- MaddWell this is 2018 & they are still at it. We have NO dealings with United Health care & NEVER have. It is a total scam, we have checked it out! SCAM! Who would give their info to a total stranger that calls, a fool that is who! They are NOT even in our state. Leaves no messages & change their #,they are now blocked & going to be turned in.

- Steve replies to friesThis SOUNDS LIKE BS. Yes these services exist. I've used them. BUT THE CALLS DO NOT COME IN LIKE THIS. A RECORDED MESSAGE ASKING FOR SOMEONE ELSE? NO WAY. If I've not requested the service or the caller can't produce verifying information like a policy number or call back number THEY GET TO TALK TO MR. DIAL TONE.
I've also received calls from numbers with vastly different area codes with the same recording. NOPE, I'm not buying it. When I get a call asking for personal info in this manner I don't respond. PERIOD. - SteveThis is a scam to get private information

- DanCall this morning, did not answer since I did not recognize the number. Caller did not leave a message. I blocked the number on my phone, called the above number, and was told that it was a "non-working" number for United Healthcare and to call the number on the back of my medical card. If it is important, why can't they leave a message.
- Caller: Unied Healthcare
- Ya rightThese are "posers" pretending to be from UHC. IF UHC was really concerned about patient confidentiality then they wouldn't be making unsolicited phone calls and asking such personal question to which IF THEY REALLY WERE from UHC they'd already know all the answers or at least should. How about THEM getting a Secret Password from patients via the USPS? Cause it's a FELONY to attempt a FRAUD via the US POSTAL SERVICE! Because of the rampant number of scam artists making unsolicited calls using an endless supply of Spoofed CIDS no one in their right minds would believe anyone they don't already know and recognize the number calling. Or is UHC just to damn cheap to use the USPS IF they are legit. And the posers here claiming to be RN's from UHC or patients with UHC? What person in their right minds would answer what are supposed to be confidential information between the patient and their Doctors to a total stranger with all the OBVIOUSLY SCAM ARTISTS running rampant in this day and age? Bite me if you don't like my attitude. I'm not paranoid, I'm cautious and justifiably so. And how does a supposed RN make that diagnosis over the phone or online that only a qualified psychologist or psychiatrist IS EVEN LICENSED TO DO SO? Yup, scammers, plain and simple. Don't like my 'tude'? Then stop calling and send your questions via the USPS WITH THE SAME EXACT RETURN ADDRESS AS THE ONE ON MY INSURANCE CARD. Otherwise? Go the BLEEP AWAY and pull the dirt into the hole to bury yourselves WITH that you've dug with your own two hands and even less brain cells when posing as someone from UHC. What, too cowardly or just too cheap with endlessly greedy CEO's to pay for real postage? So much for Customer Care when they don't give a rats *** about their customers SAFETY when it comes to SCAMMERS PHISHING FOR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION when given away by being TOO TRUSTING with callers who they have no way of confirming the call is or ISN'T legit.

- LeroyWanted to talk to my wife, said her name backwards, I asked who was calling and she advised she was a nurse from United Health Care. She had a New York accent, but I told her United Health Care contacts me by phone or email, so this sounds like a scam. I reported this to United Health Care and I am waiting for a reply.

- DLB replies to KelleyThey SAY that they are from United Heathcare but they are not. Do not give them information.
- KLIf this was legit, you'd think they'd leave a voicemail when you don't answer.
- Devereaux replies to ADHI've saved this number to my caller ID under "scam" so if they call again I'll know to ignore it.
- JHMy husband got a call from this number (he didn't answer), left a message stating it was "Brittney with United HealthCare" asking for ME to call her back at 855-248-1472 x60333 and to leave my name, DOB and state I'm calling from. Yeah, not gonna happen. We're not even covered by UHC. Though my FSA account is through them, they only have MY number associated with that account. Must be a scam.

- LindamI have gotten “nurse” calls before and verify my info so they know they are speaking to the right person for HIPPA policies. BUT - this number called and asked for my brother stating he wanted to discuss “his appeal” (our numbers are not even in the same city). When I stated I would pass on the contact info for my brother to call him back, the guy asked me for my brother’s number. When I stated I would not share that but pass along HIS info to him instead - the guy hung up on me.
- PatsyI'm talking on the phone when I started receiving call after call from this number. These calls were interfering with my ability to hear the person I was speaking with. Four calls later I decided to look up this number and here I am. I don't and wouldn't answer calls that I don't recognize. Leave a message and I may consider calling you back, but more than likely not.
- Bob replies to friesThere are other more effective ways to reach patients in regards to their healthcare than cold / random / repeated calls on Friday night. Leave a message and state your purpose and perhaps I will call back.
