These people called me today in the morning I answered it he told me he was selling pharmaceuticals
I told him to take my name off his list. Tonight at 7:30 PM he called again this ti me it went to my answering machine and he hung up.

I cannot believe that you all have gotten this call like I did 10 minutes ago and nothing can be tracked. It seems very strange that this phone then is disconnected when you call it. I am going to find this out. It ticks me off.

Someone has definitely been selling phone numbers. I've been getting the most strange numbers on my I'd recently. I never answer but looking at this, it makes sense. I'm entertaining changing my number.

called several times - asks for someone else, then calls right back.

I have also rec'd several calls from this number in Newark, NJ.  I don't pick up & they don't leave any message.

I have been getting MULTIPLE calls from this weirdo and I am worried that we have been scammed in some way.

I usually transferred him to the people he asked for, but today
I finally asked who he was and why he was calling people in my company.

He mumbled something I couldn't get so I asked him to email me and he hung up.

The number he called from is disconnected.

I get calsfrom this number many times a day, when I call back it s disconnected.

I have received calls from a particular agent in this organization many times at work.  I can recall seeing a caller ID only once...yesterday and it was this number.  At least four times the same agent (I now recognize his voice) leaves a message that simply says "your stupid" in a somewhat slow and melodic tone.  Very odd.  Since I previously had no caller ID, I could do nothing.  Though having a number that doesn't work, is only better in that I could contribute to this thread.

This number has called several times. Caller has heavy accent. Claims to be from a company (e.g, Oracle, IBM or Forrester). The latest call was to my boss to verify if he was attending a webiner on 3/31. The individual claims my boss replied to an email he received last week about a webtiner on Web Security by Forrester. I told him my boss could not make the webiner and the individual wanted to know why. The caller became irate because I started to questino where he was calling from. This is not the first call we have gotten from someone claiming to be from company we do business with. The caller repeatedly asked to speak to my boss who was in a meeting. I called back the number and got the message "number is either disconnected or not in service".

I get calls every day and night but why and who is this?

doesn't matter if it says the number is no longer in service.  if the phone system is advanced enough, they can send any number they want as the displayed caller-id number...and they usually select numbers that are out of service.  or their system could be playing a bogus recording back to you.
as a telecom engineer, i used to do it all the time to trick my work mates.  this number is a newark new jersey number, but the call could actually be originating from anywhere.

Just got a call did not answer they need to fix it where it is mandatory for companies to have there name exactly on the caller id and maybe that will give us head way on knowing this call is not from a legitimate company, even legitimate companies are doing the unknown caller thing it is annoying, but if we call anyone our true name and number are splattered all over caller ids. They should make it mandatory for them to put name and at least there customer service number as the call back number. makes no since. Got a call last week on the scam that is saying they are a check cashing company and we would be be summoned at our job.

I've got several calls from that number, too. Now I named it "SPAM" in my phone and I simply don't pick up.

I got the same call... the little rude f&*^er told me he was from Medilinq...he gave me their phone number as a contact number... the people at Medilinq are just as rude...they said their marketing company was Platinum Marketing but could not give me a number.  I am trying to track them down...so i can jump through the phone rip someone's head off an sh*# down their throat!

me too. on a number that nobody has because i haven't even used it yet. its a prepaid.
