Just had a call with this CLI, again he said they had spotted a virus on my PC and could fix it. PC i am using it connected to a large corporate WAN, obviously he was talking utter s****.

Wish i had played on a bit with now to see what configuration info he wanted to attempt to hack in to it

i got a call today from this number saying that microsoft have asked them to call me.they said i have downloaded a virus to my pc and asked me to sit in front of my pc.becuse i know alot about pcs i did not do this and had ago at them becuse i said i dont beleve you becuse you would not know i had a virus unless you was in front of my pc.she then said your on internet explorer 7 and im on explorer 9 so she gave herself away.when i told her shes trying to scam me she got snoty with me and put the phone down...to know someones downloaded a virus to there pc you would have tyo be at there pc and also we have 3pcs running she never said what pc could be any.im not stuped i know how crooks work.id love a job catching these ppl out becuse i know when things are a scam..

I answered a call from this number. The man on the other end said "I am from computer services, are you the registered owner of the computer in your house?" The transmission delay would suggest that it is a call from abroad as would the caller's accent. Sounds like a scam.

0123456789 - Usually an Asian voice saying something about your compter not working properly.
Then offers to take over your computer to solve all your problems. Mensions Microsoft and Windows to suggest he is replying to your call for help.  Pretends sort out your computer, then trys to sell you some sort of programme to put things right.
Well known scam around the country.  Local radio often deal with this subject. Some Trading Standars offices all so know of this scam.  Do not part with money.

I had a call from this number today, claimed it was from windows support, and said there was a problem with my computer, when i questioned the validity of the caller, they went very quiet, and told me to turn my computer off !!!

just had the number 0123456789 call my landline i answered it and it was a man overseas and it was asking me about a laptop saying i had asked them to call me. he then asked for the model and the number on the bottom and my name  when i said i dont have a laptop i have a imac he hanged up

I have now received five calls from what sounds like an Indian call centre, from different people every time, claiming I am having problems with my computer. They are after someone with a different surname; they give the wrong post code - & they claim to be a technical company working for microsoft calling as part of a contract to sort out reported problems with my computer, whuch will be done for free because I am a microsoft customer. They will not be told they are talking to the wrong person, even though the name and address they quote are not mine, and they want access to my computer so they can give me some code to make it better because it has a virus. When I ask to speak to the manager they hang up on me. Five times in the past four days.

I have had 5 calls from this number, telling me I have a serious virus on my computer.  The first 4 calls I was very rude to the caller.  The 5th, I asked, "How do you know I have a computer?"  Strange I've not heard again after the caller ended it.

Not having caller display since our recent house move my son answered the phone and I've just had a phone call from a foreign sounding chap who said he was from 247pccare/24sevenpccare. Apparently my computer running windows 7 is infecting other computers everytime I use. I asked him what it was he was hoping to do and apparently he can fix the problem remotely and could I go to my pc and log on. I asked him how he had got my phone number, which he ignored, and when I said that I have an imac the line went dead. I've since 1471 the last number and 0123456789 is what I get as well as googled the company. I'm not an expert at all on computers, but as our number is ex directory knew from the start it was a scam.

She then asked me to go to my computer now' I said no because my son was doing homework, She said it was urgent I sit in front of my computer then asked when she could call back. I told her I have anti-virus package and my computer was absolutely fine. She then put phone down so glad I looked this up very dodgy number.

I new it was a scam, so had him hanging on for 25 M7A9mins saying I have trouble booting up,he told me not to worry and that he would fix it.So I kept him hanging on saying I was checking wires and keeping rebooting. Eventually said sorry I have to go and if he phones back later I will try again. maybe have him hanging on for 30 mins next time

I just recieved a phone call from this number (0123456789). It was a man of middle eastern ethnic origin, possibly indian, swaying that he was from Microsoft 24/7, and then told me that my computer has been infected with a virus. I said it had been working fine, no issues what-so-ever! He then asked me how long it takes to turn on my computer, to which he said the AVERAGE POWER UP TIME was 10-15 SECONDS, this, quite frankly, is B.S. He then asked me to right click on "Computer" and then click on "Manage". He then asked me to click on the event viewer to which he then asked me what options I could see. At this point I knew it wasn't a genuine call because when I refused to tell him any info and also asked him what he wanted me to click on he just asked the question "What options can you see?" so I asked him again and he just didn't say anything. I then said very politely to him that I beleived that the call was not genuine and I would be hanging up the call. This number has also called my girlfriend when I have been out and doing the heavy breathing thing. I have no idea what scam they are pulling but its horrible, the breathing call really frightened my partner and this phone call has now worried me. In hindsight I sould not of talked for so long or even folled any of his directions. My advice would be to IGNORE THIS MAN, SEND HIM TO PRISON FOR HARASSMENT!

had a call from this number yesterday. After struggling to say my name he said " I call about your computer". I said my computer is fine thankyou and the line went silent so I hung up. Registering with TPS does not seem to work as I am getting lots of cold calls despite being registered.

They called me earlier but no one replied. Can't wait for them to call back - I'm an online security journalist :D
