I've had +123456789 ring me several times, don't know what scam they're pulling, so I've blocked the number just in case it costs £15-00 a minute to talk to them.....

It's a "Name that Scam" number.  Pick a scam and they are using that fake number, computer virus, surveys, mobile 'phones. Take your pick.

i had a call and have told them numerous times that please can they take us off there database as that person doesnt live here we have a new born baby and they ring us 3/4/5 times a day and i told them i would ring trading standards and the police for nusience calling i dont need this so i have found out that they are ADSL broadband sevices the peson called me at2015pm and replyed to me BLA BLA BLA being very rude this is totaly wrong and un proffessional.  please can you sort this out.

just had a call on my land line from 01234567890 a woman, from a very hot country, tried to tell me i had a problem with my computer as they were getting faulty reports and she could correct this prodlem if i switched my PC on .smelling a rat i told her i was busy as christmas was so close.she said she would phone me back on jan 2nd. with a suspicious mind i typed 01234567890 into google what a wealth of information.hope this helps others to "spot a RAT" cant wait for jan 2. what a new year greeting shes going to get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the last 3 months this number has called my poorly parents in their 90s everyday. They (Asian speaking) call centre lowlifes swear obscenities when told "not interested and remove telephone number from their database". My sister who was sent to india to train indians to do her job before she was made redundant believes the call centre staff have been told by their employers to swear.

It appears their tactic is to harrass and upset people if they do not getwhat they want.

Just fedup have contacted the police and talktalk and nobody seems to want to help.  Just told to change their number, not an option when they are at deaths door and the doctor is visiting everyday.

All these authorities we pay to help us and they do nothing

Just had a call fro this number claiming to be a "healt care manager" asking very personal questiona about my health and diet and then very abruptly proceeded to try and sell me Vitamin Supplements over the phone. Definitely a spam of some kind. I hung up.

I too had this call back in October 2011. Told them they cannot be genuine as my Broadband provider would not give my details to third party. They immediately hung up and never heard back from.

However I did receive a call today from the same number claiming to be "health care manager" and very forcibly trying to sell me Vitamin Supplements.

I regularly receive calls from 01234567890. Mostly there is no one there but some times there is. Today I asked the caller where he was based - A. 14 Hanover Square, London - "Yes, right".
Also company name which turned out to be "NERD" - so sounded highly reputable.

Then he went in to a pitch I have heard from many Indian callers: we have received errors from your Windows operating system, these are very serious and caused by viruses . . .

If you go the full way with this you will probably download something and pay handsomely for doing it. At best it will be irrelevant at worst it will be harmful.

Best advice: put your phone on to 'speaker' and lay it down. This will waste their time or just ignore / terminate the call.

Over the last few months I've had an indian person keep wanting me to put my computer on and put the problem right which I have , he says it's to do with  an error on windows.i do have a problem with not being able too install updates,  but how do I no if it's a scam the number is 01234567890

What does that mean?

just had a call from them, there was a woman in a noisy background saying hello after everything i said.

I answered this call to be told my Microsoft  internet is working slowly and I need to allow "them" to talk me through the processes to correct it. I told them to call back later as I wanted to check them out. the caller told me their address is 14 Hanover St London which is correct for Microsoft but the phone number is nothing like that showing. I did try talking to Microsoft on 0844 800 2400 but gave up as the automated numbers were passing me all over the show and I gave up after ten minutes. I won't answer the number again.

This is a well known scam.  It was highlighted on "You've been Scammed", BBC1, 21st November last year.  These people try to get remote access to your computer.  If you let them do so they will install spyware/malware on the machine.  Any money they ask for seems to be a diversion to hide what they are really doing. They do not mention money until after they get access so thst if you refuse to pay and end the call the damage has been done.  The Director of Security for Microsoft said, on the same programme, tha neither they, nor their partners, would ever 'phone you.  It would be a breach of their privacy rules.  You can check out the scam on the Microsoft website. By the way, the telephone number is fake, via Skype or VOIP from India.

Just had call from this number. Bloke with asian accent said that my computer is causing problems with the Windows system and asked me to put it on to do a check.  I said that I thought the call was strange and not sure that I believed him.  He said "God Bless" and hung up!

Yes, I think it foolish to do any business with cold call strangers. As soon as it is identified as such simply hang up. I don't think it prudent to leave them dangling on your phone; esp if your PC is on.

5 calls have been made starting 8.10am -4pm don't know who theyare

Had a few calls from this number the last couple of days,  was answered due to it having our local code.  An Asian man told me that we had a security problem with our computer,  when asked for his name and company he replied with a stream of abuse and hung up.  Dog whistle at the ready for the next one ;)

I just had a call from this number. An Asian bloke on the I line, I told him to go as I was watching the football on TV, and I put the phone down. He rang back and asked why I had put the phone down. I spoke to him in Welsh and put the phone down. So far he has not rang back!

keep on getting calls from this number, is silent then a voice says goodbye,,,,,,,,,wierd!!!!!!!!!!!!  have reported to OFCOM as am sick of this crap
