i too received the calls with threatening messages...and when i called them on it and told them i was contacting sheriff, BBB, and the attorney general, they got very vulgar and rude, but also scared.  
i think this is a serious case of identity theft.  if any of the others that have posted read this, or any others who just read it that received the calls, you need to do all you can to protect your id.  i imagine we all entered our personal info onto an online payday loan place, or some other variant of a short term loan that was submitted to either a false company, or hijacked from a legit site.  contact your local attorney generals office.  this is a FREE service of the government... its like getting an attorney for free in cases like these.  if anybody else has any other helpful info, please share it.

This clown has been calling our company repeatedly asking for one of our (female)employees. He identifies himself as "Adam" and has a strong Indian accent.It sounds like an office or call center in the background. After I got on the line and informed him that he is breaking various federal laws by atempting to disrupt our business, he began using profanity and making requests for sexual acts.

got a call from this number and asked for me by my name, they hung up and i called them back. not a working number it said. so i googled it and came here.

I got a call from this lady stating her name was Lisa to call this number she had given me 661-210-4684 but caller id had this number 941-961-8518 telling me to give them 750.00 from a loan of 4874.00 to settle out of court before Monday I never did have a loan even for that amount with anyone they giving me relatives names part of my ss# I didn't give them nothing this guy I talk to was so angry with me because I kept telling him I can't understand him so he call me stupid and I told him to kiss my a.. I told him to learn how to speak english I knew something was wrong with all of that background noise and can't speak english I told them to take me to court

My mother received a call 3 times today from 941-961-8518 with the name "Florida" on the caller id.  A man with a very thick Indian accent, who identified himself as Jeff, wanted to verify her SSN. Also mentioned my sisters name, and said that if she did not take care of this today a team would be over to arrest her tomorrow and take her to the courthouse.  Funny that tomorrow is Saturday and I'm pretty sure there won't be anyone at the courthouse tomorrow.  Kept insisting that my mom should know about this case.  Gave her a # of 323-207-7413 to call back and discuss this.  And like the others when you call the 941 back it is disconnected, but the 323 does connect you to someone that simply puts you on hold.

We did call our local police department.  They stated it was a scam and DO NOT give them any information (even though they had her name, my sisters name, her ssn, and her address).

the number that called was 941-961-8518 this number is unaccessable . the return number is 661-210-4689 . all they want is money.

I recieved a call from a foreign person at the above number stating that I had a suite against me for a payday loan which I never got. I advised him that theycould talk to my attorney.

I today got a call from that same# everyone has listed. First they call my cell and left me a threating message, and after that "adam" his name said, called my work and left a message on my voicemail. If this is really a scam, can't the Federal Agency look into this? The same descriptions. Male with heavy European accent either from India or somewhere else. All my loans were paid off 2 years ago, and now they are calling me? My caller Id on my phone is (941) 961-8518 and gave me a (323) 207-7417 to call back, something is fishy.

Yeah, I got that same phone# too. My work has caller ID, since I was not able to pick up the line, I wrote that # down (941) 961-8518, and this adam guy said to call him back at the (323) 207-7417. I called that number and guess what. Last year, I only had 1 payday loan which was paid off because it came out of my checking account automatically and that was with Washington Mutual (back then). I closed my bank account and open a new one thru Bank of America 2 months ago. This Adam guy said that last year, my loan was not paid off, and he also mentioned if I am still with Bank of America. I thought about what he just said. I have been with Washington Mutual all that time last year, and I just open a new account with Bank of America 2 months ago. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY DETAILS. THIS IS IDENTITY THEFT.

I received at least 7 calls today from this number as well as a "31107108942" number that came up on my cell also. this "max morris" calls my mobile and work numbers and says i took out some payday loan in florida or something and i haave never even lived in florida. when he called my cell, i picked up and hung up each time so he could not get the acknowledgement of my voicemail and then he called my workplace and said "why are you hanging up on me when i call?" i told him never to call again and he has not called since but will likely call tomorrow. FDCPA guidelines state that debt collectors cannot call more than 6 times per day so if it were legitimate, they certainly would be abiding by these guidelines or would be out of business due to fines/suits.

Caller left a message on my cell with a very foriegn accent. He stated that it was very important for me or my attorney to contact him on this very time sensitive matter. He stated his name was Jason Brown and his return # is 661-210-4634. He also said that if no one did contact him back, he wished us the best of luck. In the research I have done, the return call # is a landline phone, located in Los Angeles, CA. The phone # that he is calling from is a cell # located in Sarasota, FL.
