I received 2 calls  right in a row on my cell phone from 999-999-9999. I did not answer. I am on the National Do Not Call List.

Holy crap im getting tired of this damn number i was amazed at the number of people who had asked this question :( is it part of a government reprogramming program where you put your ear on the phone and you hear this soft yet eerie beep or sound it's so damn creepy it always happens in the middle of the night or very early in the morning i don't even answer it anymore because of the thought that the government has something t do with it and might be targeting me and many others :( Just think when i get a phone call like this many hundreds or even thousands of people could be getting the same phone call at the same time it's so crazy i know but just think about it :( it's eerie

I get calls from this number at all hours at lest 2 times a day, caller hangs up when answered.

Received a call from 1-999-999-9999 today. Didn't answer and thet didn't lea?e a message. Phone is on the do not call list. Based on everybodys responses this is a scammer. It was reported this morning. What. To do?  Its as easy as this... Do not know who is calling - don't answer it!  Let it go to message. If you ever need to prosecute, you would have the recording.

Received a call from this # today and wasn't at home.
A msg. was left and it was from Waste Management who
collects my garbage, saying they would be a day late
collecting this week.
Strange that a company this big would have such a #.

They keep calling and then don't say anything.  Thy're creepy.  What kind of number is that anyway?  It seems so fake. We are on the No Call List.

I just got called by this number but didnt answer..
I just googled the number and found this site and I read alot of these concerns about who is calling and it seems to me that its a scam for people to pick up the call without knowing that the call will charge you a load of money on your phone bill.
Im going to stay on the safe side and continue not to pick up the call if they ever call again.
I suggest you all do the same if you cannot block the call.

I received a call from 999-999-9999.  One way to not bothered by it is to screen and block it as 9999999999 by "star 60" (Comcast).  At first I was wondering how to block a fictious number.  Just block 9999999999 exactly as it's stated.

I have been getting this call also, I am very upset that nothing can be done about it. Either someone has a lot of spare time on their hands to play on the phone 24/7, or the phone companies,telemarketers,or the government is doing a very GOOD job at annoying everyone. How do we stop this nonsense?

Me and my boyfriend got the same call, except he got his a year before me.
He told me about it and said that they left a voicemail on his phone and it was just static.
so when I looked at my caller ID last night I was surprised to see that number, I called to day and it rung like 3 times it sounded staticy and it just says to "leave my voice or a call back number" something like that.

This number was shown on caller I.D. no idea who they are.Couldn't understand why they couldn't use a number that would identify them

I have been receiving calls with the phone number on my caller ID of 999-999-9999. It says SUN LOAN COMPANY. What the call is from a organization that begs for money for the Indiana State Patrol. Unfortunately what ever money they get they get 85% and the State Patrol gets 15%.

Talk about Highway Robbery. This is it.

I called back this number that left a silent voicemail on my machine today. When I called, there was a ladies voice that I couldn't understand, and then the police came on! They must have re-directed my phone call or something like that.

They are wasting my time and need to stop playing games with me.

got three incomings last 2 days from 999-999-9999..using my minutes....how do I stop it?

My co-worker got a call fromt this # and a few minutes later so did I, no one said anything, hers was a hang up, mine was dead air

This call on my cell phone as a missed call. I called it back but it said it was not a working number. I put it on my call reject list.

The same happened to me as "Hayley" described above.

I called this number after it rang me but didn't give me enough time to answer it (only rang 2 times). I rang it, a weird womans voice said "Thank you for calling. We will now direct you to our source". There was then a bleeping sound and the police came on the phone! I had to apologise to them.

This is not acceptable. These people are pissing me off by re-directing my calls. Do they have nothing else to do other than play games with innocent people?!

I received a call from this number.  It was an automated call from someone nsmed Jenny who said she was calling from Verizon and offered 'Premium Tech Support' for my computer.  I don't subscribe to any computer services through Verizon.  I don't intend to answer when they call like this and am going to call Verizon to complain.
