Report a phone call from 951-892-7140 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- jamiei recieved one of those very same emails about my car for sale. but they used the number 206-666-5255 and emailed me from multiple email addresses. its always weird when theyre first message they dont want info on a car that you list as some assembly required and they just want to buy it on the spot. the second email was where the number was.
- yhungI experienced the same thing from "Kelly Rowland" on Craigslist. I gave her my contact/address. Should I be scared?
- SarahI also posted an item on craigslist and got a response from Kelly Smart. The phone number has changed, apparently - but below is the text of the e-mail I got. It didn't strike me as quite right so I googled the text and came up here - thankfully.
Thank for the prompt response to my mail.I will have my secretary
processing and mail a Banker's certified draft to cover the cost as
am completely satisfied with the purchase.I will need the details of
whom & where to mail the payment
1.Name to be on the check
2.Home address
3.Mobile #
P lease note 'United Parcel Service' do not deliver to P.O.Box
addresses and i will not be sending a mailing a draft to one,my mover
will be coming over for the pick up right only after the payment as
been delivered.Kindly delete the posting as am totally committed to
buying from you to save cost,..Here is my relay # 206-666-5255 am
deaf and will receive your phone messages via email ,regards - LucyI just, moments ago, received the same email from Larry [tolozolo100@gmail.com] in regards to a piece of furniture I'm selling on Craigslist. I was skeptical and googled the number and found all of these posts. I'm glad I checked!
- BethI knew it was an obviouse scam from this email in reply to my craigslist add. Wanted to add it to this long list.

I am a Banker.
This is a known scam.
You deposit the check.
Keep "your share" they offer to let you keep for your efforts and send them a cashiers check (which is good immediately and draws down your account).
A few days later you get a "NSF" charge on your account b/c the check you deposited was no good.
DO NOT INTERACT WITH THIS INDIVIDUAL.
DO NOT DEPOSIT ANY CHECKS. - KarlaMy brother actually gave this person his info... does anyone know if this person actually sends anything. I would hate for someone to ransack my home since this person has all kinds of personal info. a little scary!
- ElisaI posted an item on Craigslist and this "person" with this number (951)892-7140 said exactly the same thing as you others are reporting, that he is deaf, and he wants me to delete my item OFF OF craigslist, and he will send my money for the item by UPS, and I should be getting my money in 2 to 3 days. I got a funny gut feeling about this "person" and I "googled" his number.
Now tell me, why would a person with a number listed in California want to buy an item in NC and go to the trouble of having it shipped, when they could buy the same item at Walmart and save a lot of money?
I smell a big old rat...........that has laid "too, too many" rat turds. - RobertScam, got the same type of msg everyone else here got about the $3000. sent by bank draft. First problem - bank drafts can be cancelled for 20.00. He's offering you 100.00 for your running around time. # 2. Once you deposit this ck in your acct. Because the seller provided a Name, address,ph.to send a chk to, all they need is your acct# on the ck with your signiture and it gets scanned and then a Wire transfer is done to your acct...within 24 hrs...Your account is EMPTY - GONE
- At least my ad got one response.Wow this guy is hilarious. Here was my response to him:
Seriously? Read my first email again.
I was going to just delete this response, but I was overwhelmed by how stupid you come across and then I kind of almost felt sorry for you for spending your time doing this. You apparently know how to use a computer, so please consider the following:
Email addresses are free. Why does this scam require you to retain your original email address? A quick google search tells me that you have failed and failed at this. So here is some advice: get a new email address. I even gave you a heads up to this in my first response.
As long as I'm at it, your scam might have a chance of succeeding if you learn write like a literate person. Scratch that- you don't need to learn anything. It's only one paragraph, so just get someone who speaks English to proofread it for ten seconds. It would make it more believable. While I don't have a problem doing business with a semi-literate person, I just don't believe that a semi-literate person would have a full-time "mover" and secretary to save you from having to make a trip to "United Parcel Service." Are you a British lord from the 19th century? That is the only way to explain it.
If you are going to continue to try this scam, invest in an 800 number, or some kind of phone relay, so that your area code doesn't place you in California. It doesn't make any sense that you would send your "mover" to drive 6,000 miles round trip to pick up 18-pound bike. It's just beyond reason.
Also, even if (and this will never happen) someone falls for your scam completely, it's not really clear what you are expecting. You are mailing a check through UPS, and then what? Your "mover" comes to my home address before the check arrives to pick up the item? What the [***]?
It seems like you are targeting people who don't know how craigslist works. But people who don't know how craigslist works don't sell things on craigslist. I think your scam is doomed to begin with.
I realize that this pathetic response made it to my inbox via some kind of automatic reply. Maybe you could set up a filter to not reply to certain words like "scam," "scam artist," "paypal only" or things like that. You can do this directly in gmail. Then you would get flagged as a scammer less often. Or you could just change your email address every once in a while, [***].
I know that you probably just sit in a hut somewhere and wait for your "mover" to bring you craigslist merchandise, or maybe this is a sad attempt by an organization of moronic criminals who share the profits in order to avoid prostituting themselves. In either case, you will probably never receive this email. However, if you do and you send me a genuine response I promise to send you $10. For free! Because despite everything I kind of feel bad for you and your organization and your evil overlords. Plus it would totally be worth it to me if I could find out that you are real and that this scam is actually working somewhere on somebody.
I can send it the money through PayPal, through "United Parcel Service," FedEx, you name it. I might even do something really unusual and send the mail via the [***] POST OFFICE!
Just give me one or more of the following:
1.Home address
2.Mobile #
I'll add an extra $10 if you confirm which of the following categories explains your bizarre email:
a) You are the best in your village at computers, and you are attempting a "high-tech" crime
b) You are too lazy to steal tires
c) You are an [***]
d) all of the above
Thanks and have a great day! - marieI got this same email from craigs list. I didn't think it was true. But what hPpends if you cash it at amscot or walmart or something not using your account! Then they get scammed ya know? Is that possible please tell me!!!
- MKYep. Same here, Kelly said she was interested in my airline tickets with the same email as William:

Good day,how was your day? I just receive the confirmation from my
Bank that the check as been issued out and was mailed by the UPS it will
be delivered to your address a day from now according to the courier,
but to my greatest surprise the draft was made out for $2,000 instead
of the actual cost .It was claimed at the Bank that i requested for
such but am very sure i only made a request for the cost of the goods.
i will have love to cancel the draft but once the draft and been issue the
payment can not be reverse so pls
When and once the check is delivered to you place please take it to
your bank and
have it cashed, you will deduct your money plus an extra $100 to offset the
cost of your run around expenses, the rest of the fund should be sent to my
pick up man via western union the same day so that he can come over for the
pick asap.I would have actually love to give you a call immediately i was
informed about this but am a deaf and only uses a hearing-in paired phone
the relay so please send me a email if i can trust you to have the excess sent
to my mover thank you, best Regards.

Regards - JoeI posted antique furniture on Craigs list yesterday. I immediately recieved the same exact emails as posted by other people. My secretary will mail you a check.. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. What struck me strange were several things.
1, Why wouldn`t someone from his family call?
2, Why does his secretary cut the check?
3, Not a local phone number.
4, The use of the word "advert".
Basically we need to stay away from this guy.
