I always keep them on for as long as possible to run up their call costs enquiring about what they know about my computer and how etc. They keep telling me I have a PC and they can see it. I ask questions about how and what operating system etc and then dump on them that I have an Apple Mac at which point they put the phone down. However they are as thick as 2 short planks as they keep on calling. One can never pick up the name of the company they quote as they garble it but you can always hear the Microsoft bit. This number is on a call I missed but they are all the same. I have just had a brain waggle to lengthen the call, tell them your off to log on and that your connection is a bit unreliable and go and make a cup of tea. See how long they will hold.

Just had this mob ring and ask for me by name..... Asked them to ring back at 5 (which they did) when they rang back I said they were through to a police call centre and would they like to report a crime? Oh this was very funny as they had no script to reply with....he was definitely losing his patience with me (shame). He hung up just as it was getting entertaining. Looking forward to them ringing back.....

01234 765093 just called me and told that they were calling from BT Wizard and there are some problems with my computer. i am a computer technician myself, so i thought i would go along with it. When i asked if the call was genuine i was handed over to a supervisor who tried to reassure me that the call was genuine.
    Whatever next eh!!

Had a call from this number this morning from an Asian man calling himself Joe. He said he was calling from "PC Wizard" and that they were aware that there was a malicious programme on my computer. Straight away I knew this was a scam. I told him that I had very good protection on my computer and that if there was a problem I would take it to my local computer depot. His response was that protection would not be enough and that the computer depot would not be able to deal with it. I said straight away that I was in no way prepared to give him access to my computer or give him any other details and that my name and phone number were to be removed from their database, at which point the phone went dead. I did 1471 and was given number 01234765093 - I have reported this to PC Wizard

This number is the dangerous Microsoft scam. I told them where to go, Under no circumstances get fooled by these crooks. They nearly got me a few months ago as the phone call coincided with my computer going down and I assumed for a moment ion my panic that this was genuine.
These guys are thieves and will screw your computer.

Got a call from these saying I had issue's with my laptop/pc - passed the phone to my boyfriend who 'pretended' to be a police sargeant, after giving them some rubbish talk for about 10mins he hung up - they rung back asking to speak to 'The Mother F*****', I left them on the phone, and put it on silent - they hung up after about 30 seconds

Got a call from this number., the jerk on the phone was cheeky and had the audacity to ask me why I was asking him how he got my number. He fired at least two questions at me which were none of his busiiness and I didnt answer. He got really sarcastic so I hung up. Know that these ppl have jobs to do etc, etc but I blame the phone company's like BT, Talktalk to name but a few. They will not admit it ever but I am  accusing them of selling on our details to third party. Who else is doing it,? I dont give my number out to anyone I dont know and if I have tooopt out of recieving calls from third parties Mobile companies are at it as well. The damn government need to get a grip on this problem as this is getting out of control. My number is suppposed to be x directory. Having a laugh x directory my a**e.

I have just kept them on the phone for twenty-five minutes. I am becoming rather an expert at winding these sort of people up. But this lot were too dense to react to my first few attempts at insinuating they were idiots. I was passed to two further 'technicians' who got more and more frustrated at my failure to understand what they wanted me to do - give them access to my computer. In the end I brought up a police siren sound effect and told them that I had received a message saying tell caller to FO. And I did. I was getting bored, otherwise I reckon I could have kept going for another half an hour.

another call in a similar vein saying they are calling about my "windows Computer" and can help with the viruses that are on it.

I informed them that not only was this the umpteenth call I'd had on the subject but that I built the PC myself so knew exactly what was right (and wrong) with it.

I think they'd hund up before I had the chance to finish asking them to please remove me from their database.

Got a call today from this number. A person of obvious ethnic origin who claimed that his name was Brian.  When I asked him how he got my number he replied, "I'll never tell you", so I hung up.

We have just enjoyed an hour long call from these idiots. They told me that our computer was infected so we played along, asking if humans could catch it, if the dog was at risk, etc. He kept his temper remarkably well for a good twenty minutes as we pretended to switch the laptop on and off, restart it, let it install updates etc. Then he passed us on to his senior partner, who tried to explain how serious it was and that it would eat the hard drive. We suggested that we should but it into a bath of Domestos to kill all known germs, and that we should throw it out rather than have an infected computer in the house! He told us not to do that, saying that he would help us. After another lengthy session of acting totally stupid he said that he would call back. He did so and we told him that we had sprayed the laptop woth throat spray to kill the infection. He did sound a bit cross by this time. He asked what we could see on the screen. "My holiday snaps, my emails and a site on Google called WhoCallsMe where it said that it was a scam call. We asked if SCAM was the name of the infection and at that point he put the phone down. Round one to us!

My friend got a call from this number today, they gave the name "PC Wizard" and claimed she had a virus on her PC and needed to download their software to repair the damage, she called their bluff and threatened to call the police on them, the accent then changed from Indian to american, they then started saying "oh my god" over and over and hung up. She has had calls from these people everyday for months, before it was just breathing on the other end!
