I think 00000000000 is related to 01606010066, don't know how they mask the real phone number from 1471, but I also use BT 14258 service which I can use to block 10 numbers, when the service answers it tells me the real number. Shame I can only block 10 numbers.
I looks like some Debt company trying the usual scams.

A lot of people seem to be getting this number. I didnt get to my housephone on time & the ansaphone clicked on, surprise - no message but a pause, some back ground noise (call centre?) & then a hang up.

The same happened yesterday with a breezy "Hi its Carol from the vacations to Mexico and Cancun" I didnt wait for the rest of the speil and when I did 1471 it was a "do not have the callers number"

A previous poster on here "Angry Tim" noted that the 00 00 00 00 00 0 number was in fact 01606010066 somehow "disguised" Must be telemarketing. How annoying. I mean everyone has to earn their crust but take the hint & GO AWAY NO ONE WANTS WHAT YOURE OFFERING.

I got a voicemail left by someone using this cover. All that was on the voicemail was the song and i quote ,"What do you want from?"

In March 2011, I received a telephone call from a computer who says that they are an online pc company that had been monitoring my internet usage and computer. As my line was a silent line, I started to ask questions to this lady as to where she got my information from stating very specifically that my line was a silent line. She then told me it was Optus my service provider. I hung up and said I was not interested and called and also emailed Optus about this. All I received from Optus was an email reply that was forwarded to their internet department and that was the last I heard from them. Coincidentally, my internet connection was continually being disrupted. It was annoying since I work with laptops that I had to call Netgear who supplied the modem, then Optus then Netgear again until the problem was identified as coming from the line exchange not the router. I just received my bill from Optus regarding my internet and home phone. It showed a spike of usage during the period of April well above what I use over the past 5 years with Optus. I questioned Optus on the matter because I have a feeling that something is wrong as th events looked suspiciously as being linked.
Has anyone had the same issue because Optus claims that they did not provide any details of their clients to other third parties. The spike in usage happened during the weekends - when I am not at home but what is more concerning is what kind of information has been released and how can I take this further to ensure that our service providers do not release such information.

This is yet another number that has decided to start bothering me!! To stop any calls like this dial '14771' it's free and marks the call as a malicious call. I was recieving these calls 3/4 times a day for over a year until I read about this number posted by another user on this website, and i'm glad to say it seems to work! I was recieving calls from lots of different numbers, so it took me about a week to do it to every number, but they stopped for 5 months. But unfortunatley however these numbers get given to these pests seems to happen on a monthly basis now. But if I get the first call and see the number on here, I dial 14771 and wait until next month when it starts again. But at least one call a month is better than 3/4 a day!!! My advice would be to dial 14771 after each call you get, and to please pass this advice to anyone you can who may also be suffering. Mention it if you post a message on here for other numbers too.

These people have been calling at least once a week for the last 3 years, asking to speak to Mrs Snell or Mr Andrew Hill, neither of whom is known to me. They will not give the name of the company but say they are a debt management company. They and tell me they have got my number from a survey that I (or, presumably, Mrs Snell or Mr Hill) completed. I have asked them to remove my number from their database and they assure me they will do so but the calls continue. I have asked for their address and a contact number so that I can complain to their management but they will not give that information. All the callers sound Indian.
