This number is extremely irritating! for the past 2 weeks it has been calling and hanging up everytime i answer only to call me straight back. I spoke to BT about it and they said that they cannot do anything as they do not have the equiptment... very helpful!
They did say that the number allocates a certain area to its employees and after about 3 weeks will allocate a different area for them to bug.. I just wish that someone would talk to me so i could tell them to fcuk off!! lol.. irritating though!!!

CRC Research (formerly the Consumer Research Centre) has been informed by a number of individuals that they have been receiving calls from an agency that identifies themselves as the ‘Consumer Research Centre.’ These calls are coming from overseas and are primarily targeting individuals in the United Kingdom.

CRC Research is asking any person who has been a target of calls to understand that we are not responsible for the hang-ups and consistent harassment that many have experienced. We are a Canadian company and a Gold Seal Certified member of the Market Research and Intelligence Association.  This is a professional organization whose members are committed to the highest ethical standards and specifically to a Respondent Charter of Rights.

These calls are not coming from our company “Consumer Research Centre” which is based in Vancouver, BC Canada. We are a market research company who recruits solely in Canada and the United States. We do not make calls to the UK nor do we hire outside market research companies to represent us to do so.

We suspect that this other company is attempting to sell people something and only pretending to do a survey.  Bona fide market research companies recognize that it is a privilege to collect information from the public and we go to great lengths to ensure that our staff are fully trained and that they treat people with courtesy and respect at all times.

So im guessing its not the consumer research center and is in fact as we all thought.. a scam.. have reported to ofcom doubt they'll do anything but if we all report it they should!

Two calls a day from 002135371000. Call terminated as soon as I answer.

Like every one above i'm now getting call's from this number and their hanging up once you have answered all a bit odd BT's advise is not to call back.

Hangsup when call is answered

We have been called by this number for about two weeks,a few times a day non stop.It is extremely irritating as they never answer.

yep, we are getting 2/3 calls a day, same sketch answer line disconnects.

We have had about six calls from this number. There is no-one on the line and the caller hangs up after a couple of seconds.

had a spate of 'unavailable' and 'withheld' numbers and now getting calls from this number - not sure if all same people as don't answer any number withheld, 0800/0844 or 0845 or that i don't recognise - just wish BT would hurry up and be able to block these incesant calls that normally come from call centres abroad - which they have advised me they have no way of stopping - electronic harrassment!!!

Just had the call (04.02.2010. at 1900hrs). Line when dead when I answered. Will try and get to it quickly and find out who their sponsors are!!

4 calls today, all silent, there has to be a way to stop this nonsense

yet more calls from this number - keep answering but no one speaks - surely someone can put a stop to these calls - if an elderley person got these calls i'm sure they would be petrified!!!!!

I work for a broadband company and I've just received a call from my place of work from a customer of ours who has received calls from this number. Same as above, when she answers no one's there. Sheffield residence also.

Received a call this evening 002135371000.  When they call if you keep pressing the #key it upsets them and I understand their system.

I was called on 15th February 2010 at 12:01 pm, although I answered promptly, the line went dead immediately.

Its possible that it was an auto dialer. However, can anyone check whether this type of number is a Scumbag premium number like 0870 & 0871 are in the UK  etc?

three calls today - I didn't answer any of them as I am fed up of all these unwanted calls. I also am on BT Telephone Preference Service ahich seemsto be a waste of time. Why can't BT do something about it?

Had daily calls from this number in the past week or so.  I was in when they called this morning but the line went dead - another call centre with automatic dialling I guess.  A nuisance!
