My wife is now nervous when answering the house phone, after recieving calls from this number
at various times of the day .No one  replies when she speaks .To compound the problem  -we are ex directory
I dont understand how this  works , surely there must be ameans of tracing this faceless coward??

We have had several calls from this number in the last couple of hours.  How do we stop them?

Just got 2 missed calls from 0123456789 and on the third I answered , it was a autated message from bright house.

Got a call from this number. When I phone back it says lines are busy.

I received a call today from 01234 56789 at 13.04
They left a message I am sure I heard a male say xxtch
And then an automated message
to stop the call ring 08450990999chest36916Which I am obviously not going to call by an automated
From previous reports it is someone on Skype.

I got a missed call from 0123456789. I wonder who is calling me. and when  I tried calling the number its just a busy tone. and my cellphone got hanged.

0123456789 just called, a very suspicious number so didn't answer.

If these are scams how can the make money by doing this?
I seriously think these are bots that register what number are legit and worthy for the next scammer to call you or us. They'll send out thousands of outgoing calls at once and what ver picks up is live bait

Beware of any computer scams or bank scams. banks DO NOT call to arrange reallocating funds to spot check their tellers.
Microsoft does not call it users to check their computers.

Telemarketing has gone by the way of to do-do bird. If you get any silly calls, simply hang up. they're crafty and scammy.

make sure that seniors close to you are aware and understand what these scams are.  I hear too many stories of seniors with Alzheimer's getting caught up in scams and the poor unsuspecting senior does not realize they're under attack

I picked up the phone and the person sounded like a lady with a deep voice and I asked if they was wanting to talk to one of my friend and gave his name thinking it was important and they said that its a random person that wonts to talk to him and now I'm worried some one please help.

If you stop and take a breath, it will help.      Check out the previous posts in this thread and you will realise that no help is needed.
