- Rick replies to zimbezeHaving had a few missed calls from these folk check on here - thanks for posting as when the just called, I had an idea what I was in for.
The guy (Asian accent) said he was from IT support and was calling to fix my pc. What ensued was, for a laugh, me dragging the call out for 8 minutes - told him I was glad he called, asked him if he wanted to be my friend, got him to repeat his instructions numerous times ("please go to the website ammyy.com") told him it wasn't loading etc (no, I didn't actually follow any instructions).
When he started loosing the plot I thanked him for responding to my request for assistance and asked him to keep trying. I couldn't keep this going as was trying not to laugh at him
Probably haven't done myself any favours as they know I answered, but if my wasting his time stopped him hassling others for a bit, that fine for me ;0)
Please note the quoted site "ammyy.com" is a scam - have a google for it.

- AmabitisHad a call today from an Indian sounding chap representing Kingfisher Telecom pffering to reduce my telecom costs from £50 per month to £15 AND guaranteeing NEVER to increase the charge!

He never called back. Stay aware!- Caller: Kingfisher Telecom
- amabitis replies to Anony Mouse ☺What these people will do is ask you to open up your computer, enter a number they will give you. This allows them remote access to your computer. While they are talking to you, they will be downloading the entire contents of your hard drive - every single file you have! Bank details, passwords, the lot.
Just put the phone down. - dazgot a call today on my missed calls it was +123456789 hope they ring back to abuse them a bit
