebody to try to scam me makes me mad [***] hell

Today my boss informed me I had a message from a Michael Davis at this phone number. When I called back a joe anderson answered saying he was with the state attorneys office and that I had 3 charges against me for check fraud and other charges related to an unpaid loan to cash advantage America. When I asked for a local office I could come speak to a person I was told there was no local office available and that if I didn't pay immediately I would be arrested in the next 2 hours at my place of employment. He then told me it could only be paid in cash and refused to answer my questions regarding the charges. Unlucky for him I work for a 911 dispatch center and I am reporting them to the authorities for harassing a 911 center and impersonating a government agency. Luckily all conversations at my work are recorded.

once again this number is starting to call me again. no message or anything. repeatedly calling through out the day.

This number keeps calling me. I am afraid they are also calling other family members. They keep calling and leaving me threatening voicemails.

I received the same messages as him. If you hang up on him and call him back he's a lot less aggressive. What an [***] clown. I'm going to keep a close eye on my bank account.  Wouldn't it be fun if everyone called him from different phone numbers.

I received a call from this number 9162873815 and I was still sleeping so didn't answer.  When I woke up I had a message to call this number and talk to Mr Watson that it was very important that I call him back immediately.  Then he said all I can say to you is good luck.  I called him back and he said there was an arrest warrant out for me. I asked why, he said that I had a payday loan from Cash Advance America and that they want their money immediately and I should tell him my bank information it was taken care of and they wouldn't send police to my work.  I told him that I have never taken a loan out for them ever, he said oh yes you did.  The amount was $500 but now there would fees and court costs, attorney fees for his client.  I said I am not giving you anything and hung up on him.

I received a call from 18185720418, the person on the other end had a thick middle eastern accent, India, Pakistan.  He told me that I had a loan at Cashnet USA and I have not paid them any money.  He needed to let me know that there is an arrest warrant out for me and he thinks I am probably a very nice person that just forgot to pay.  He would be glad to help me settle this debt right now.  I said I haven't taken out any loans and I needed to due some checking on my part and I would get back to him.  I waited a few minutes and called him back and I said I do not have a loan with this company so I needed more information from him as to when I took the loan out and who did I talk to, the account number and so on.  He became very angry and said he was, was didn't have time to talk to me and hung up. This is another one 2127773456, guys name was Derrick Anderson and this loan was for Advance Payday Plus for $498 with same as the others.  I told him that I was really busy and could I have a number to call the company to check this matter out and he gave me this number 6465359316.  Chris Miller called me next from Payday America I hung up on him.  A few minutes later I get a call from 2295184222 and I had a loan from Advance Cash America and the amount I borrowed was $989.73.  He was from ASC Legal Group and he was the attorney for this company and so of course with all the fees and all I now owed $4989.   And if I didn't take care of it in the 24 hours there would be more charges added.  I was to buy a prepaid debit card and send the information from it to eddie.spivey@asclegalgroup.com.  These calls were on Saturday and Sunday.

This is the last one that I received on Monday night.  Number 1-305-728-8667.  He told me that he was from the United States Federal Crime Bureau and that he was Sgt. James White.  Again same middle eastern accent for thick and fast.  He said the FBI had a warrant for arrest and I asked why he replied that I took out a loan from Money Cash Advance and that they want their money.  I asked where he was located and he told me.  I asked when did I take out this loan and he mumbled and the only I got out of that was 2012 for $500.  I said I don't take out any payday loans in 2012, He said that I did it and it was done on the internet.  I just kept asking questions and he was getting more and more irritated so he said I see you don't want to take this matter and I said no I didn't take out a loan from that company that I hadn't even heard of the company.  He starts yelling that he is going to call the local authorities and me arrested immediately.  I said ok and when that officer arrives at my home he better have proof of when and how I did this loan with him.  I am calling I mean it he screamed and I said fine.  He is really pissed cause I said that I was calling the police when I hang up to file fraud against him and he yelled that he was coming to kill me.  Guess what when he yelled at me he didn't have an accent.  Go figure.

I keep receiving calls from a different number each time or nothing at all.  When I call back either no one answers or it clicks then hangs up. I've been working with my phone carrier to block these calls. I also put a fraud alert on my credit and filed s police report. The police officer indicates this will be forwarded to the FBI, I encourage everyone to file a report. They can't kept hiding behind phone numbers. This all started on May 10th with a call that would be arrested.  Here are the phone numbers I received calls from:
