just got a call from 9876543210 they said they were from Micro Soft and that they had lots of error reports, he asked me to go to my computer and hit the start and small r key at the same time.
I then had to enter the word

not sure but I think they were hackers

Just got a call from this number - guy said he was Mickey.  Wanted to talk to owner.  Owner said
he doesn't talk to scammers.  Mickey said to tell him to pay his bill.  All our bills are paid and up-to-date.  This guy is an ***ho*e.  Definitely a scam.

I don't even think that this is a real number; okay maybe the number is real but it is no real company looking to sell ads.  I do think that there might be a way to program a fake number into outgoing caller id info.  it must be a scam.  I don't pick up if I don't know the number. I'm guessing that they will change the number when we all figure out that 9876543210 is a countdown to a scam.

This is a scam.  I have never lived in Melrose, NY and 9876543210 has never been my number

The lady on the other end was talking in Hindi.
went on talking [***] stuff and I had to ask do you know me who am I and she said some name which wasnt mine & I hung up.
Getting real nasty, dont know how to stop.

Got call from this number by Indian sounding person claiming to be a windows IT person stating my computer is corrupt and only he can fix it.

9/28/12  Tonight at 10:45 pm I received a call from this number, woman said that she represented Windows for Microsoft and someone was trying to hack into our computer and wanted me to key some code into my computer.  I told her that we are on a do not call list and that I was going to report her.  She didn't care and just kept insisting that I do as she said so I hung up.  Within minutes she had the nerve to call back!  When I tried to ask her questions (how she got our private #, etc) she wouldn't answer but kept insisting that I do what she wanted me to do.  I told her that I was hanging up and if she called back that I was going to the police.  I then hung up on her!

Hi!  One way you can try to stop it is to register your number with www.donotcall.com.  Then you can log a complaint with them.  I did!  If enough people complain, something will be done about this situation!

Got a call from this phone number and guy named Ron from Windows with and Indian accent said my computer was sending error messages and he was going to walk me through the steps to delete the virus from my computer that was causing it.  I thought it was fishy so I put the guy off.  I was able to get him to give me a call back number but haven't tried calling it.  Number he gave me was 973-975-0950.  Sometimes when he calls the ID shows up as unknown.  Had received a similar call but was an Indian woman speaking that time.  Must be a bunch of people working the same scam.

This number (and blocked number around same times) calling to tell me my windows system is sending error messages to Windows Company so need to sit down in front of my computer and do what he says - very insistent

Number has been calling me multiple times per day for the last few days.  They left a message today and it sounded like an indian/hindu language and once in a while I would hear "Payloo, don't get excited" then it would be the other language again.  Usually they hang up or I hear them chatting.

I keep getting calls from a 9876543210 number and some indian guy comes on the other line claiming he's a company of some sort and tries getting info from me. One thing for sure is I know who I pay my bills with and how much I owe them and there numbers. This guy been calling me for about 3 weeks now and when I don't pick up he my voicemail always gets what seems to be a whole bunch of people talking in the background like its a telecommication company. I'm getting really sick and tired of this unknown person calling me 1am, 6am and 3am everyday and its getting on my last nerve. I don't know this person and I know its a scam. I even tried calling the number back and it doesn't exist.

Scam artists from India, they call from several masked numbers.  among them are 630-668-9832. and 202-666-8547.  and probably many others.  They use Voip and proxy their phone numbers that way, so that they can't be traced.  they need reported for fraud to FTC.  The scam varies from what you have said, to telling you you've won grant money from the US gov and they need your account number to wire it to you, to telling you your microsoft computer is infected with viruses and they need access to fix it and your account number to pay them... among i'm sure a myriad of other calls/numbers/scam stories all from the same people.  They will call relentlessly, sometimes more than once an hour, other times they will call you once a day.   Don't give them any info.  Do report them to the FTC.  Hopefully they can do something about it.

Keep getting calls from this number. Confirming my business address and making reference to free business trade publications that I presently receive. Offering more free publications but then billing me.

Yep got the call this morning but didn't answer if its not my area code t hey can go and talk to their mothers..'poor people that didn't have good parents to teach them to be respectful ..don't answer this number they are just bored and need people to talk to even if its insulting them..we'll back to my nap...

This # is a scam!!!!!!!!!!!! they called saying they were MICROSOFT? and that my computer was about to crash from an overload of viruses(I have Norton Secuity) and that they were suppose to help me with any poblems with my registry.  I was told to downlad a promgram (Amyy.com), so he could remotely assist me, Stupidly I did.They asked for my credit card info, I told him  didnt have any money on my card (prepaid) debit then he told me to go to western union to send them the money. And to top of the call he asked me how big were my boobs. WTF  kind of question is that?  SCAM,SCAM,SCAM.   DDOONN''TT  YYOOOUU BBEEELLIIEEVEE IITTT. I called microsoft and te rep told me they will not call you, you have to call them.
