I just got a call from this 0011976000 number and he was telling me that he is from Virtual IT company in Adeliade!  I am with Optus too! I wish they would leave us the heck alone!

i recieved a call from a blocked number trying to say i have viruses on my computer and its a new computer. they told me to go online and type in a 6 digit code at a website called logmein123.com and i then started to abuse the indian women about trying to scam me and she then put me onto a male who asked what was wrong and i abused him and THEN he started swearing at me and i told him what i thought of him and his scaming then call ended. 20 minutes passed then this 0011976000 number rang and hung up after 2 seconds!

Oh my god,we got the same 'virus' call that you got qwerty, told them we were 2 busy & since then have got heaps of these calls from that number,all dropping out in a couple of seconds. Is this a scam?

I have received since last year 17 of this calls from 0011976000 but no one talk to me. except for today when a woman talk to me 40 seconds after I keep saying who was on the phone. She knew my Surname but when I keep asking her who she was she hung up. Pity that Jack the Ripper is not around these days because I want those Mo*** F**** to stop calling me specially when I am on the middle of Masturbating myself. Why do they call just when I am Mastubating? People have a life so  stop calling 0011976000 or I will force to swallow my cream through your nose. Damn It just stop already bothering me. 17 calls is Enough. I am turning into Jack The Ripper.

Just got a call on my land line from 0011976000 from an Indian gentleman who said he was from my computer support company and they are aware that my laptop is running slowly when trying to load internet pages.

As soon as I said my home number was on the do not call list & he was breaching Australian consumer law he hung up. I'm with Optus and bought my HP laptop a few months through Harvey Norman via Flexerent - are one of these buggers selling contact details?

I sell welders for a living and these scammers call to sell me computer repair services. They were not very convincing.

I get calls continuously from this number - sometimes 3 or more times a day - I don't answer as there is never anyone there (it goes to the answering machine) . It's driving me nuts - and we're being charged extra calls on our phone bill and I wonder if it is connected....like is it possible they are charging the receiver upon answering?

I verified my listing on Gumtree and this number called me back with my verification code, what a great service no other problems with this number calling me before on my VoIP service

I got several calls from this number in the middle of the night.  Calls started from 11.58 pm through to about 1.30 am.  Not impressed at all.  It woke my son up also.  I am in Perth Australia. There was no answer when I picked up the call, just some buzzing everytime.

FYI

Logmein is a remote access.  They were trying to get you to permit then to access your computer.  We use logmein at work for our IT guys to access pc's when we have issues.

Unbelievable.  And they wonder why we are so rude when they ring.

I am also IT literate and kept them on the phone pretending to be a silly old lady. Now they hear the voice and hang up. Try them at their own game, time is money and keep them going for as long as possible.

I'm in Adelaide South Australia and just got a call from 0011976000 but didn't pick it up being an odd number.

I got a call from phone no. 0011976000 and was about my computer but nothing wrong with said computer. This is 4th time this has happened . Will not tell me name of company

just got a call from this number one person talked to me saying that i have won $7000 and immidietly i understood this must be hackers so i hanged up the phone. [***]

I got 2 phone calls from 0011976000 to day and it went to my message bank they said hello then my name its peter then that is all that is on the message

I have had this number come in a few times at our work. - We have caller ID, so as soon as I saw the No. I knew I was in for a laugh !!!
This time, the Indian guy said he was from "The Money Experts" - an agent or division of the Taxation dept. - I questioned him, is he in the Parramatta office, or Liverpool - and he avoided answering me.
He claimed that we had overpaid our taxes and we were due to get $3647 back in credit - could you please give me your Name & address ?? - I said - "Well you should already know who I am, what the address is etc".  He kept persisting, and then I said "I know you're calling from India, and you're a scammer !!" - he eventually cracked, and started cursing and swearing down the line at me. - I was laughing at him and then hung up on him.
Surely ASIO could send in a stealth squad to sort these dodgey scammers !!!!
