This number is driving me mad-calls several times a day......no one speaks.....just hear a click and a continuous tone.........please tell me how to stop it!

We are receiving calls from this number daily. Extremely annoying especially when expecting genuine call, response to enquiry etc. There is silence no one has ever given reason for ringing. It is of course unobtainable on dialling.

I received 9 calls from this number over an hour time, I finally picked up and only heard background noise and then they would hang up . They called again and I couldn't understand the woman and she hung up and ten minutes later I received another call from this number. I finally got tired of getting calls on my cell phone while I was at work and blocked the number .
