It is the mdoc and sometimes we will borrow one anothers prepaid calls n trade for food or commodities etc so u may not recognize the prerecorded name but it still could b someone u know...if it says its prepaid it does not cost u anything n the first min is free after that if u dont know the person n they keep callin block them their is a option for that n the reason u need to make up a cide is in case in the future u decide u want to unblock ud need to use that pin again...is def the mdoc though...hope this helps

For the past couple days, I have received calls from this number from a Marquette, mi correctional facility.  The inmate is ernest griffin, whom I have never heard of.

Got a call late at night from this number answered and got automated prompts from Michigan state corrections to accept or deny the call from some guy named reggie

I would like to be removed from this directory. I don't know anyone from this facility. I'm not sure how you found my phone number but remove it,  please.

i also got a call from same number.Caller said he was it was NEWBERRY MI.prison.Guy said his name was Robin.I did not take the call.ALL my friends are in a different prison in Mexico

Received a call this number - its an automated voice saying its a one minute free call from Department of Corrections from  - and then a male voice said "Me" (I guess where the name would normally be spoken).  I hung up.

Call from 9727980395. Don't know anyone in Texas. Not answering. Automated voicemail from Mi department of corrections? Wtf??? And number registered to a Lisa Loy out of Kentucky. Stinky scam...

Has called my cell phone a few times in the last week, always saying his name is Ray.  I know 2 Rays.  One is dead, the other is NOT in prison.  So I have no idea who this caller is.

Same as others, I keep getting calls from the Muskegon MI prison asking if I will accept charges to talk to "Dane". I don't know a Dane.

Someone is falsifying the MDOC caller id.  Calling them back gets you the actual MDOC.  What this scammer really wants is to reach someone who knows someone in MDOC and is willing to send money or give their credit card number over the phone - When They Call.

Keeps calling repeatedly!  Leaves no message!

This is a call (could be prepaid or collect) from an inmate at Michigan Dept of Corrections. The call I received was prepaid but I wasn't available to answer and the name of the inmate was cut off from the voice message so I don't know who it was. The call seems legitimate, and I would likely accept it if I knew who was calling from jail.
