I got the same calls 3x, two of them the very same day. I asked them to delete our number from their database and then decided to do something about it. I called Toronto police fraud department and they confirmed it was a fraud. Officer suggested to report them to Phone busters which I did at: 1-888-495-8501 or online at www.recol.ca. Also I reported them to Better Business Bureaus at http://www.bbb.org/canada/.

If you are registered with National-Do-Not-Call list, they do not deal with this issues are will not do anything

These stupid [***] have been calling me every morning around 9:30am all last week, even over the damn weekend and this morning again on Monday. The first time a Jamaican woman called asking for my dad, taking about a ballot, I lied and said he's at work every day until 6pm. (he's got enough [***] to deal with) Since then this same Indian guy named 'Christopher' or 'William' has been calling every day and pissing me off. It's the same story as everyone's posted, 5 wicked prizes, 1510 Drew Road, Premium Club, trying to spread the word, WHEN CAN YOU COME WHEN CAN YOU COME etc...
I just keep hanging up on them, but I like to sleep in on my days off and they keep calling every day. Anyone know how to mess with these guys? They don't play the same rules as telemarketers over here, they won't take you off their list even if you're nice. I'm thinking since they're gonna call every day anyway, I should agree to come to their stinky seminar and not show up, maybe ask if I could bring my brothers and sisters and friends.

This is a Multi-level Marketing scheme. They want to waste your time and money trying to sell you vacation packages or crates of health/beauty products with promises of big big profits. They tell you all kinds of [***] stories about how you can quit your day job and make +$100,000 a year hocking junk to people that buy their shampoo and vitamin water from Walmart anyway.
Usually the guy in charge rents an expensive sports car and brags about how much money he's making every year, though he can't explain why he employs pushy telemarketers from India to desperately rope people into these seminars with the promise of fabulous prizes. (which you ain't gonna get, do you seriously think they're giving all this [***] away?)

I've expressed time and time again I'm not interested, so only in times where I'm continuously harassed do I start thinking about how to piss them off back. Time is money for them, which is why they rudely hang up on you when you threaten to report them, and put you on their 'call back' list so that their coworkers can continue to piss them off throughout the week. I'd recommend you keep them on the phone as long as possible asking them annoying questions, like act completely confused about how to find the address, maybe make them give you directions from Peterborough, then change it to London...
Or ask them in detail about the hotel package, 'do they offer a kocher meal? what floor is the room on? I hate heights!' or ask about the plasma screen tv, and if it has HD input, 'will it work with my xbox? does it work with my Sony speakers? is it 1080p or 720p? Is 1080p the same as 1080i?'
    Just act [***].

    This is the information I have found out;

The product belongs to :  Canadian universal Travel Gallery Inc.

Address:  1510 Drew Road, unit 36
    Telephone #  905 672-1059

Contacted them and spoke to a Betty who claims that the companies calling hired by them to sell their product.  They have no way of confirming which company is calling as they have contracted three such companies.
In our conversation it was apparent that she knows who is contacting everyone as her solution was 'just make the appointment and come to claim your prize', a Sales pitch right in the middle of a complaint!
She also went through the process of what they do...another sales pitch... what did the [***] not get?!?!?I am not interested.....

I got a call too. From an INdian guy pitching the same thing with the same address. I listened for a while; was transfered to another indian guy "manager" who required me to book an appointment at the 1510 Drew... address. It's nothing but a telemarketing scheme. I didn't bother setting up an appointment. Stinks of scam and telemarketing.

I have been receiving calls on this SCAM for 2 years now.  I even know which store in Bramelea City Center sold my name & phone number (the store has since closed).
I receive a call about once per month.  They have gone through 3 company names and various phone numbers BUT the call is always the same.  They have your name, address & phone number.  They insist that you have filled in a ballot at (name any major store - it keeps changing, today they asked if I remembered shopping at a grocery store in December 2009!!) They mention 5 prizes and the need to show up in person to "claim" them.  You then have to wait for a supervisor to give you a reference/claim number and the exact time & date to show up at Drew Rd (used to be a Woodbridge address).  Someone did go to the Woodbridge locations and reported back that he & his wife spent 3 hours, listening to a timeshare presentation and being heavily pressured to buy one immediately.

For today's call, I allowed him to give his spiel and then informed him that as of next week I will have a new address & phone number and did he want it?  I gave him the address & phone number for Peel Regional Police.  Wonder if they'll catch on???

    So Angry!
This afternoon was the second call I have received from the crazy guys with 5 prizes.  The first time the call came from 905-241-1032, today it was 905-241-1039.  This time I lost my temper as I had already asked the first time that I received the call that they take me off of whatever bogus list they are keeping.  Today the male I spoke with was extremely rude--got sick of talking to him--asked to speak with his manager only to be told that he was the manager so there was no on else to speak too.  I reported it to the CRTC, but not sure if anything can be done about it.
