Contact the Better Business Bureau and report them for calling if you are on the do not call list and do not have a loan with them.  If they are calling because you have a loan, they can call whether you are on the list or not.  But, if you do not and they still call, they can get fined.

This is a simple case of a false sense of power. Theses soulless husks think they are above you and can do what ever they want to and all you can do is take it. Do what I do, answer the phone and just f#@$5 with them until they hang up. I start talking gibberish, I never tell them that I am the person their looking for and I ask totally unrelated questions to them! I actually had one guy giving me pointers on programming my TiVo! The calls have slowed down a lot for me, I’m guessing when the same people that have dealt with me in the past see me pop up on their screen they just by pass me rather then deal with the incoherent babble they know for a fact is going to come out of my mouth! I told one lady I would mail her a scratch off lottery ticket that was a ten dollar winner if she promised too apply it to my loan and not use it to buy booze! It’s actually fun to do and gives them a taste of their own crazy pills! DO IT! Come oooooon! DO IT!

Sandater (or something like that) has called my phone several tiems from different numbers. Called them back and they say they are an auto loan company and wanted my account number or dob.

    Interesting.

    I've not bought a car since 2005.

I don't owe anything on my car.

And I've sure never heard of this company.

Service rep stated that without an account number he couldn't have my cell number removed.

I received another call form 972-559-1162 regarding someone who used me as a reference.  I told them I have absolutely no contact with this person.  They have now called me at work and they guy was definitely pushing for information.

The person who used me as a reference will have to call them for them to quit calling me.

Who the hell are these people? I got a new cellphone 5 days ago, owe nothing to anyone, yet they pester me from a couple different numbers.  So I just registered at donotcall.gov but that takes time to kick in.  Meanwhile they keep calling with their robo-dialer computer and never say anything..

I received a voicemail from this "unknown name" company, stating they were trying to reach a Mr. or Mrs. James (which I don't know anyone by this name).  The lady stated in the voicemail she was given my number, as I would know how to get in contact with the party she was trying to reach.

I couldn't understand the call back number, nor will I waste my time calling back.  I don't have any idea who might have given my number and thought I would know how to get in contact with people I don't even know.  Perhaps they should find family members to try to locate these people.  What good is it to contact a party that has no idea who "you" are trying to get in contact with?

Like me, maybe they are trying to contact a previous person, who had your number...Relax and just ignore the calls, or answer and tell them you just got your number and that you wish you could help them, but have no idea who they are trying to reach.

Our original loan was through CitiFinancial.
Two weeks after I bought my car (used, I might add), I got laid off.
Within 3-4 months, our loan had been "sold" to Santander.

We've never spoken to the same individual more than once.
When either one of us tries to explain our situation, we are told that notations are being made to our account.  However, these notations seem to mysteriously "disappear" by the time we speak to them again...when they don't hang up on us.

They called some friends of ours & asked THEM to contact us to call Santander back because they couln't get a hold of us.  Well, every time I would answer a call from them, they'd HANG UP on me!

One Friday recently, one woman told me, "if you can make a full payment now, you'll be eligible for a 2-month deferment."
So, I make a full payment & she says that she's submitting a deferment request.

FIVE DAYS LATER (Tuesday morning!), yet another person from Santander calls & says that we're behind & they need to set up a payment.  I explained what had happened the previous Friday...even gave him the woman's name that I had dealt with.  He said that I wouldn't be eligible for a deferment until we were 45 days past-due!!  EXCUSE YOU???????

These people are spawns of Satan.

Here's a list of #s that they've used on us & other folks on this board:

If anyone has any ideas how to divorce us all from this horrible company, PLEASE let us know!!!!

PS - One of the only consolations that I have is knowing that they'll have to answer for their behavior eventually...if not here on Earth, the most certainly on Judgement Day. (as we all will)

they did the same thing to me....and said I qualified for a deferrment after I lost my job and that two months of payments were moved to the end of my loan. However, they still call nonstop and according to my bill no payments were moved. I HATE these people (not a loan with them by choice - was sold to them during the big bank bailout....thanks a lot!) if i could refinance my car loan, i totally would.....can you refinance a car loan?

I did the same thing in my cell phone. As of today, I have 15 different numbers that they use. I have never seen a company act like this. The harassing calls start if you're one day late. Payment arrangements mean nothing to them. They continue to harass you even if arrangement have been made and you have always honored the arrangement. This has got to be harassment but who do you report it to and will they do anything about it?

I have one payment left with them. ONE! And I am completely up to date. Doesn't matter, they are the lowest of the low and harass you and anyone who knows you. I would kill to see a major lawsuit brought against them.

    SCUMBAGS!
