I'm in Sydney & have a TPG accouint/phone line.
Just had what sounded like an Indian woman call from this same number asking if I was Mr xxxxx. I asked who was calling & she hung up.
She had the family name correct so I can only assume that TPG has sold it customer list to someone......

its 5 times today they calling me nothing all blank i had enough i hang up on 5 time then i *65 then i hear voice saying hello hello i hang up then turn i turn on the fone the voice was there saying hello hello


i am going to speak to my phone company ask them to trace this number or something or block it.

Today they are calling themselves 'Online Marketing Professionals (om-p.com.au)'

Trying to sell Google ads and website constructions.

Had a call from this number today too.  Indian sounding lady on the other end telling me she was updating my business listing in some Melbourne business phone directly.  That's interesting, seeing as my business is in Sydney.  Anyway, she had all my business details and wanted me to confirm my busines trading name, street address, phone number and the business owner's name.  Asked her to tell me the company she was calling from, again, just said she was updating the business listing in the directory.  She asked me to again confirm all the business details, includine the name of the business owner.  When I told her I wasn't at liberty to confirm those details, she hung up on me.  How rude.

Female person told me she was calling from some company (couldn't understand what she said) and that she knew I was having problems with my computer.  I told her that I didn't have a computer (which I do) and she said, "Sorry, I must have the wrong phone number."  I told her where to go.

I've programmed that phone number into my phone with the caller name - Don't Answer.

Got a call from this number, turned out (upon letting it go to voicemail) that it was from Dell Logistics who wanted to confirm a delivery address.

I get the feeling they outsource such generic calls to a call centre who does marketing as well as this type of thing. The number they got me to call back was a local Sydney number.

So yes, it may be a telemarketer, but if you deal with Dell or some other company that dispatches goods, they may make calls for them as well.

It is a call from overseas from someone using voip landline .. completely legitimate !

which country code is, i received call fro 0011976000 but no response, what is this?

Whenever my Mum fro NZ calls me at work in Australia, that is the number that comes up (whether I answer or not) - not her number which is registered for number recognition on my phone. So I suspect it is just some re-direction system that either NZ or AUS must be using to transfer overseas calls, which would also explain the strange times that people seem to be getting these calls. ie.., it is probably innocent

Just got a call from this number. It was an Indian saying he was a Microsoft technician saying my computer had a virus. I told him I don't even own a computer so I don't know how they got my number. I told him that I know he is trying to scam and that I am on the do not call register so he shouldn't be calling me and he hung up.

funny this no appeared on my phone before never answered it. but today they rang again so decided to answer it and no one speaks at all but can hear background sound of ppl talking and motorbike sound.
so not sure where its coming from but obviously optus should know since i'm with them. surely they can trace the call.

Got a call from this number on the 23rd Nov in Brisbane, it was the Indian "your computer has a virus" scammers. Everyone that I know has been called more than once by these [***].
The scammers must be going through the White Pages directory, that's probably how they knew my name and phone No..

looks like a lot of people are getting these calls. im in melbourne and get these calls at very inappropriate times!!! i say hello, but no one seems to answer... sounds like they are from india reading this forum?

does anyone know how you can stop this in-coming number?! *please post*

I received a call from this number a few days ago and they left an unclear message on answering machine. Basically sounded like a woman possibly a man saying someone's name. I have relatives overseas but I could not make out this person. All my overseas calls always appear as 'Private' on caller ID. My service provider is Optus.

Am in Qld, got a call at 9:38pm, 14/12 The call dropped out, they rang back and i missed it and got a text message with number, rang it and it said insufficient numbers or you are missing the country code....


Am with Optus Mobile

How do I stop these [***]????
