I received a call from nancy jo this morning advising me of the same. however she has already been beaten because I was receiving calls from a bruce harvey and michael anderson from phone numbers 310-362-4312 as well as 11028551013. I advised ms jo that I was aware of their scam and have already reported them to the police in the state of california, virginia, the federal trade commisioner as well as pac-west who is their phone company.  I hadn't received call from them in almost two weeks until today.  Looks like I'm gonna have to start all over.  For those who don't know they are not people in the states. they are overseas and they are trying to get access to our accounts. here are a couple of things I did in addition to all the reports.  when they would call I would say Hello verify it was me and then hangup immediately.  my guy kept calling for over 20 times before I finally answered laughing stating that this was fun and if he could just stay on the line since the nice police officer I was standing in front of wanted to talk to him.  With mr anderson I stood in front of my car and pressed the panic button on my alarm straight into the phone.  I just hope ms jo learns her lesson before she calls again :)

I keep getting nasty phone calls from this guy as well with the same messages he seems to have left for everyone.  Please do something about this scam.  He has left a call back number of 310 362 9837.

I just recived two calls from a woman and a man that COULD not speack english if they tried... keep telling me that My Husband was going t be arrested friday morning unless we pay this amount back... I keep asking WHAT the hell they was saying and if they couldnt speak english clear enough for me to understand then dont call my house again and arrest my husband please I would sue whom ever faster than they could say AMERICA.. I knew it was a SCAM when the guy told me he didnt have CASH NET's phone number and that he was talking to me about my husband money handling issues.... I guess these people should know that its illegale for ANYONE to speak for the other person.. WHO do I have to call to report this to my local police?

I received a call at work from "Jennifer" whom I could barely understand, she had a thick middle eastern accent.  She said that I had an important legal matter to be taken care of, and it would be sent to her tomorrw, then acted upon by my local sheriff's dept "the next day, Friday"...well, that would be Saturday, for one thing.  LOL  I told her I was at work and couldn't talk, and asked if I could call her back.  The call back number given, was 910-362-9386.  I googled it before I left work, and saw several comments like on this blog, about a scam for taking out a loan with Cash Net in May, 2008, and not paying it back.  So, I called the callback number when I left work from my cell, and a man answered that it was some law firm, and there was so much background noise I could not hear him.  He wanted to call me right back on my number, and I told him no, that I had unlimited minutes to go ahead.  He listed off about 3 felony charges and really kind of scared me.  He wanted my lawyers info.  I told him I wanted to understand what he was saying first, that I did not know what he was talking about.  He said "Have you not been briefed on this case?" I said no, and he said he would brief me, which consisted of repeating the charges.  He had my bank name correct.  I asked him when this was supposed to have happened, and he said May 2008.  I told him that was not true, and he acted shocked.  He said it was true, and listed off my home address and employer to try to get me to verify with him.  I told him that I was concerned, because I had seen online where his phone number had been associated with a scam trying to collect loans from cashnet in May, 2008, that never happened and that I needed to check my bank records and call him back, he hung up on me.  I checked my cell, and I had gotten a call from 941-961-8518, and the voice mail was from the same Jennifer that gave me the call back number of 310-362-9386.

I have applied for a payday loan before, but, I use and online bank, and because the cannot set my account up for automatic debit (I have to do that myself), no company that does payday loans can approve a loan for me.

Even though I knew I did not have a loan, it is still scary for these criminals to have this much information on me.

Foreigners who speak hardly any English are calling me from this number on my cell and at work.  They are a pain in the "you know where"

I have recieved 35 phone calls from this number as well as 860.414.4046 asking me if the last 4 to my ss# were xyz.  I said no and to stop calling my house.  They continued to call.  I called my local police department and they said that it could be scam going on.  I am in the mydst of changing my phone number.  There is nothing you can do to stop these guys.

I keep getting a phone call from a Jennifer with a call back number of 310-362-9386 and also another phone call with a number of 941-961-8518.  I checked my bank statements and everything and never received any monies from CASH NET and its starting to piss me off because they are calling my job and they have my sister and cousins name.  What can we do to stop this, this is such BS!!!! They said that I applied for this loan on May 8th, 2008 and the account info is right but I never even applied for a loan with them.  Somebody should really do something about this!!

Been getting calls from a male and a female from this number 941-961-8518.  Just called it back and got a message from Verizon Wireless that it has changed or is no longer in service.  How can this be?

I got the same call at work and on my cell # 3 on Cell and 4 at work same thing everyone else is saying he called me back at work and I answered the last time he called Sheriff's Department and he ask for me and again I said Sheriff's department this call is being traced and he hung up on me, [***]!!!

