- m jthe number 972-280-7286 is on my phone's reject list but it still rings thru , it is a scam trying to get you to accept charges on a call from someone in jail , do not take that call it will cost you a bundle like dollars per accept and dollers per minute.
- Heather| 1 replyThis number called me from 1am 6am this morning. There is no option to stop the calls. It is only an automated system. Thank God I had my phone on silent last night bec. I am pregnant and need my sleep. Even if this isn't a scam and is prepaid Jail card someone calling from...I don't know anyone in jail in CA and they shouldn't be able to call at this time. This is a form of harrassment even if it is a wrong number and should be illegal. When they call back I will answer this time. I skip trace for a living so I am going to find out what else I can do like faxing a cease and desist, etc. This is ridiculous!

- VELMAWhen adding funds to our account; you should give the option of whuch facility we want to deposit for. I have made many deposits through the automated service to save some time and has not done me any good cuz it always goes to the wrong facility. Another thing is that when we choose the option to speak to someone, it takes about an hour or more to be able to speak to someone. Not to mention that you have very rude people working at your business.
- DonnaThis is definately a scam, prank, & outright harrassment as my phone rang constantly today from this number until I answered it. It then said it was a collect call from "Phil" or "Bill" or someone who was talking so low & fast couldn't quite make out the name except it was a male, & said it was coming from an inmate at the Indiana State Penn! When I hung up it immediately called back but I didn't answer. Later it started again & this time I didn't say "Hello" just listened, again the same person calling & he said his name in exactly the same voice tone, pitch, indicating to me that this was a recording of someone saying their name.. not an actual collect call where you have to repeat your name everytime you try to place the call. On my voicemail this number also left messages in a female voice about calling them if I wanted to receive some sort of quotes.. nothing to do with prison! And yes, this is coming from the Dallas area & no, I do not know & do not want to know anyone in prison. Anyone who says it's not a scam/prank/harrassment is either in on it or very naive, IMO! This only serves to harrass tax-paying citizens who are already paying for them to be in prison where they apparently have nothing better to do & the prison calling system is apparently either letting them do it or using the recorded material they've collected from inmates & prisons (who probably didn't know they were being recorded by PCS) to harrass people themselves which IMO is a crime in itself so maybe the PCS should do some time as well! I've also had this same number call & ask for some woman repeatedly & when you call back you get an automated machine like a debt collector!
- Caller: PCS
- RochelleThis is not a scam. It can be either prepaid or collect depends on if the inmate has a calling card or not. I know this because my husband calls me from this number and we have done it both ways. If it is prepaid it will tell you in the opening sentence. As far as people that don't know anyone in jail, maybe they're calling the wrong number. P.S. My husband calls from Garza County so I'm imagining that they system just has an universal calling number.

- Tyler| 1 replyThis is the number that my dad in prison calls me from. This is not a collect call as he uses his own money to do it and I am not ever billed anything.
- jeciGot 2 collect calls from a guy named Nick "who is an inmate at-------" I forget what the name of the institution is (if I get another call, I'll try to remember it). First call was on 09/30/2012 11:44 am MST and the second on 10/05/2012 at 4:00 pm MST. I don't know anyone by that name, so, obviously, did not accept the call. I searched the online White Pages; it turned up as PCS, Dallas TX. I don't know anyone in Texas, and have not yet determined what exactly "PCS" is. The Bing map on the Free People Search shows the location as somewhere on the south side of Young Street, roughly halfway between South Ervay Street and Evergreen Street. I looked it up on Google Earth, and the satellite image showed a large building labelled "Dallas Insurance-Local Insurance USA". When you hover your mouse over the label, it says "What is SquareSpace? A fully-hosted, completely managed environment for creating and maintaining a website, blog, or portfolio. Try it Free. Localinsuranceusa.com"
For what it may be worth, I also received 2 calls on 09/30/2012 at 9:53 and again at 9:55 am MST from 920-497-0191. I searched the online White Pages; the number traced back to a Cynthia and Darrell Dombrowski, 4204 Hillcrest Dr Oneida WI 54155-9107. I do not know anyone with any of those names, nor do I know anyone from or even near Wisconsin. However, the fact that all the calls on 09/30 happened so soon one after the other, from people and places I do not know, does beg the question of whether it was sheer, improbable coincidence, or somehow connected. Rather odd, no matter how you look at it.
Yes, two collect calls from an inmate one does not know can generate a bit of inquisitiveness....

- jeci replies to TylerIf this is a prison phone number system, is there a way to let someone know they have the wrong number so that they do not waste their time trying it? If there really is a "Nick" there, it would be rather pathetic for him to be sitting in prison, believing that someone he knows does not want to talk to him. Sad, really.
I'll nip back in once in a while to see whether I get a reply to this question. - carltonI receive occasional calls from this number and the name given of the person
trying to call me is someone that I used to know. Because they always reach
my answering machine, it's not a big deal and I just delete the message. This person is in an Idaho prison facility, minimum security. - PCS
- JennieI am sick of getting these calls. I got 10 calls in a 2 hour time frame
- mgI have received 5 calls from this number this evening stating it is from Rachel an inmate at monroe county jail. the voice mail says it is a prepaid debit card call. Just concerned....have never received a call like this before and we live in IN not TX and do not know anyone incarcerated there.
