Recieved a call to-day, 4/11/11 at 10:40 a Pakistaki / Indian voice started to tell me a virus had been detected on my computer whilst I was online, at that point I put the phone down amd let the speaker ramble on.

I've been getting a call from this number for few days now have'nt answered and thanks to this site i won't be

Well it has happened to me 3 x today to my mobile for the first time and already it's annoying me as I'm very busy and use my iPhone alot whereas it's interrupted my on screen content. When I answer everytime it's a hang-up.... Pointless! !  I'm not going to answer again. The call shows Salem, Ohio!!
Any ideas?

I had this number phone me every other day for 4 weeks claiming they were windows and someone was trying to access my computer and i just had to follow a few simple steps to stop them. everytime they called i,d just hang up, and i got so peed off with them i changed my number, i,d love to meet them because there wouldn't be much talking going on, its frightening because there are people out there who would just panic and give these scammers the right away into they're computer and personal details.

Got the call but no sound from the other end. Whoever it was, hung up after that. I dont think this was the last call to me.

Had the 0123456789 call this morning from an Asian sounding chap telling me my computer was full of a virus and they would fix it for me. Being bored I let him get me to the point where I have to put in a PIN to allow them remote access to my computer then started asking awkward questions. Asked where they were from and he said Manchester, so asked for address and post code, he must have made one up as I asked him to repeat it and he couldn't but said he would ring back, he hasn't......  Wasted 25 minutes of his time whilst I was ironing :-)

This number is calling me around 12 times a day now but they hang up if I answer! How can I trace this call?

this number calls me every friday afternoon continusly tried answering but it sounds like a fax noise i cant block it or anything , o2 have said the only way to get rid is by changing my number.

[***] up with the 0123456789. They asked me if I wanted to loan money. [***] please.

I have had 8 calls within 15minutes and when you have someone elderly and ill to look after its no joke!!!!!

since yesterday we have been getting calls from this 0123456789 as well as 02392943753, 02392938688, 0232986688. 02081440041, 02087599577 - the last ones all leave a message saying it is a text from 00447401571023 but the messages they leave do not male any sense.

I contacted Virgin (my phone provider) who gave me a number which is supposed tobar my phone from receiving text messages but we have had at least another 20 since then.   On Wednesday night we even got one call at half past midnight - so we now unplug the phones when we go to bed, not the best situation but at least we know we're not going to get a broken sleep!

So far this morning I have had another 2 calls - compared with yesterday when I had 9 in 20 minutes it seems to be easing off a bit but it is still darned annoying
