- JohnJust had a call from this mike cunningham who is grade A dick! He was just rude and went through the same stuff that everyone has posted demanding to speak to the MD and coming accross really aggressive because he couldnt be put through.
Steer well clear of this lot!- Caller: publicservice.co.uk
- TWGReceived a call from Mike Cunningham from PCSA International claiming to have an HR project that he wanted to speak to our MD about...........thought a very pushy approach coupled with a posh voice would get though but as soon as I managed to get his company name out of him the alarm bells started to ring........they are constantly calling despite our requests not and being registered on the TPS! Again the number was 0121 4563336

- Dave Hunsdale replies to D. Honour| 4 repliesThese guys rang me yesteday.
Agent: Oliver Hamilton: His mission: He was one man, alone, tasked with bringing the third sector and the health sector together for the good of the UK!
I was on the phone for two hours after being led to believe it was a government official dealing with organizations from our particular area of the third sector (Health and Fitness). About 100 questions later, I finally got the sales pitch, which to be honest came completely out of the blue! £3000 for 5 tickets to their event and our company brochure put into the laptop ag of 250 'senior government delegates'. Up until this point he'd made it sound like we were being invited to deliver a speech on the work we do.
Understandably, for a small not-for-profit organization, I said "No!" Explaining to young Oliver, that for that sort of money we could run a city centre based fitness project for a year.
That's when the pushy sales approach came in, with the statement " I will have to tell the government management team that you do not want to be part of the solution they are trying to create"
Very cheeky, very pushy and after wasting two hours of my time I got pretty angry and then little Oliver finished the call quickly, once I voiced my opinions on what he was doing and how he was doing it!!
Quite simply this is hard sales and don't listen to the fluff, end the call as soon as you can (unless you have 2/3k you want to throw away... - Sid Aslan-LMS12 June 2010 Just been asked to give a master class at a Lean Government 2010 event at the BARBICAN 23RD SEPTEMBER this year. - project managerAmazed at the brashness of this company. Had a message left for me yesterday from Karen at PCSA 'about the meeting we have next week'. Received another call today from her, she managed to get round our gatekeeper who is pretty good at stopping unsolicited sales calls by saying 'we met last week'.
She started the conversation with 'we haven't spoken before' and launched into a series of questions about our company. Having googled the number yesterday I was aware this was going to end in a sales pitch so was quite blunt with her asking what she wanted. Very aggressive sales woman, quite insulting, put the phone down on her in the end.
I so hate time wasters like this.- Caller: PCSA

- Vec01This guy has been calling our company on and off for the past year from PSCA - he is the rudest and most ignorant man i have ever met - trying to tell US how we advertise etc! He would not tell me anything about their business just demanded information about our business and tried to tell US what we were selling (which was totally incorrect by the way).
He tries to patronise, unnerve and intimidate you and is a complete bully.
DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! - RossI have had quite a number of calls from PCSA claiming to offer government opportunities. I have always ended the call. Yesterday my business partner had a fall out with a very pushy woman on the phone. We have now registered our company numbers with the Corporate Telephone Preference Service. That means if (when) they continue to call they are in breach of Data Protection and we can complain to the Telephone Preference Service first and, if that brings no joy, to the Information Commissioner - http://www.ico.gov.uk/complaints/privacy_and_electronic_communications.aspx
That should stop them.- Caller: PCSA

- VEC01Surprise Surprise...yet again today i have had a call from Mike Cunnigham at PCSA. I told him that i have spoken to him before and have asked him to stop calling at which point he told me that he had never called before!! What lies!
He continued to try and talk over me until at which point i mentioned i had read all about him and his company on the internet and read all of the complaints about them....surprise surprise he hung up the phone.....
complete and utter scare tactic marketing. These are not nice people. I have now told all our staff to simply cut off the call if anyone from PCSA ring again.
And as for getting any money out of us they can go jump.....i am surprised that ANYONE EVER would do business with these people...they are sooooo RUDE.- Caller: PCSA International
- uggghhhhhh!Yet another call from this dreadful organisation. They can waste hours of your time if you are not wary. It will cost thousands if you fall for their sales pitch. They mislead people with their claim to be representing government. DO NOT FALL FOR IT.

- Anon| 1 replyI too have just had to endure a telephone call from the so-called Mike Cunningham, who was rude, pushy and all the other epithets which have been used in the other messages quoted. The information he gave me was untrue, so my advise is: terminate any telephone call you have from him immediately.

- SimonI have been swapping e-mails with Gordon Warrender who heads this company. I am staggered that there are so many other folk who have taken the time to express their dissatisfaction with his business.
We have been phoned many times after advising Warrender that our company should be removed from his lists. He provides categoric assurances and then ignores them. His staff write him illiterate e-mails which he forwards on.
I have now taken on the responsibility of doing all that I can to get the authorities to recognise the antics of this business. My hope is that severe sanctions can be imposed because although Warrender is smart, and remarkably arrogant, his business has to comply with the laws of the land.
If you would like to contribute towards this action, please contact slowmo45TR@yahoo.com.- Caller: PSCA
- Director of PSCA| 4 repliesMany of these postings are from genuine businesses that have been called too often after having been asked to be put on a manual suppression list. Unfortunately, this list only works when used correctly. In order to counteract the problem of employees not using the list properly, the company is now about to invest in number suppression technology which will completely remove this issue and bar the phone system from calling listed numbers. However, there are many postings on this site that are distasteful, malicious, unfair and untrue written obviously by people who clearly believe it is ok to leave personal insults. These people are rude, unprofessional and it is their aim to harm PSCA as a business and gain personally as a result because they work in rival organisations. We know who these people are and the companies involved, we will not lower ouselves to their level. If this site was credible, it would not allow posts of this nature and bar the offending IP addresses from posting again in the future. Unfortunately it is not. Any future postings of this nature say more about the person leaving the comment than it does about us, whilst there is undoubtedly a problem with call suppression we need to address, it also says that we are getting many things right if other publishing and events companies and individuals within those companies continue to be obsessed by us. If you have a genuine concern and wish to be added to the list, email donotcall@publicservice.co.uk and your request will be actioned.
- SimonI am pretty sure that the above post was written by Wendy Wood, the Chief Operating Officer at PSCA.
It might interest you to know that Ms Wood included the following sentence in an e-mail that she sent to me on the 22nd September:
We are an aggressive sales organisation, selling advertising and sponsorship is not an easy business and some companies will not appreciate being sold to forcefully but we do not and will not apologise for taking our business very seriously.
I have done my best to explain to Ms Wood that an order should be the natural outcome of a sales negotiation since there are mutual benefits. I am not certain she understood. Nonetheless, she did seek to impress on me the quality of PSCA products, bizarrely by telling me that:
To put this into perspective and get it into context, our sales team consists of the following:
70 people making 50 calls per day = 3500 per day
5 days = 17500 calls per week
In addition, our marketing team send out over 250,000 emails every day
To my mind, this simply tells me that the products are probably dreadful because there must be plenty of companies telling them 'no', many repeatedly. Their turnover is modest and the latest set of accounts comes with a cautionary note from the auditor questioning their ability to continue operating as a going concern.
