Report a phone call from 929-200-9110 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Vancouver GrannyThe recorded message I got was that they were calling me about my credit account, implying they were holders of my credit cards. I assume it is a scam to try to get your credit card information. I find this kind of call not only intrustive, but also downright scary. How many people actually give this company their confidential credit card information?
- LauraI have been getting a number of these calls with untraceable numbers. I tried to report it to the RCMP through this link but their website is so screwed up that you can't get to the complaints section. I don't have the time to fool with this so have given up. If anyone figures out a way to stop these clowns, let us know. The number was 929-200-9110.
- Mr BThis is a company who is flying in the face of the law. You should register a complaint with your federal agency each time they call you. The Canadian agency is 1-866-580-3625. This company is known, and is being sought on an international scale. Keep reporting them and they will soon be subdued and charged.
- Caller: same (no text ident)
- MR BI am seeing a lot of fellow Canadians on here. You MUST take the time to register on the Do Not Call List to make sure your complaint holds weight. So go to http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/telemarketing.htm and sign up if you have not done so already. Then use the toll free number I've listed above to keep complaining. They're great people there and they want you to call each and every time this happens. If you're not Canadian, look up your country's Do Not Call List Registry and follow the same procedure.
If we dont fight back, then bottom feeders like these guys will only keep it up, or worse, get bolder and call you more often. - mioIgnore Ignore Ignore!
- JBThis number calls every single day (I don't answer). Telus (BC) will not allow the number to be blocked through my paid-for call-blocking service because it may be a "multi-party number". I am also on the "do not call" list, which is turning out to be a joke.
- JBAnd thanks to MR B for the link. I have also registered a complaint.
- Petawawa Ontariothey called 9:52am January 5th 2010
SICK of these calls - they call over & over until you answer
when i press 1 to speak to the 'rep' some chick named Christie just hung up when i asked to be placed on the Do Not Call list.....
basically there is no way to stop these scams - they spread like VD - RussellMy wife pressed the # to get through to a rep, and got someone representing himself as "Leonard from Account Services." She asked a couple of times to confirm what company he was from, and he was rude and adamant that he had already told her that he was from "Account Services." When she commented that she just wanted to be sure, 'cause that didn't sound like a company name, he got extremely rude, accused her of being "stupid," "f***ing stupid," and "stupid b****," and when he got tired of this, hung up on her. Clearly he didn't actually want to sell her anything.... Note that the # can't be called back.
- Caller: "Leonard from Account Services"
- BCBudThis number looked pretty strange on my Caller ID. there was a line of numbers (the phone number with no spaces)then it came up with the number (an "L" in front told me it was long distence...) below that. I did not answer it. I googled the number, came here, then I just put in the 929 area code which is from Pakistan. When I put in just the area code, a number of websites told me this number is a credit card scam... Beware!
- funnyi asked them who they represent and they hung up on me
- chrisThis is BS i have pressed 2 about 20 times they still call 4 times a day i am signed up on DNCL i have spoke to a agent and he took me off the list 3 times now i press 1 and ask for their supervisor and they hang up on me every time they call me all hours of day i am sick and tired of this. Sure everyone says don;t answer but to have a phone ring 10 times then in a hour again and so on i have threatened them with the better business beru and they laught at me and hang up. I am not sure what company they work for they will not reveal that. By the time the 4th call has come in i am pretty pissed
- gswho is this.....many many calls
- DarrenYup - they have been calling me for months - i have been on the Canadian DoNotCall list for months - today i filed a complaint online and then found this list people who are as annoyed as me with this. When they call again I will file another complaint with the CRTC and direct them to this web page.
- Just a guyIt's a credit card phishing scam. They're trying to get your credit card info. Just hang up, or ignore it.
- Caller: Unknown
- Just a guyAlso, I am not a paid rep, but there is a good device for blocking calls like this, do a Google search for "Call Blocking", and a handy device that can be purchased that forces unknown callers to enter a PIN (or Numerical password) to make the phone in your house ring.
I too am sick of these calls and have just ordered one. It might be a little rough getting friends set up, but apparently you can enter a list of "safe". numbers that will by-pass the call blocking.
Just a thought. - ghI had a call from them before and after checking around found out it was Sears.
- 929-200-9110It's time our goverment takes a look at the CRTC! Have you ever visited their web site? I did and I left it bewildered. don't recall seeing what their agenda is, only lots of things they not responsible for, and the feeling that they are there to cater to big business.
- dvspapaIf you feel playful, press 1 and string them along - at least they get dinged for the long-distance charges.
If you tell them you have no credit card debt, they hang up on you :)
Despite the "This is the last time....." line, it ain't never the last time. - PaulHThese crooks called me this morning, but I was out and they didn't leave a message.
