Left voicemail in Spanish.  Not sure what it was about.  Blocked.

When this number calls it's from a correctional facility. It will first call and say an offender would like to add your number to their call list. Then depending on the correctional facility the same number will appear when the person calls you back. It's either a prepaid debit on their account or you would have to put money on your phone to accept the call. This number is one of the main numbers routed through GTL .  Global Tel Link, a company that the inmates have to call through. It's a woman on the recording and you can decline the calls. Unfortunately depending on the location where you are if you try to return the call it may transfer you through to a Spam number it all depends on how your phone service routes. The number will call you for your acceptance or denial so that the inmate can reach you ( which is normally 2-3 days). If the inmate takes your number back out of the phone list because you haven't accepted it and puts it back in then it will recontact you. If you continue to get phone calls from GTL you can call GTL directly at 18004838314 and talk to an actual person. Hope this helps

There is no option other than hanging up. If you listen to the message, the options you have are (1) to press one to provide payment info so that the inmate can make calls, or (2) press 2 to enter your credit card info to pay for the calls. I blocked this number, and yet, they are filling up my voicemail box with messages!

Call from correctional facility

This is a telemarketing call.  They claim its a call from someone in a correctiona facility but the name announced is distorted so you can not figure out who it might be.  I called it back and the recording said I am eligible for a free medical device.  SCAME SCAM SCAM

If you call the # back its a telemarketing company for medical devices.  SCAM

Got two calls, different numbers, from a "prison" (recording).  I'll use the blocking feature on
my cellphone as many times as I have to.  We don't know anyone in prison anywhere.

Calls from  umber 972 280 7286. Message ask if this is the person responsible for this phone. Looked the number up. Some type of jail?

This number keeps calling asking if I am the one to authorize purchases
I just keep ha going up

Message saying they are from a prison and I have to press 1 to accept call. Called 9 times quickly until I could hit the block button.

This number keeps calling me. It's a Texas inmate....i don't know anyone from Texas.

Calls me repeatedly for days, multiple times. Man on phone and then a recording asking me a bunch of questions that are my personal information.

For me it was a scam call. Unfortunately for those who may actually be getting calls from this number from inmates they actually know.
