why these people doing this?

I saw that my wife sent a message to the 6245 number I quickly looked at her phone and she said  I'll let you know xxxx. However I dont see on the Verizon bill where or when the message question was sent. Just her reply.  Any help would be appreciated.

I got a txt from this number the other day. It came across my phone as an "unverified sender" and I was unable to reply to it. I looked at my call log online today and it comes up as 0000006245. The txt said "your husband is talking to other women. He has another number so you won't know. I thought you should know. I'm a concerned friend." WTH?!?!? I called verizon and they said there is no way to find out where it came from. I read where someone posted that it was telemarketing type stuff so I dont believe that is the case after the txt I received.

I agree... the same issue here; they told me to change my phone number, but won't tell me who emails me. I can't keep my text messages blocked b/c of this person! What did you do? Block them all? What about our rights to have texts, etc. The perpetrator has "rights" not to be revealed... but how about us? I even went to the cops, they said that unless they threaten my life thru a text, they can't do anything about it. It sucks!

you can send anonymous text messages through certain sites.  there is no way to find out where they came from, and as long as they are not threatening, there is nothing you can do about it.

Well i have same problem, different # 0000075556?????????? anyone have an answer for this one? It appears on the text usage on my bill.  Is there ANY way to trace these?

When you sign up for verizon online to pay and view your bill you will notice a bunch of numbers  in the desc part. This isn't texts or emails. Its spyware and when they text a code to your phone you won't even see it but your phone will text back the location. Employers do this if there is a policy in which they pay a portion of the bill. Jealous lovers only need 45 second story install the background app that won't even show in settings under applications. You can find it either in you web market/blackberry app store or if they purchased a code online you won't find it. It will auger a random real number that the code wad texts to followed by a texts from your phone to their number which the stalker gets N alert they can view your location via their website for extra security for them. It doesn't even go off your phone number it goes off the imeid number so if you bought a used phone that wasn't a service provider refurbish then you need to either download the desktop software for your phone and sync it with computer,  download spyware remover,  if low tech flash your phone - your carrier can do this for free,  or replace it. The software is on the phone itself and will not follow your number. I know I bad it show on line plenty when I has sms spy on my husbands phone.

I too got a barrage of texts from this number but my phone never got the texts.  ONLY my bill shows hours of texting sent and received from my phone to this number.  1000s of texts in th emiddle of the night.

These messages on my account under my wife's phone number show up as 0000002653. It showed sent and received to her number fourteen times in 6 minutes.  I have been married over twenty years to the same woman in which we have a great relationship.  When i asked who she had been texting today she said no one other than you. Wth you know what is a man supposed to think. When i google the number 0000002653 is said yahoo Flickr which is a picture message app. I also found on here it may be something she subscribed too like some kind of alerts by why would she text back to an alert right?  I know she play the words with friends could this be how the chats come through at the bottom?  Any ideas? ???

This is a text message sent from the web (might be twitter).  For Verizon Wireless users, you can block these from your phone (or your child's phone) by going to My Verizon, Verizon Safeguards, Internet Spam blocking and check the boxes for:

x  block all text messages sent from the web
x  block all text messages sent from email

This is essential if you are trying to block someone from contacting your child.  Stalkers and predators resort to this after you block their phones.