Jordon King was supposibly his name and there is also a Brian (Brian is an American name not a name from Mars so obviously it's a fake name) and he called my work and cell phone said he needs my autorrney info b/c someone is suing me or something like that and he also left a voice mail on my cell saying that if I don't call him right back that he wishes me good luck solving the case. He warned me that I have a case the next day at 10am. Also, he uses dramatic tone of voice and he is very unprofessional. THIS IS A SCAM!!! The scarry thing is that he had the correct information: Social Security number, email and full name and last name. I reported a freud alert to the credit companies. He keeps calling too over and over.

caller called me with a thick accent and told me that he was from law firm... so i hung up on him. he called my cell back and called my job number with the same thing. he called me back today and told me that someone was coming to arrest me tomorrow and i will have to pay back the money then. he got up set because i asked him what state he was from and how was he going to see me in court if he is in another state away from me... he got up set and started yelling at me.... i also asked him for he direct line so my lawyer could call him and the number he gave was disconneted. total scam....

See my comments on number 561-749-3966.  They also call under 'Unknown' b/c they've left messages for me when the 'unknown' call comes in and 'unknown' has called me TWENTY-ONE TIMES since May 7, 2009!!!!!

This [***] called me this morning on my cell phone and did not leave a message then he called me at work and said he was from an attorneys office. I called him a [***] and a [***] and told him not to call me anymore!

First, the number is not 941-961-8518!  It is +94-19618518 it is from Sri Lanka.  I have an iPhone that they call on and one of the wonderful things about the iPhone is that it has a super caller id feature!  So whoever actually has the number 941-961-8518 in florida probably changed their number or disconnected it for good reason!

Aside from that, I to got the phone call from this number just today.  I didnt answer it as i was driving.  But the moron who left a messages sounds like a real jerkjob.  Im going to ignore it and hope they take the hint.  If not, well I will just tease and taunt them.  What I fail to understand is that I just my phone for business as well as personal. So my voicemail greeting clearly states my full name.  A MALE name, the person they are looking for is FEMALE and her name sounds nothing like mine.  Oh well, price you pay for technology i suppose.

They called my son's father's place of employment. Well it wasn't even his place of employment. It was where he gets his supplies from. Then they called the house and said that they were taking him to court if he didn't pay for a pay day loan. He never recieved a payday loan ever. They were very very rude. I contacted the BBB and they told me to keep a record of everytime they called.

Keep getting the same calls from thick accented person who's name is Eric Jones.  What a joke.  When you call the number it's not a working number. Plus my caller ID shows it as an international number.  They also use a 585 area codes that's disconnected.  What a scam.  Leave me messages stating that they are a law firm but leave no firm name and that I need to contact them immediately.  It's a total scam.  I'm totalling ignoring these jerks.  At the end of their message this person says God Bless You and help you.  These people need to be stopped.

A call came through from this number. VERY thick accented woman saying her name was Jennifer (like I believe that). Asked me to verify my identity. I told her that I'm not saying anything until she tells me who she is and where she is calling from. Caller said her name was Jennifer (no surname) and said she was not authorised to tell me her location. I said that I will not speak unless she identifies herself and hung up on her.

She called me back 15 minutes later and said she was from Cashnet. I asked what she was calling about and said that I had taken out a cash loan of $2000 in March 2008 and I was required to pay back the full amount there and then or I would be arrested and sent to jail. I do not recall taking out a cash loan in my entire life so this person was obviously scamming me. To be honest, It's a good job I'm used to foreign accents otherwise there is no way I would have been able to understand this woman when she was talking.

I told her that I was not Tara, even though I am. She asked if I was sure and I told her that I think I would be sure of my own name. She asked if I knew Tara and I said no and did not want her to call me again. She asked me for my details but I did not give them to her. She asked if I banked with ********. Even though I do, I denied all knowledge and said I did not have a bank account. Caller seemed very confused by all of this and said she would 'investigate'. She was about to end the call so I interrupted and said that I wished to be removed from the call list. She claimed that I 'had no authority to make that kind of request' and said she would keep calling every day. I told her that I will get my attorney on the phone next time she calls and she said alright before hanging up.

They have called back once but I did not answer and no message was left. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with this

This called me and i called there number in california and promised kill all of them don't mess with acountry boy i will find them.

they wanted my info like my bank account, address and stuff like that I ask if this was a scam and she hung up on me.

I got a call from the same number but they want me to cal 415 200 2063. Threatening if I dont handle this things will get bad and good luck. Very heavy accent and static filled background. Good thing I always check on this site before I do anything.
