This is the United Health trying to save money.  Everything you day is written down and research to ddny payments on services. So be very careful what you say or better yet don't answer.

It is an RN from United Healthcare calling - they call periodically to check how my pregnancy/appts are going.  They've been very helpful and informative thus far.  I am actually glad they call.

This is United Healthcare and because of HIPPA medical rules for not sharing information, they must verify that they are speaking to the right person.  They follow-up with patients with chronic illnesses to ensure they are doing well and to keep them that way.  They are a liaison between you and your doctor.  My nurse calls once or twice a month.  It has helped me tremendously.

I received a call from this number and a message was left by a nurse with United Healthcare. I called back and the nurse mentioned that she worked in partnership with my employer to coordinate care. I had recently been in a major accident and she wanted to make sure I was getting everything I needed. This is legit and, at least in my case, was a great service offered by my insurance company and my employer.

Preventative care in the near term often prevents more expensive care down the road. Those that talk about insurance companies only wanting to make profit need to consider that. If my insurance makes sure I have the tools I need to stay healthy today, they won't need to pay for expensive treatments tomorrow. It saves them money. Just my 2 cents worth.

person called asking for my son or the parent of saying they were from united health care and wanted to come to the house and meet with me to make sure my son has everything he needs. I set up the appointment when he called because i was distracted with driving. He emailed me his information and i have called united how ever there is no notes in the records of the appointment. No one there can tell me if he works for them or if this is something that they do.

I received this same call from UHC today on my office phone.  I have had the same office phone number for years.  My company has insurance through BCBS and has never used UHC.  Ever.  No one in my entire family has ever had UHC.  Ever.  Yet, she asked for me and wanted me to verify my address and birthdate.  Suspicious at best.  I told her I was not interested and hung up.

This number and another number from this United Health Care thing has called me twice today in less then 3 hours.  I didn't answer the first time because I was on another call, and I missed the second call.  They left a message, but I could barely hear what they were saying.  I didn't call back, and I don't plan on it either.  I'm having enough problems with the reasons I go into the dr, so I don't need to talk to some other RN nurse or whatever and have to talk more about my situation that is already very hard and upsetting to talk about.  So they need to stop calling me.

This is a PHISHING Scam!

Rec'd 2 calls, they left messages about benefits w my employer and United Heath Care.

I got a call from this number mentioning about RN follow up and wanted to verify my information. I had a doubt and said I am at work and asked for call back number which they gave. I called UHC customer care and verified with them that the number I got the call is a valid number from UHC.

I was in the hospital until a couple of days ago.  The day I was released to go home an RN from United Health Care, my insurance company came to my room to ask me about my hospital experience and took special note of an issue I had that had nothing yo do with the hospital and offered me feedback.  This lady was very nice and called me today with a response to my issue.  We have become so paranoid of telemarketers and scammers that we automatically assume it is someone out to no good.  Just like everyone at the hospital made me verify my name and birthday and sometimes my address, so did she and she was sitting next to me.  My suggestion is that you do take calls from this number.

Received a call on my business line from this number - it is United Health, and I am a nurse who works for them, they don't even realize who the heck they are calling.

I was concerned and doubtful, too, so I contacted UnitedHealthcare through their web site. The assured me that it is legit. I have yet to connect with a nurse from this service, so I'm not sure exactly what they're trying to offer me.

Answered call from this number, I was also skeptical about United Health care asking for my birthday and information. But they gave me enough info so I confirmed it. They want to have a nurse talk to you about your benefits and answer any questions you have. They called back at a time I scheduled. I guess it's nice they're trying to be helpful but it seems more like a burden, especially if you understand your plan, but they are kind of pushy about taking your time to help you!

Legally, to protect themselves, they MUST "verify" your identity—so they ask for your personal info, to be sure that they don't share date w/ the wrong person; I.E., anyone other than you.  It's about the only way they be sure they're speaking to the right person.

Got a call from this number on my cell phone, which number I do not share.

they have called several times looking for someone that I do not know have told them several times do not call again and they just keep calling

When I answer this number they hang up on me.  I called back and the number says it's United Health Care, "hang up and call the number on your card."  I called the number on my card, United Health Care cannot confirm or deny that this is their number, they were not trying to reach me.  After reading the postings here, I'll be blocking this number.

Why wouldn't they tell you why they're calling in the voicemail then?  It makes it seem like it's a scam of some sort, or someone pretending to be UHC and in actuality is a collection agency.
