You need to get hold of a TrueCall answer device - mine is brilliant. There's usually a couple on eBay.

Please, please stop these calls it is worrying my 90 year old father tremendously.  His great-grandchild is in hospital and he keeps thinking the calls are about that.!!!!

the law should be changed you should have a right to know who is trying to contact you it is stupid that this isn`t law now

Yes it's profoundly irritating! I have had several calls from this number, 002135371000, where the line goes dead the minute I answer it. Today I had an oriental sounding lady who when I asked, told me she was not selling me anything. 'Is it a survey?' I asked. 'Because if so, I am on the list of people for you not to call. Please could you remove me from your list.' Click, durrrrrr! She hung up. I am an avid competition enterer, though I always try to tick or untick the relevant boxes which state if I wish to be contacted by the sponsor of the competiton or other marketing companies.

I have just added a comment to another message re this number. I have had many silent calls from it and today an oriental sounding lady who said she wasn't selling me anything. I asked her to delete me from her list. I really have had enough of all this persistent calling. I shall just let my answering machine do the work from now on.

Who is it and how do we stop it?

At my parents and have had a lot of nuesence calls in only one day. This number has called twice and rang off each time... how irritating. Thing is some may think they have a stalker with thi behaviour or that someone is scanning the house to see if people are home. I wonder how these companys got my mothers number.

I had a call from this number on 18/06/2010. When I answered there was nothing; no human, no dialing tone, no background noise.  Dialing back gets 'the number you have dialed has not been recognised'.

This number rang 4 times today, it's REALLY annoying and I can't believe BT will do nothing

It really p's me off that BT advise you to ignore the call or pick it up and not answer - I bought my phone and pay for phone line so that I can COMMUNICATE with people and they with me. But I end up not answering it because it might be a junk call - so then it's the junk callers who are calling the shots while I'm the one paying for a service I can't use properly.

And it's shocking all the people on here with relatives in hospital, kids at school etc who panic every time the phone rings in case there's something wrong then it just turns out to be one of these scumbags.

BT and the rest - you need take notice and do something about it. As someone already said on here, if you pay £10 a quarter suddenly they are able to bar national and INTERNATIONAL calls to your home. So why can't they do it free for everyone when you report it as a junk number?

being bugged by these people a couple of times a day at present.  I just dont answer now and they never leave a message  - hopefully they will give up eventually. Its just so annoying to have to keep going to the phone to read the caller ID as them as I do have better things to do with my life!!

Algeria stikes again. Have had several calls, once answered it goes dead. Now I know it ignore or if it rings just press the red button! I am also Ex-Directory.
