You can block your number from these kinds of calls two ways: a) press 6 when prompted, make up a 4-digit pin and key it in when prompted, or b) call the telephone vendor that MDOC uses at 1-855-466-2832 and tell them you want a block put on your phone so that you no longer recieve prisoner phone calls. They'll ask you for only basic information, then will contact your current phone company and have them block the prison's inmate calling number. I chose to do option b above and stopped receiving these unwanted calls within a day.

It is MDOC. My husband called me from that exact number last night and he is in prison... The collect calls company they use is out of texas... if you don't want them calling you just call MDOC and tell them you don't want to receive anymore calls. Or call your phone company. They will gladly put you on their block list whomever you decide to contact.

My voicemail says this number is calling from St. Louis,mo. Correctional facility and has called me on n off alllllllll friggin day asking me to accept the charges and needs to stop before i make a road trip;)

Pressin 6 duz not work fer sum reason on my phone to stop these damn calls that interrupt my work day continuously!!! Tells me 6 is not a valid response!!!!

I been getting call from this number for maybe 3 days, the name on my phone said "Charles" I have no clue who that is. It rings two time and they hang up. I have answered one time and its die air. How do you get them from calling you 10 times a day.  

getting at least 2 calls a day from this number but every time we answer the phone there is no one there. please stop the no one there phone calls...

Got two calls from this number.  Did NOT pick up the first time.   2nd time did not give name. Stated he wanted to speak to "Jazzlynn". found out it was PCS contracted calling servie for Michigan Dpet. of Corrections.  WILL NEVER ANSWER ANY CALL LIKE THIS AGAIN IF I DONT KNOW THE NUMBER!!!!!!!1

I've gotten a call from this number 3 times Friday evening January 17.  It says it was from a correctional facility in Saginaw Facility.  I went up North Skiing and thought it may have been a legitimate call from someone who was ticketed in Saginaw.  But here a week later its Sunday evening January 26 10:30 pm and I get the call again. The voicemail sounds like the person says Carl or Scott "somebody"............

Although this may be true.  I don't know anyone locked up in a Michigan correctional facility in Saginaw.  This is a bit weird.

I missed the call so don't know who it was from so I am not going to call it back because of others have told me that there is a scam out there where they are charging you for the call and also taking your information. So I looked it up and found your site and I am reporting it.

I have been receiving multiple calls a day, with VMs left every time from MI correctional facility, name of Ryan. This is almost guaranteed a scam, as the likelihood that so many have been receiving the same type of call and do not know who it is or know anyone in MI corrections is very slim. Most likely someone has set up a false messaging system trying to prompt individuals to 'Set up an account' and 'Enter your credit card information', under the guise of MI corrections (female 'operator' voice). DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION, AND ADD THEM TO THE 'REJECT' LIST (Android) IF YOU WANT THEM TO STOP. It is not very hard to set up a fake messaging system, and get a female pre-recorded voice to add prompts.

I receive a call saying they were calling from debit card in prison, they never gave there name.I waited for them to say who they were. there was a machine saying that if I thought it was a fault attempt to press a number 1 or 2 for 3 for some thing elves. By the time you lesson to the message, I had to call them back to see if it was some one I know.

I received a call tonight, Saturday, March 1st, 2014 at 11:19pm, i let the call go to VM and when I listened to the msg, it was from West Shoreline Prison, a guy named Bruce. I believe it was the prison in Muskegon. But the area code is making me scratch my head...do prisoners get cell phones? I mean, the only way one could call Muskegon area code in the Muskegon areas would have to have a cell number from TX...hmmmm....

2nd call - Got an automated call. Collect call from "Sergio." I know a Sergio and he was sitting right next to me. Say's that if you feel you are being victimized to report it, maybe I will next time.
Same deal - MI Corrections call, allegedly, despite a TX area code. I don't know anyone incarcerated.

You are obviously scamming even the concerned.  If your father is in there, then why doesn't he call you or a relative rather than a stranger.
