I first got this call with a round of other calls that I didn't know and just did a mass delete. But then it began popping up every so often to at least a few times a week now. I thought it was strange number and even agree its not a coincidence with it being a number sequence from 9 down to 0.

Whoever calls and never leaves a message. I haven't called them back. But this week they've been calling everyday just around the same time.

I had been trying to catch them but they call at sporadic times during the day like afternoon to evenings to early mornings.

well I finally got them today!!


It was a foreigner and when I answered he said he worked for some computer place company and his name was Alex. He said he was calling because he noticed there was a computer virus threatening my computer and their satellite picked up on it and he called to help me fix it. he began talking some gibberish of how I need to turn my computer on and log on to their system with my username password something or other. I liked and told him I didn't have nor owned a computer. He said come again I do not understand what you just said to me. I'm like I said I don't own or have a computer. he asked me how was that possible, then asked again if I was sure. I'm like I don't own a computer. he said ok if you say so and then hung up on me.


oh well I wasn't about to fall for some trap. my internet isnt working anyway right now so he still would've been [***] out of luck.

the guy with broken English saying they were getting error messages from my computer. I told him there's nothing wrong with my computer I knew this was a scam from the phone number. I said you tried calling before and it didn't work so you need to stop calling. he started getting pushy and I told him that he was going to stop calling and I hung up.

This number called and said they were from a computer management company and they were receiving a signal that something was wrong with my computer, after I cussed him out I immedietly hung up...SCAM

Have received 3 calls, over 3 days, one each day. First two times, we picked up, said hello, got no answer, and eventually a disconnect sound. Third day, today,  (6/26/2013) I chose not to pick up.

For five days, someone calls me from this number and there is no response when I answer. The phone hangs up automatically. When I call it back, it says it is a non-working number.

I just checked the number using White pages reverse feature and got this:

This most likely is a scam or stock number

Its a Mexican area code lol sure its the yellow pages yep

Had a missed call from this nuber when I attempted to cal back I got an automated message saying this number was no longer in service. Hmmm scam!

this person is calling a business number

get a call from this number at least once a day. I never answer it since i don't know anyone with that area code...they never leave a message. I just looked it up and found all of this. I called the number back and i get "this number is not in service"

how can you stop this people!!!

SCAM: Got a call from this number saying that someone in Nigeria tried to hack my computer. The guy had an accent and wanted access to my computer. He wouldn't provide the name of his company or any info SCAM

My number has not belonged to a company for over 10 years now.  Why do they continue to call to update business listings?

Area Code 987 is in Cozumel Mexico! Be careful  when anwering, speaking to anyone or calling back this number. If you try to return the call but receive a recording that it is not necessary to dial a "1" or no one at the other end, it is because you have to dial a Country code.

Major Scammers - and YES to those smart enough to figure out that is a count down from 9-0.

I have been chatting with this person who doesn't want to reveal himself for a whole month and wanted me to do business with him and i was so reluctant.He said that he is  in Los Angeles but i could judge his race due to broken English during the many chats.He never called me but i decided to look for his contacts when he went silent on me n surprisingly getting this number in his contacts,in my research i found this page and am surprised...SCAM!!!!!!!

I keep getting a call from this phone number and when I answer, I can tell someone is there but they don't speak

I got a call from these people telling me  that my PC was in trouble and had contacted a serious virus involving my online banking.  The more questions I asked the less he could tell me and the more confused he got. Whenever I asked him for his companies phone number (because I started getting suspicious) he started stuttering and said "mircotechpc.com"  then I asked him yet again and he said "it should be microtechpcsupport.com" all while he was whispering to other people in the background. when I went to visit the website I could immediately tell that this was a fake website because half of the things were misspelled and the punctuation was not used correctly. I kept asking him for his companies phone number and he made up some excuse as to why he couldn't give me that information saying "the people higher than him wouldn't allow it" this was a HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE scam!!!!!!!!!!!! BEWARE!

This number calls me daily.  If I don't answer they don't leave a voicemail.  If I do there is no one on the other end.  This number is a SEQUENCE 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1-0.  SCAM!! I registered with NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY: 888-382-1222.  I also blocked number from my cell phone.  Will see if that works but I wanted to report as I can see this number is a hassle for many going back over 5 yrs!

Try calling the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY 888-382-1222 from every phone you have or block number on your phone if its a cell phone.  Hope this helps! This number is a scam and has been going on over 5 years....
