I got a call from this number and was checking my voicemail when i accidently deleted it without listening to it. I called the number back and get a voice recording... Who the hell called me?

I started getting these calls today, 7/30/2011. Reverse lookup said it was from a land line in Dallas , Texas. I called it back and got a machine that said something about setting up payments. I've been getting the payday loan scam calls for almost a year and I never answer unless I know who it is. I'm sure this is just another type of scam for money.

this company will go under soon enough ive taken enough calls and bs from them within the last 3 weeks after multiple numbers blocked witch cost money out of MY pocket...lawyer already taking action

We just started getting these calls and all of our friends are in the military.......do we have to go to our cell phone provider to block these numbers? We don't want these calls.

You can contact your cell phone provider service to find out what kind of blocking they offer.  I read somewhere that verizon will block a number for only 90 days.  I'm not sure if that's true.

Some newer cell phones have a way that you can block numbers from calling you.  I have an old phone so I don't know how this works.  Maybe someone else can help you out with that or maybe your cell phone company can show you how to use that feature.

The way I "block" calls with my cell phone is to save the annoying caller's number to my contacts list. I usually give them a name like Stupid Telemarketer so I recognize them immediately without having to look up the number.   When saving them to the contacts list, go in and assign them a custom ring tone, in this case you would choose "no ring".  That means if they call, the phone will not ring at all.  The only way you know they called is if they leave a message (they usually won't do that) and you will see that you had a missed call from them.

First I was getting calls non-stop from 855-466-2832 now this number 972 280-7286 started and seems to be no way to get them to stop.........its a prerecorded message.

I have blocked 18 numbers so far they have been calling 6 mos, nos from this number today. Im getting so sick of it. They try to say you will get arrested if you dont pay the loan, which I didnt owe, Dont pay them. Even the news stated anyone claling threatening to arrest you just hang up on them.

yup, me, too. said it was a collect call from a prison inmate.  I hung up, and rejected several other calls.  This is wasting my prepaid minutes...how can they be stopped??

It's a scam.  collect call from inmate, but you accept or call back, they get your info and charge you.

it's a scam.....don't accept their calls or call back.  if they threaten you, hang up.   don't give them your time or money.

The recorded name says it is someone named Chris and I have no idea why they are calling me or who they are

Received 3 messages yesterday, from Erie County Correctional Facility.  A female voice, said what sounded like 'Fran' as the caller.  No one I know!

It's not a scam.  It's a call from the prison system and/or ICE detention center.  If you don't want the collect call, don't accept it.  It's the same as ANY other collect call.  For those of use from the 70s-90s, we used to use collect calling as a standard.  Collect calls are not scams.  Someone wants to contact you and they are asking your permission.

This is not a collect call.  It is a prepaid account call (set up by the receiving person) for someone in prison.(evidently all thruough the us)  The recording you get is telling you how much you still have on your account. It says collect (I believe) but is is prepaid and the$ is taken off the account each time they call.  It isn't supposed to be place on your phone bill as a colect.  If it is or your not supposed to be getting these calls 888-288-9879 for PCS Daily Dial.
