I got a call from these F'ers today.  They said they were technical support for Microsoft. Calling from Auckland, was Indian, company based in Florida.  Kept telling me I needed to start my computer & get rid of malicious files - more like malicious friken callers lol

Indian lady called saying she is from windows secure dept and said my computer is repoting error messages.When i said i know what they are playing at she hurled abuse at me , NICE! lol definite hackers/scammers.

They called again today, This time I answered and an asian man asked for me by my first name. I asked what he wanted and was told it was about my computer. I asked who he was and he said Nordeye or something like that. Before he could start his blag I asked why their number comes up as unobtainable when I have tried to ring back. He said it was because they were calling from the internet. I immediately started to tell him to delete me from whatever records they have and he hung up on me. The cheek of him, I wanted to cut him off ha ha. Obviously a scam so ignore them or tell them where to go.

Just had a call from this number. No one there, as they had just hung up at being asked by my TrueCall box for the caller's name. I have now added this number to our TrueCall "Blocked" list. If they call again, my phone will not even ring. It's the best way of cutting down these pests.

This number called us at 4.30 am this morning.  I didn't get a chance to find out who was phoning as I was still pretty much asleep.

I was just called by this number. On answering an indian speaking chap said he worked for some internet error problem company and my computer had sent them 3000 error messages this morning which i thought rather crap because it wasn't turned on!!!!!
So I played the game with him pretending it was turned and he said he would show me the errors by navigating through the screens, which pretended to do and he told me what i was looking for. So i agreed with graet joy he was right just to keep him going to get to the catch and he eventually said my computer was so bady virused it would cost me for them to fix it at the other end and i could give them my card details and a fixed price would be deducted to sort the problem out!!!!
So at that point I told him exactly where to go (in so many words) and where to stick the bloody errors they had found this morning because if they had managed to do that then he would earn more money on the stage as a magic act!!!!  Obviously, he rang off in a hurry!!
Clever little [***] man but not as clever as I am!!

This number seems a scam

01234567890 called tonight, nobody spoke so just hung up. Who do I report this to?

hi i got 2 calls this mornin from this 01234567890 i missed the 1st call but got the 2nd,,a asian/indian man said he was frm a engineer department which can see that im (suppossed) to have downloaded wot ever and my computer is full of errors...i asked were he got this info bout my computer he said he can see it in office and there ringing me to help me sort it  out before my computer crashes,,,he sais go sit at your computer and turn it on,,,,i said no,,and he said go sit and turn comptuer on,,,i hung up the fone and he called straight back again which i rejected the call,,,further couple hours later i received another 2 calls which i did not answer,,so i thought they gave up...NO CHANCE  here another 2calls this time from a asian type women said more less the same there were errors on my computer and said go turn compuer on to fix my errors for me,,, i told her i dont have one so she hung up on me,...   this was obvious this was a scam wen the woman hung upwen i said id no computer,,,,id say if id done what she wanted me she probably  would of got info of my passwords and bank details on mine,,,,dont give out any info to anyone on the fone,,just because they say there from this company or that company,,there are alot of scammers about,

I've had about 9 calls in the past few days. Will contact my mobile provider and et them to bar the number

Firstly I will get it barred by mobile provider and if that dont stop the calls i shall get a very lolud whistle and burst someones ear drums when they call again.

I just had a call from 01234567890 no one there same as what most people seem to have experienced.
Not sure if it was 01234567890 but a person claiming to be a computer engineer has called my mum and 80 year old Nan this week. My Nanna gave me a giggle they said they were calling about windows Nanna explained quiet politely that she didn't need her windows replacing or cleaned LMAO so they had to explain that it was to do with computers it was at that point Nanna hung up lol. Not really funny though conning gits trying to con old people like that. The one who rang my Mum met his match as my husband answered and lead him round the houses for quite some time before unpolietly telling him to get lost.

Had call today from 01234567890. So amazed by the number on the phone's display, I didn't manage to answer it before the caller rang off. Maybe next time I'll be a bit quicker. After reading all the comments about this number being a scam, I'm not sure whether to play along with them for a bit.

i have recently changed phone and broadband suppliers from the post office to talk talk and am now getting 2 or 3 calls a day but no one ever speaks which is just as well for them as the second word will be off,never had these calls until i joined talk talk.regards p g

Got phone call just 20 minutes ago.  No answer at first, then foreign woman in broken english asked for my husband by name. Asked who is it, then she mentioned my name. Asked who it was and said something about problem with my computer.  Told her straight, said no problem with the computer and to not ring my number again.  Told her do not want bogus people ringing up.

Just had a called from this number by an parkistan man (yeah whoelse would it be!!!) and knew it was a scam so I played along with him.  Same as with other posts here he ask for me by my name (not sure how he got my name.  I am with Talktalk, seemed to get alot of nuisance calls since joined Talktalk) I asked him where he got my  number from, he claimed to be calling from Mcafee and yes surpise surprise he sees alot of errors on my pc.  So I just lead him merry dance for about 20 minutes until he ask for my credit card detail,  I gave him the number 01234567890.  he kept saying that's a wrong number and I kept telling him I had this cred card for donkeys.  Eevntually the penny drop and he hung up.  We all should waiste their time and tied up their phone line so stoppping them conning other people and hopefuuly drive them out of bussiness!!!!!

I've had this number call several times and logged it with the police then informed talktalk who should then put a block on it...

I keep gettng calls from this number and there is no one there very annoying.

I have just had a call from this number saying he was doing research and asked who supplied my electricity. I hung up but have reported it to Consumer Direct on 08454 040506 who are collecting data about these calls, also reported it to Action Fraud on 0300 1242040. Please do the same if you are getting these calls, they are very irritating and unwanted

What was the Police response? Did Talktalk charge you?
