this number was on my phone again today at 3;52 pm. Nobody said anything and I stayed on the phone telling them they were annoying as hell, they hung up on me approx three minutes later, I refused to hang up on them, I will start to record them next time, this is annoying and worry some for me and my daughter considering our situation at times, thanks ss

I got a call from phone number 000-000-0000 at 12:06 pm (ET) on February 3, 2010. This person did not bother to leave a message on my answer machine and the caller showed up on my caller ID as UNKNOWN NAME.

I just got a call from 000-000-0000 on my cell a second ago but it didn't ring, just vibrated even though my phone is on ring.. friggin weird right? Freaked me out a little bit at first then I realized it must have been telemarketers..How the hell did they get my cell number it's only been active for a week!

i want these calls which come every few hours, to stop!

Well I must say I am quite familiar with this problem. Here is what I suggest:
You get the call from either 1000000 or 0000000000.
Answer it.
Say, "Yes I am really interested in what you have to sell." "But I need to call you right back, which number can I call you on?" "Who am I speaking with?"
Write down the name and number given.
In my case it was Reggie and the number was: 1-829-563-2907
Immediately tell them "Put me on the do-not-call list". (Which won't happen)
Then call the 1800 number.
You will reach someone else from the company, NOT expecting your call!
Then instruct them very clearly and carefully, to put you on the do-not-call list, because you have their number and the name of the responsible employee. Explain to them that you now CAN press charges if it continues.
Perhaps call a few more times in the same manner if you feel so inclined.
This halted all calls from the 1000000 number immediately.
For those who can't get anyone to talk or just get hung up on, when answering, skip all the steps and just start by calling the number above. I KNOW they are A company that uses that caller-id-spoofed number, but they are probably not the only one.

What does it mean when the call from number is 000 000 0000

I have been receiving calls from 0000000000 for the past few days up to 3 times a day. after a call from tem yesterday i could not dial out or receive so had to contact my provider, the line then cleared, but then they rung again i didn't pick up

I answered this call today, the only time I received it, and a guy asked for Mr. or Mrs. me. I told him he had the wrong number and that was it. I could tell from the background noise that this was a room full of scammers cold calling people.

I got this and they left no message.

Some pointers:
 1. This is an invalid number.
 2. Most likely, they are hiding their real number because they are a scam.
 3. It could be a legitimate business that doesn't have their outgoing caller ID working,
      but I find it hard to see why a legitimate business would not at least leave a message,
      though you'd be shocked to find out how many businesses and political candidates lack such common sense.
 4. If they tell you who they are, don't believe them. If they are a scammer, of course they will lie.
 5. Just don't answer the phone for unidentified callers. Screen them with your answering machine.

I get plenty of them around election time.

I've gotten literally dozens of 000-000-0000 calls here in No. California. Caller ID says unknown name. There's never anyone on the line: robocalls.

LOTS OF CALLS FORM THIS NUMBER, EVERYTHING FROM A BLOOD GLUCOSE MONITOR SALES REP TO BILL COLLECTOR TO OFFERS TO LOWER INTEREST RATES TO MAGAZINE SALES REPS.  IF THESE PEOPLE CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO RUN THESE SCAMS JUST IMAGINE WHAT THEY COULD DO IF THEY PUT THEIR MIND TO A REAL JOB!
