called home and my cell. Left no message and I have not called back. Too scared to.

I had a buddy in Mexico that called serveral times, but I didn't answer becuase I didn't recognize the number. Turns out, like earlier posts, he was in Cancun on his cell.

i got a call from this number about 2 months ago. i dont know anyone in mexico who would have called me and when i called back it the machine said it was unavailable.

THIS IS DEFINITELY A CELL PHONE CALL FROM CANCUN MEXICO. ANY CELL PHONE WILL SHOW UP AS THIS NUMBER!

this just came through on the cell, ignored it because it looked dodgy.  After googling the number, gotta love that, found this site.  Don't know anyone in mexico, or anyone that would even go there!

Got a call from this number just now,and the guy asked"Who is it?"
Why he called my cellphone if he didn't know who I am,so I hung up right away.

Kids received a call from their dad who was on vacation in Mexico from this number.  Said he was calling from his wifes cell phone.

missed a couple of phone calls from this nr. Finally i picked up and it was my BF who is supposed to be in Hawaii ... I started googleing it and i found out this is an area code of Cancun, called back(011-52-998-106-9899) and i think it says `the number is busy , call later ` in Spanish ... i guess my BF is lying again ...thnx

I was curious also about this number, but after reading all of your comments it made me relax. I have a friend celebrating her birthday down in Mexico. When she's in California, this is the time that she'd usually call.  Shew!

My dad called from the Rivera Mia El Dorado Royale Spa and Resorts in Cancun Mexico, This is where the phone number is from. Been there myself and when we called home this is the number that came up

Like everybody else have said....it's a transfer number for somebody using a USA cell in Mexico. My friend was calling to congratulate me for my Horns beating his Cowboys.

Ho to do you stop this number from calling.

I got a call 3/12/09 from this # at 12:15pm PST and then it was follwed buy an unkown number at 12:16pm.  No mess. left.

I received a call from the 998-106-9899 number on 3/15/09.  I'm just curious if everyone that reported this number on this forum uses Sprint.  The call turned out to be my son just checking in from Mexico.

My recently separated wife who was "on a business trip to Miami". Didn't get any of my texts about our son and when I called I get the international ring tone. Miami....right...I thought so.

Got a call from this number a few times.  Just found out from this blog that it is from Mexico.  Busted my boyfriend with it!!  Guess he'll know I'm not freakin stupid

I got a call from this number today. It was my girlfriend calling from a cruise ship just off the coast of Mexico. She called from her own cell but this number came up.

Just received a call from the above number and nobody left a message. How do they get my cell number....

Its a calling card from Mexico.  You people who are getting weird calls all probably someone soaking up the sun and had a few too many margaritas...lol
