Scam.  Amazon does not call customers.  They email.  Do not call this number back.

Placed an order for some athletic gear. Around $180 in total. Got a call from this number within minutes. Some indian dude claiming that I had to verify my order. He knew exactly what my order was and the last four digits of the card I used. Some serious [***] going on in amazon right now. Internal information is being leaked by whoever the info is being transferred to.

Got a call from this number as well. Asked for me clearly by name and then I could not understand anything said except the last two numbers of my debit card. Later that day a charge appeared on my Amazon account.

I made an Amazon purchase, and a few minutes later, I received a similar phone call as stated in previous entries. The caller ID said "Bangalore, Karnataka". A male with an Indian accent left a voice message asking to confirm my authorization number and quoted the amount of my purchase (but the quoted amount was prior to a credit I applied, so my purchase amount was actually lower, which made me suspect ). He did not leave his name nor a call back number. As a precaution, I've changed my Amazon password and will be monitoring my credit cards.

I got a call about my mother's credit card information - they kind of mumbled and talked quietly, and it sounded busy in the room the caller was in. I didn't listen long, and didn't catch much of what they said.

I got a call from this number asking to confirm my billing address. I did...so stupid. Of course no record from Amazon thought they did confirm everything I ordered went through. Also called my bank and they told me to keep an eye out for my account. Can anybody tell me what might be the consequences of this?

Lost my wallet and then received a call from these people to verify two orders. I never made the orders. They didn't ask personal info they just wanted to know if I ordered those items. I said no that my wallet was missing they said they would stop the items the end.

Called Amazon no one knew of this company. No attempted purchases on my account. I sounded crazy. Well good to know I'm not the only one.

Exact same Call, number and query

Either Amazon has been hacked or we've all been hacked - for the scammers to somehow get the last 4 digits of a valid credit card, the full name and the phone number, they must be good. Pretty scary how they know so much. Called my credit card and lots of fraudulent charges were made. Cancelled card.

Who is this number

Called me 4 times back to back.  Left me a message saying she was from Amazon investigation fraud department in regards to me using my MasterCard, thank you.  No callback number or other information.  Woman had a thick Indian accent and sounded like she was calling from a bazaar or wedding... lots of music and noise in the background.

Received call from 918066055000, woman with accent, from India asks for my daughter by name, says she is with Amazon fraud bureau, about a foreign transaction for a book, I said my dtr can use my account but doubted she ordered any book, however, I ordered a book today for a friend. I said what book is it?  She replied not allowed to give out that information....what book did u order? I then said, how do I even know you are from Amazon?  I then gave her the name of the book I ordered, figuring no big deal.  She then said something about John Beck, and that there was no foreign transaction and I said no and hung up. I called Amazon immediately and they said both dtrs and my account was fine, and send dtr an email to change her password immediately.

This is a scammer call from India. Do not press any keys and do not give any information

Didn't pick it up because I was sleeping. I got calls from +0195852102, +91 80-66055000 and +1 918066055000 alternatively for 10 minutes... Very funny

I am disclosing the details of one of the scammers from delhi.he simply takes money by cash or account deposit to provide you the telecalling data and will not ever give you the data. He just took the money face to face and never gave the receipt or his company name.

I paid him Rs 5000 and he never provided me the data for the record I have all the proof with me.
I have all the call recordings , wats app and sms requesting him my money for months.
No refund yet.

Indian called about a fraudulent order placed with Amazon.  Cancelled order right away and changed password.

Caller said they were from Amazon, asked me to verify a $998 order on Amazon from a credit card ending in -XXXX (info was correct). I felt it was a scam and hung up. They also called from a phone number in Washington State.

Placed an order yesterday for a few gaming items.  My orders are pending on Amazon.   I received a call this morning from this number but didn't answer.  When I checked my missed call message it stated that the call was "SCAM".
How did this number get my phone number considering I have just recently got a new number and new phone?  Is Amazon secure enough?  How did my details get out?

Yep just purchased an expemsive watch on amazon and minutes later there is the call from somewhere in the bowels of the jungels of India, it was probably Kalu the bear from jungle book wanting to know if I ordered some honey just now on Amazon?
