- 9Call back gets a fax signal. Try sending a fax to the number telling them that they are calling a phone line not a fax line.
- 2I give up, who? Sorry that was snarky. Call back to the number gets, "The number you have dialed is not in service. Please check the number and dial again." That means it's spoofed, it's a scam, block it. Please take a minute to report it to your carrier as SPAM or SCAM likely whichever they permit....
- 7Even if it is a legitimate SS number, any number can be spoofed. Use the official published number for the SSA ( 1-800-772-1213) or the published number for your local office. Never give any personal or financial information to a company that calls you...initiate the call yourself. From Search...
- 1Call back gets, "Hello, thank you for calling. If you are interested in speaking to a representative to get an insurance quote, press 1. If you would like to be added to our do not call list, press 2." Never gave a name of the company but appears to be some sort of telemarketing for insurance.
- 54/23/2026 It's a complete scam, but you will be fooled because it 100% looks like it came from PayPal. You call the phone number and you will only be asked questions by an AI chat agent. You will never be connected to a live person who can explain the details about the alleged unclaimed property....
