Call today 3 Dec 2012, to a number in Victoria, Australia.
I was very abrupt with the female caller who purported to be from the "Microsoft Service Centre".
In the past I have had numerous such scam calls from India.
It is said that those people request access to your computer to remove errors and then plant an app which they then charge to remove.

This number rang my home phone today (Queensland Australia) I did not answer because I did not recognise the area code! the number rang 3 times over the space of 45mins. after reading this im happy I didn't!!! but if I do I will be saying hello to  Michael Borer

I just received a call from the number 9876543210 a man with either an Asian or indian accent asked for me by my name (not given here). When i asked who it was he hung up on me.

I smell something fishy..so I will investigate further..

Called once at 7:10 am... I didn't answer. I google searched the number which led me here. Less than 10 minutes later, same number calls. Upon reading this forum, I answered politely and let the [***] Indian give me his schpiel about needing antiviral software. After he finished trying to "sell" me, I rudely informed him I don't even have a computer and that I had just read online that he was an overseas scammer. I then threatened to take a boat over to India and blow his [removed:lang] head off for calling me repeatedly at absurd hours of the morning. Haven't heard from him since

when this number rings my phone it says its from overseas, know not to answer those ones!!

he called my number in Australia claiming to be from Windows.  I didn't let him get further than that

I have been recieving calls from this number (987) 654-3210 with inappropriate threats and comments. I answer they tell me that they are with a tech support and he has an Indian accent and its getting ridic. I tell him to stop calling and i get told "[***] the [***] up, you listen to me, wife you don't than i am reporting you to the police and we will bomb your house and family" its [***] up because i have a two year old son who doesn't need to see his step mother flipping out. I have an app called YouMail on my phone and they come up with a name as Frukas Is Here and its a black guy with braids. I call the number and i get told that its disconnected i had verizon block the number.

i answered and no reply.. all the machine said was "goodbye": this is the 7th time in the past 3 days i've had this! PLEASE STOP THIS!!!

Been getting upto 6 calls a day from a private number since the start of the week, it's 5:30pm on a saturday, ten minutes ago I got a call from this number, I didnt pick up and 5 minutes later a call from a private number, seems like they forgot to make the number private one time, and their calls seem to be coinciding with charity calls I got yesterday from guide dogs australia and another number claiming to be from a charity, I never answer and they do not leave messages on the answering machine.

We are continually being called from an overseas number 9876543210 want to acsess our computer.
We feel that these calls are part of a scam.

They said they were from verizon and wanted to take back the number from Cable to save us money.  I told them I already have Verizon to shut them up lol

I have been receiving calls on my cell phone from this number.
I keep telling them to stop calling..  to take my number off his calling list..
I was told this afternoon that they would take my number out of "Their Directory" for $20 dollars!

Got a call from 987-654-3210 and was an indian person who could not speak English very well. he wanted me to go to a website and I just said no and hung up. SCAM

Got a call from this guy saying my microsoft desktop has viruses and he would show me with my own eyes if I was near a computer. I told him I have a macbook. I asked what company he was with something along the lines of Computer Tech Support from Los Angeles. I told him not call my number again.

I received a call from that number. The person on the line had a strong indian accent. He call me for my name and said that was coaling from a computer support company called "PC Tech Support" and that his company got an automatic message from my computer about some issues, and he would give the support. He asking go to the web side www.amayy.com. and read to him what i was seen. I was acting like i was doing it. Then told him that the screen was white. Then he told me to go to www.showmypc.com. He asked again what i sew. I told that there was a massage in reed color and capital letters that say "BE CAREFUL, DANGER WED SIDE".

All this happened in approximately 20 minute because I made him to spell and repeat each word few time on purpose . then he got very angry and started to say obscene words. I'm so glad because i made him waste his time But somebody should stop this.

I got a call from this number. Some [***] telling me he got an error message saying my computer had a virus. He wanted to fix it for me so I went along. He gave me the address and told me to log in to his site so he could fix it. After pretending to log in, he asked me what I saw on my screen. I told him I saw a picture of a bunch of cowboys sitting down to eat a roasted pig and a side of beef. I told him seeing that picture was making me hungry. He said I logged in to the wrong site. He gave me the address and said try logging in again. I thought - okay, I'll have some more fun with this idiot. I told him he was right, I was in the wrong site before, but now I'm in the right one. He asked what did I see. I told him I saw the inside of a C-130 cargo aircraft with a crew getting ready to shove out what looked like at least 100 crates filled with pigs. I told him he had better get out of the way before one of those crates fell through the roof and right on top of him. He didn't want to play any longer - he hung up on me - RUDE [***] CAMEL JOCK.

We have received 2 calls from this number telling us "there is a problem with our computer."  Nothing is wrong with the computer.  What is going on?  The call comes in as an "out of area" call.  The first caller said he worked for Microsoft.  The second caller did not state anything.  How can we stop this?  Is there a security risk for the my phone and computer?

Number showed up on our caller ID today. If this is for yellow pages, this is a residence; not a business. No message left on machine. Phone number seems odd...9876543210...count backwards from 9!
