I'm in a relationship w/a very dishonest man too, so I've looked up these things too.  I know that those numbers (000000XXXX)are from computers b/c early in our relationship we would email back and forth, he from his phone and me from my computer.  This was always the way it was communicated onto my bill.  Now I no longer can use my computer for phone text so I've not sent any texts to him except from my phone.  He is still getting the 000000XXXX numbers on my phone bill and has signed up for numberous dating websites that I have the passwords for b/c he uses the same passwords and sends himself pics of girls to & from his phone, which is sent from his new accounts; giving me the new websites and usernames(he's just not very smart).  I just really wish there was a way to find out who these people are by the numbers.

I think Verizon sends the messages from 000-000-6245.  They get 20 cents from the people that don't have a text messaging plan and it is a selling point for the unlimited messaging plan.  As you can see.  It is a win-win situation for Verizon.  Not sure if it is legal or not but it is a money maker.  I just got off the phone with them.  It seems they would rather lose a few irritated customers than lose the income stream.

    Just Figured It Out
I don't know about other people's calls, but the these calls on my bill are from pages sent from my husband to me.  I was able to match up the pages to the time and date of these 6245 numbers. Unfortunately, it looks like these numbers can also be from many sources and this is just one.  I did call our cell phone carrier, Verizon, and they were no help at all! Good luck everyone!

I think these are IMs from chat forums... either pidgin or AIM or something like that... My daughter sends and receives a lot of these and they are not from one person... so 2-3 people could send a message all having the same number using one forum. Ours are all legitimate.

0000006245 on my husbands phone from where ?

    Beth
Some forum, like Pidgin or AIM or some chat forum... no way to know WHERE the other person is, as anyone can have an AIM acct.

To add one thing... if someone opens an AIM or Pigdin acct and has a user name... the USER name will show up in the phone, but the bill just shows a code number like this one... so the only way to know who is calling is to look at the phone and look at the user name, then look in the contacts of the phone for that user name... assuming it has been added.

Interesting, I just talked with Verizon about the 6 messages my wife's phone got from the number you are all talking about, and they credited our account for the $1.20. I had called a couple of weeks ago and asked to have the data/text block put on both of our phones and no problems or text's since. One thing to mention here is when they put the block on your line, if you choose to do so, their system is set up with 2 blocks, basic text/data, and premium text messages. What I was told is the basic block will stop ALL text and data, (side note here is that if you block data & text, you can't even get the free text from Verizon for your minutes used, or other account data that's sent via text/data.) Premium text messages are from 3rd party vendors. They run $9.99 per message and YOU pay for them when you get one. These are from companies that ask for your cell number for contest, notifications when you sign up for certain services and adds on TV. When you do give your number to these companies, you are giving them the number to send you text messages too and you don't always know it. I was told , by the Verizon customer service agent, that recently, the notices on TV were enlarged so they could be read easier, to let you know that if you called and provided your number/information, and are a Verizon customer, you will be charged $9.99 per message. She mentioned that Sprint and T-Mobil customers are charged $19.99 for their messages. Bottom line is this, some of these messages are from someone just messing with people and have nothing better to do in life. Other messages are from companies that you may have given your number to and they are using it for advertising, etc. All this said, if you don't want the messages, block them, if you can't do that because you need or use text/data, etc., pay for unlimited services, and lastly, if you don't want to block and don't want to pay extra for unlimited data/text, don't give your cell number to ANY company that may use it for marketing, etc. That's my story and I'm sticking to it...  :-) Good luck...

i keep getting texts (3 so far) from an email "asecret143@ymail.com" and "sadmirer143@ymail.com" the messages are supposedly a secret admirer and 2 of them had a fake call back number. i dont know what to do, they're sending me things like "i regret never asking you out. your so cute. i wish you could be mine" and "so cute, you need to be mine" also "your amazing. so beautiful. i wish i could hold you". they seems legitamite. but, i really wanna know if it's just spam so i can block it. someone help me? they all start out with (secret admirer) then the text.
